Excellent weekend!! We were in town for a show right down the street. Perfect location, excellent service, very clean. Plenty of parking in the garage attached to the hotel. Very safe and well lit. We had a great time.

Had a great stay here. Excellent attentive staff. Loved the location, convenient to the Colonial Life Center & to the Vista. The valet parking service with a valet app was very helpful & punctual.

I loved everything about my stay, staff was wonderful from start to finish. My #1 complaint would be the parking. Parking among the general public is terrible in the attached garage, tried to leave Friday night and couldn't even get out of my parking spot.

Lots of attitude at the front desk. I asked about a fee that was charged to my credit card and was told it was for parking. I explained that I self parked and was told there is nothing you can do about it that’s the fee. I said I am not paying it and got her to get the manager. The manager came out and immediately removed the charge. While removing the charge the person that told me she couldn’t do anything was arguing with the manager. In the end the manager removed the charge and I saved $5 by not agreeing to pay a fee that I never agreed to pay the hotel. This was my second time at this hotel this year. I do not think there will be a third.

This was a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!!! We upgraded to a suite and it had no sheets or pillows for pull out beds and not to mention the major issues of uncleanliness!!!! I could post pictures and go on and on but it still wouldn’t be able to make you understand the entire experience. We moved to a queen room so my kids would have somewhere to sleep and it was even more disgusting than the previous room!!! Like blood on walls it’s just so obvious that they surface clean and that’s it, if they do that. Just please believe the post that say this place needs MAJOR HELP AND VERY DEEP CLEANING especially on the 5th floor!!!!

Extremely dirty place. Room furniture is falling apart. No hot water for showers. Most of the staff was beyond rude. Hallways and elevators seemed to only be cleaned weekly which left them pretty gross. Don't let the Hilton name fool you. Management has bent over backwards to show that they could not care any less about the property. Avoid the headaches and look elsewhere

This hotel is just okay. I’ve stayed at many other hotels in the Columbia area and this was the least impressive by far. In general it feels pretty outdated, but it’s not dirty—everything just has a used feel to it. I was here two nights and it surprised me that the room wasn’t serviced while I was out and before the second night. I’m used to the bed being made, used towels removed, new provided. There are also no bottles of water provided in the room which I’m used to at other properties. There was nothing horrible about the stay. It was just less than I’m used to and wouldn’t be my first choice for the next time I’m in town for work.

Great hotel. There was a bright nightlight at the door that you could not shut off and was disturbing as we like it completely dark. Would return, still up to all the basic luxury standards we expect from the Hilton.

This was my second stay at this location, and it was just as enjoyable as my first stay. Only small issues I had were a light was out in the bathroom and the room was advertised as having a microwave, but it did not have one. There was space for one, but it definitely was missing it. Everything else was perfect - Location was great and close to everything, clean hotel, attractive bright lobby and hallways. Staff were super friendly, which is always a huge plus, especially coming from out of town and the last thing you want to encounter is a rude person at a front desk. Everyone was very pleasant. Free coffee in the lobby was great as well. My junior suite was clean, very spacious and a sure stay for me each time I'm back in Columbia SC. The missing microwave and light out was definitely not a deal breaker for me and only mentions so someone can look into them. Thanks for another great stay and looking forward to the next time. Hilton always gets it right!

Check in was ok, Megan was great but was unable to check me in a little early. I saw others checking in early but I was not able to. The second person was actually rude to me and made me wait to the the very last second and I mean the very last second Needs some customer service training

The minute we walked in, we could tell this place was lacking customer service. The lobby was full of people waiting for rooms. We were told at 4pm check in that our room was not ready and they did not know when it would be ready. The lady managing the front desk was incredibly rude. Very rude as a matter of fact.

My husband called a day before to request a rollaway bed. They told him its first come fitst serve. He called again the day of when we were at airport before we flew from Chicago to south carolina. Our flight ended up being late we got in around 11pm at night tbe hotel employee said he would have someone bring a rollaway bed there were 2 available. He went down an hour later to check because we were waiting in room. Employee was sitting down and said oh housekeeping went home for the night. And that him or the other employee had dont have keys to the closet to get us one. He also didnt apologize or try to do anything. Nor did he bother to tell us. Very unprofessional and terrible experience. The next day different staff member said we will call around and have one sent. 2 hours goes by nothing 2 more hours nothing. Finally they just switched our room to a double bed. I am requesting first nights charges to be refunded to the card ending in 1514 for this.

In the end the manager removed the charge and I saved $5 by not agreeing to pay a fee that I never agreed to pay the hotel. This was my second time at this hotel this year. I do not think there will be a third.

Lots of attitude at the front desk. I asked about a fee that was charged to my credit card and was told it was for parking. I explained that I self parked and was told there is nothing you can do about it that’s the fee. I said I am not paying it and got her to get the manager. The manager came out and immediately removed the charge. While removing the charge the person that told me she couldn’t do anything was arguing with the manager. We drove over 9 hours and got to the hotel at 5 and pm. We were told our room wasn’t ready and to wait in the lobby for 20 minutes. We waiting 40 minutes with no one coming up to us . I ended up go back up and the lady at the desk says I’m checking on that now. She then checks in more arrivals. I told her we have dinner reservations and still needed to shower she then finally gave us our keys. We were late for the reservations. I think what was so annoying was the people behind the desk laughing and not communicating anything to us as we waited. Way to long when other were coming in after us. We had no special requests so it was hard to figure out why they were doing that. When we get to the room the cleaning staff stops me and said this is for you to tip.

Excellent weekend!! We were in town for a show right down the street. Perfect location, excellent service, very clean. Plenty of parking in the garage attached to the hotel. Very safe and well lit. We had a great time.

Nice and accommodating staff. We stayed one night- two families. Spent some free time at the pool, grabbed a bottle of wine from Ruth Chris in the evening, rooms were comfortable and the hotel was walking distance to plenty of restaurants.

We had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel! We had never stayed there before. We will be staying again real soon. The staff was very friendly and professional including the restaurant. The lump crab cakes were outstanding!

I attended for a wedding and had to book last min for an extra day. Once booked they did the rest and ensured that I didn't have to move to another room. They communicated via text which was convenient. Excellent breakfast! Staff was professional and friendly.

This is a great place from the front desk to the hotel room. Ruth Cris restaurant is a great place for a night cap with dessert. Beds were very comfortable! I will definitely stay again if in the area!

This was the worst hotel I have stayed in since my car broke down on at midnight on a mountain road in a major blizzard in West Virginia (in 1987!). The front desk folks were too busy talking to each other to even make eye contact with us. The property itself is a bit past needing a refresh, especially the “suite” we got. Housekeeping never showed up. The ladies at the restaurant (Ruth’s Chris) offered to seat us at the bar for dinner, not because the restaurant was full but rather because they were short of staff that evening. Really, I haven’t left a bad review anywhere, but I can’t just let you make the same mistake without at least warning you.

Great amenities! Pool, cappuccino machine, pool view 6th floor was quiet whole 4th of July night! Thank you. Ruth Krist restaurant had great food although it was very very pricy!

Came down for a show at the Senate. Literally walked across the street. It seemed like everything was within walking distance. This place can be pricey but well worth the money. Except for the breakfast. It sucked. Do better y’all. Overall still worth the time and expense.

This is a nice hotel. The property is kept up nicely. The staff was attentive to any requests we had. The restaurant that is attached to the hotel is first rate. We love the location. I would highly recommend this property.

Work was being done in the hotel lobby and only one working elevator at the time of my stay. The self parking garage is nice as it is connected to the hotel. Only problem with parking is the gate to get out doesn’t always work and you have to wait to get car out. I waited with others over 5 minutes to get out.

This hotel was under construction during our stay, which is fine as I appreciate the upkeep, but we were not told that prior to arriving. Unfortunately, as a result of the construction, the hotel was unable to store luggage for us, there was no lobby to sit in, nor did they have any rooms available prior to check in time. Our flight arrived early in the day, so without a lobby, a room, or a place to store our luggage, we were forced to leave the hotel and explore the city while pulling our luggage behind us. All factors that are not entirely the hotels' fault or ours, but it made for a poor experience when we arrived. If we had been told ahead of time of the construction and impacts to the hotel, we could have made other accommodations or just been better prepared on what to do with our luggage. Additionally, we were met with hotel staff that were not concerned or very accommodating to the situation. Our room was clean and well kept, but the bathroom could use some general updating and repair. Hotel is in a great location to restaurants, and felt safe overall.

Hotel was under renovations during our stay. The main lobby was closed and they had temporary check in desks set up. There was a lot of worker movement around the pool area which made it less relaxing.
