8/21/2023 Scottish Inns - Kenmore, NY Positives 1. Adequate vehicle parking 2. Check In - Signed registration and given the room key 3. Room Cleanliness - very good 4. Maid Service - Fresh towels daily and bed was made 5. Good shower water pressure with sufficient hot water 6. Check Out - Easy, room key left with office manager Negatives 1. No closet space in the room to hang clothes! 2. Bed very uncomfortable - box spring hard and mattress had little cushion 3. Bedspread too thin 4. No blanket provided 5. No way to adjust the air condition unit 6. No towel racks in bathroom 7. Basin hot water faucet took 15 minutes to get warm water 8. Cracked bathroom tile in front of basin sink 9. Not a budget motel, too expensive

My room was horrible. The toilet had a crack at the base and leaked, There were numerous bugs in the room, especially in the bathroom area (including roaches). There was mold in the shower area and around the bathroom window. Do not stay at this motel unless you are prepared for unsanitary, unhealthy conditions.

The room we recieved had baby roaches and full adult roaches in the room. It was purely disgusting! There was a roach trap behind the tv stand and I spoke to the front desk and they denied that the room had roaches. However later said that they have Orkin to come and spray, so they knew they had roaches intheir rooms and stil decided to rent rooms. They lied about a refund at which it took about a week to get clarity on the refund status, we are still awaiting the process. I would not stay at this hotel. There were roaches crawling on the bed. I cant believe it. The hotel also had police outside and people walking around and in the back of the hotel engaging in suspicious behaviour. Unfortunately I am not able to upload the photos in the review

Horrible, Number 1 was lied to this is not a hotel this is a motel with horrid service and the room looked nothing like the images. Number 2 the man at the front office had a horrible attitude was nice at first but the second I asked a question he hit me with “you did not read the terms correctly” Number3 walked into the room and it smelt like cigarettes even though the “hotel” is smoke free and now all of my stuff smells like cigarettes. Number 4 The bed was very squeaky and the moment I moved just a little it made sounds. Could not sleep at all. Number 5 Awoken around 3 am heard people shouting and very loud and aggressive Number 6 Bathroom door in room 201 would not lock or close for that matter Also provided towels had bugs in them Number 7 shampoo and body wash did not work and shampoo was incredibly low quality and body wash was scratchy hard and frankly hurt to use.

The front desk staff was very friendly. The room was ok overall, except the floor was terribly dirty. Definitely had to keep shoes on inside because my socks were disgusting from walking around.

Before we entered the room we were told if anyone smokes in the room we would be charged extra which is completely understandable. We got into the room and the floors were dirty so we kept our shoes on. The backboard to one of the beds you could clearly see 2 handprints and other prints from someone being intimate. So we had my 6 yr old sleep in the other bed. Both beds had blankets that were covered in burn holes and stained sheets. Luckily we had travel pillows and blankets in the car for our long car ride. When my boyfriend stepped out to smoke by his car, he had people asking him for money, and to buy cigarettes and Marijuana (which we did not have). It was definitely not a very comfortable experience especially with my child. We definitely we never be staying there again.

I liked the size of the room it’s a bit out dated but everything worked ok. The mattress was firm if you enjoy that kind of mattress and looking for a place to sleep for a night this place isn’t bad for the price.

We booked last minute as we needed a place to stay in Buffalo. We got to the hotel and check in was fine. Went out for the night and came back to a room that was 65 degrees. When I asked front desk they said you can’t control your own heat and that’s where they keep it. It’s not even room temperature on any scale. It was a freezing sleep with think blankets

Spacious, clean, a bit dated (no USB connection but many electrical outlets). Two reasonably priced restaurants with good food within walking distance and two expressways within a mile. Not the Ritz but, for the price, the next best thing.

Good = Less expensive than major hotels. Bad = No closet; Thin bed spread without blanket; Chilly due to no heat control; C-Pac like sound enters via radiator floor trim; rental unit above heard like in a drum; Glad I brought my own pillows.

The check in is slow with hand written everything. The room is very run down with unprofessional attempts at repairs. Our neighbors were sketchy at best. Another motel that doubles as housing for homeless people AND a motel. Wish they'd pick ONE. But I have to say the landscaping was pretty.

There were no blankets. Only a sheet and a 1970s cover. When i asked for a blanket i was told this was the new technology to not have blankets. I had to argue with th Manager to get one. Pillows were tiny and old, asked for more. They didn't have any. No tissues in the room. They didn't have any. The air conditioner went on and off every 5 min and sounded like a jet engine! Woke us up all night long and you could not turn it off. Don't ever stay here

So I had discovered a roach in the bathroom and I called the front desk very calmly to try and have the owner come and see it for himself and then I wouldn't even trying to leave I was going to ask for a different room and the gentleman started yelling at me telling me that he wasn't coming to the room telling me that that they don't have bugs and then I can leave if I wanted to

Pretty affordable compared to many others. Staff was very polite and attentive. Few issues here and there with cold water not working correctly but nothing major. In a great area with convenience stores in walking distance. Definitely reccomend if you need something cheap and quaint to stay

We stayed there for 1 night and we checked in late but our stay experience was not good , we got a damaged blanket , when tried to call the front desk the phone was jot working and it already late night we were not ok for wasting time rushing around for a blanket but very disappointed with the stay for the price i paid was not worthy though.i want full refund for my stay

There was a bug and droppings in the bed. The top cover was a weird plastic material. Bathroom didn’t really close. AC was decent and there was soap and towels. Get what you pay for, here.

I had very bad experience staying at Scotish Inn. I booked 2 beds for 4 people, they charged me $50 extra, out of no where saying i have two guests. Rooms are dirty with smoking smell. Experience of stay was horrible. AC doesn't work, Bath tub water logging. Total stay experience was terrible. Stay away from this.

Read the reviews AFTER I'd booked my stay - BUT, I was pleasantly surprised. Older building, needs some additional touch-ups; nothing that really affected our stay. Large, clean room, with a bigger than average mini-fridge (& freezer) AND a microwave. Brought food with me, my companion was glad to have the opportunity to warm it up. AC worked well, King bed was comfortable, and TV channels included the chance to watch Stanley Cup playoffs! Felt secure with the digital door and a dead-bolt. Royal Restaurant next door, Olympic diner across the street, easy to walk to both. It's not a luxurious place, but it was MORE than adequate for our stay, and the $ was right! Didn't use the shower, so not able to comment on water pressure, but the toilet in our first floor unit was powerful. Not noisy at all, did hear the upstairs guest occasionally, no big deal. Saw one small spider (just like being at home!), no other bugs to speak of. Check in was fine (staff was friendly and helpful), I would stay again if the need arose.
