The river is literally a stones throw from the porch. The guys and kids enjoyed fishing.They caught a few trout which we released but we also saw others catching fish most days. The fire pit was a hit with the kids too. Smores every night! I enjoyed watching the wildlife from the porch rockers especially the geese every morning. The house was clean and well stocked. This is our 4th stay because it's a perfect vacation on the river.

Property was very clean and cozy. Had family over and fished off the riverbank. The backyard is exactly as pictured and there is a raised up plateau with chairs that is right on the river and you can fish from right on the river. There is a river access also if you want to go into the river. Loved my stay and the hosts went above and beyond for me when I needed them due to my error

No propane for the fireplace feature on the back deck. Only one days wood for the firepit.House was very clean including floors, kitchen and bathrooms.Towels clean but sheets, pillowcase and comforters need updates.Difficult to open key box. Numbers difficult to enter without significant pressure.

The property was nice and clean with a great back porch. Nice fire pit in the back yard and a great sitting area on the rivers edge. Easy access into the river to go fishing. Although we did a full day guided float trip we still had a couple 1/2 days fishing the river at the property. Just a very nice spot.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The river was about 50 feet from the back door, you can sit next to it or on the back deck. We used both fire pits during our stay. It rained all day our last day so the deck pit was a nice touch. The house is just down the road from a grocery store and maybe 10 minutes from a Walmart for other items. Very easy to get around the area. If you are into fly fishing this is a wonderful place to stay! Thanks again to the owners for sharing this property with us. We truly loved our stay!

The pictures don't do justice to how peaceful it is to sit by the river or even sit in the living room and watch the water flow. Kitchen is well stocked and the neighborhood was really nice and quiet. The owner was super responsive to one minor issue had. They also put in a really nice new gas fire pit on the deck. Lots to enjoy!

Couldn’t get key out of box. Son got it out. Before leaving couldn’t get the key box opened- finally after several tries son got it. Dishwasher about to fall out of cabinet.

We were in town for softball nationals, but this home was the highlight of our stay. Our stay at this Tennessee riverfront home was nothing short of perfect. The property sits right on the water, offering stunning views from sunrise to sunset. The beautifully landscaped grounds felt like something out of a magazine — lush greenery, vibrant flowers, and perfectly maintained outdoor spaces made it a joy just to walk around. Whether sitting on the deck with a morning coffee or relaxing by the river in the evening, the environment was peaceful and restorative. The gentle sounds of the water, the fresh air, and the privacy of the location made it an ideal place to unwind. If you’re looking for a scenic and truly relaxing escape, this home is a gem.

This property very well maintained, fully functional with all amenities, highly responsive owner. The front of the property simply appears as a nice house just off Broad St. But the back of the house, yard, firepit, directly on the river with easy wading access makes it special for the fisherman.

We loved our weekend here. It was a cold but beautiful time of year to admire the river and surrounding landscape. Perfect driving distance to the main part of Elizabethton. The rental was very clean, had all necessary accommodations, and provided an excellent place to relax.

I was sorely disappointed to get here and find the disgusting kitchen. Two of the burners on the stove needed the drip trays replaced. Beyond the cleaning stage. Opened the oven to find a sheet pan with 4 old baked potatoes, coated in butter or something. I threw the whole thing away. Toaster, every handle in the place, counters, table, all grimy. Owner offered to send someone to clean, but who wants to watch an angry cleaning person cleaning again, and we didn't want to leave our stuff with an angry cleaning person, either. I traveled 600 miles to clean a kitchen! The grill was the same. A beer bottle with cigarette butts in it sat on the grill. Empty beer box on the porch. Just a horrible thing to walk into. I felt compelled to clean up so that I wouldn't be charged for leaving it a mess! Pop cup in the driveway. Wet papertowels in the sink. Stones in the dryer, which had 1" of lint in the lint trap. There were no dish rags or sponges to clean anything, so we went to WalMart. You are welcome to the next guest. The owners did initiate a refund of our cleaning fee and one day's rental, but it went to a closed account, so now that fight begins. A beautiful home in a great location. The owners are just a little lacking in upkeep and cleaning. They allowed the previous renters to stay too long with no thought to the time it would take to clean things up. They allowed 3 hours of cleaning for what should have been given 3 days! Anyway, will never, ever return.or grease

We really enjoyed our stay and loved the location which was very convenient to meet our fishing guide and any groceries or supplies we needed. Our only suggestion is that the bathroom sink and tub need a little Draino to clear them a little bit. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

We stayed at this lovely property for two nights while visiting our son at ETSU. The house was very clean. We really enjoyed the rocking chairs and propane fireplace on the back porch. It was wonderful to sit out there in the mornings with our coffee. It rained a bit during our visit, so we didn’t get to make use of the fire pit. There were plenty of towels and most other necessities. Make sure to bring soap, shampoo, and conditioner, as that is not provided. The master bedroom mattress seemed a little worn, but the other beds were newer and comfortable. Overall, we all really enjoyed our stay and would come back again in the future. Thank you!

This is our second time staying at this beautiful home and we absolutely love it. Their is plenty of room for the family The view of the river and sitting arrangements at the river are the best. The host was super nice and answered any questions promptly. She also let us know when it was ready for our stay, so we actually got to check in earlier than expected, so that was nice. If I could give this home 10 stars I would. We will be back to stay again in the future and recommend this place to family and friends.

This is our 3rd. Thanksgiving stay. We choose Fisherman’s dream for the views, fishing and the house is always clean and decorated with a cute cabin feel with the closeness of town a few min. Away. Just watch out for the bear in the kitchen in the middle of the night. If you don’t believe us book a stay and find out for yourself.

This was the perfect house for an extended family. Grandma and mom, dad and three children stayed comfortably. Location is great to all stores. Cleanliness of the house was greatly appreciated. We would definitely stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay. The location and close proximity to the river was great! The beds were a little uncomfortable and kitchen items could be a little better but overall it was a great stay. I’d stay again.

We enjoyed our time. Fishing on the river was great until mid afternoon when water rises with dam release. Also because the fishing is good, there are many fisherman who fish this area both by wading and in boats. We enjoyed being close to shops, local attractions and restaurants but we also missed a more secluded location. It was kind of the best of both worlds. Our main focus was fishing for our adult son. We enjoyed the back porch and sitting out there every day. Would suggest some updates on the mattresses. The master bedroom especially was very noisy when sitting down and rolling over. Enjoyed the openess of the floor plan and having everything on single floor.

This is a great place to stay. Nothing fancy but very comfortable. It's in a residential area but the backyard on the river still makes it feel like you are someplace pretty. It was too cold to sit outside and enjoy the fire pit or river seating much but we saw a Great Blue Heron every day. Would love to come back to enjoy the outdoor area and do some fishing! I would suggest adding a kettle - either electric or stovetop - for tea but otherwise it was reasonably well appointed with kitchen supplies.

So relaxing. Caught some trout. Enjoyed the fire pit. Owner was very fast replying when we had a question. Definitely will stay again.

This is our second time staying at this beautiful home and we absolutely love it. Their is plenty of room for the family The view of the river and sitting arrangements at the river are the best. The host was super nice and answered any questions promptly. She also let us know when it was ready for our stay, so we actually got to check in earlier than expected, so that was nice. If I could give this home 10 stars I would. We will be back to stay again in the future and recommend this place to family and friends.

Wonderful place to stay on the river! Me and my buddies had a great time. Close to everything you need, house has everything you need. Host is quick at responding to questions. Have already booked another trip for next year!

Peoperty was clean and well located in a nice area. The Watauga river was in the back yard. Easy access for fishing and lazying by the riverside watching the beatiful scenery. Property host was very responsive to any questions we had. Highly recommended.

I was sorely disappointed to get here and find the disgusting kitchen. Two of the burners on the stove needed the drip trays replaced. Beyond the cleaning stage. Opened the oven to find a sheet pan with 4 old baked potatoes, coated in butter or something. I threw the whole thing away. Toaster, every handle in the place, counters, table, all grimy. Owner offered to send someone to clean, but who wants to watch an angry cleaning person cleaning again, and we didn't want to leave our stuff with an angry cleaning person, either. I traveled 600 miles to clean a kitchen! The grill was the same. A beer bottle with cigarette butts in it sat on the grill. Empty beer box on the porch. Just a horrible thing to walk into. I felt compelled to clean up so that I wouldn't be charged for leaving it a mess! Pop cup in the driveway. Wet papertowels in the sink. Stones in the dryer, which had 1" of lint in the lint trap. There were no dish rags or sponges to clean anything, so we went to WalMart. You are welcome to the next guest. The owners did initiate a refund of our cleaning fee and one day's rental, but it went to a closed account, so now that fight begins. A beautiful home in a great location. The owners are just a little lacking in upkeep and cleaning. They allowed the previous renters to stay too long with no thought to the time it would take to clean things up. They allowed 3 hours of cleaning for what should have been given 3 days! Anyway, will never, ever return.or grease

The pictures don't do justice to how peaceful it is to sit by the river or even sit in the living room and watch the water flow. Kitchen is well stocked and the neighborhood was really nice and quiet. The owner was super responsive to one minor issue had. They also put in a really nice new gas fire pit on the deck. Lots to enjoy!

This property very well maintained, fully functional with all amenities, highly responsive owner. The front of the property simply appears as a nice house just off Broad St. But the back of the house, yard, firepit, directly on the river with easy wading access makes it special for the fisherman.

Wonderful place to stay. The location is perfect for the waters that we wanted to fish. The place was clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare a good meal. Close to stores but, has the feel of being secluded. We really enjoy sitting on the porch or right by the flowing Watauga. We have already book again for next year!

Our family enjoyed staying at Every Fisherman's Dream even though we aren't fisher-people. We relaxed, played football, did art work and my 15 yo tried fly fishing. He didn't catch anything, but had an amazing time trying. This was the perfect spot for us to enjoy some "us" time. It was also a great distance to everything we needed, including Emmanuel Seminary and Milligan College. Highly recommend this as a place to stay if visiting a student or coming for an event at the College.

Location is excellent with a superb view of the Watauga river and close to good supermarkets and general infrastructure. House is very comfortable for a small group of friend or a family.

We enjoyed our time. Fishing on the river was great until mid afternoon when water rises with dam release. Also because the fishing is good, there are many fisherman who fish this area both by wading and in boats. We enjoyed being close to shops, local attractions and restaurants but we also missed a more secluded location. It was kind of the best of both worlds. Our main focus was fishing for our adult son. We enjoyed the back porch and sitting out there every day. Would suggest some updates on the mattresses. The master bedroom especially was very noisy when sitting down and rolling over. Enjoyed the openess of the floor plan and having everything on single floor.

Love this place. We have stayed here multiple times over the years. Really like the upgrades in the kitchen and bathroom. Very clean, beds are comfortable and then there is the wonderful view of the river. Already booked for next year! Thanks Kellie!

We came for graduation which was a very busy time. The house was a calm oasis! It was away from the hustle and bustle of town. Lots of room for everyone to get away from each other. The view was amazing. We hope to go back sometime!
