Wonderful place! Nice staff, great food and location

We had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel for two weeks and cannot recommend highly enough. We arrived late and very tired and was greeted with a big smile and welcome drinks from Dimitris who always went out of his way to ensure we were enjoying our stay. We had a room overlooking the small pool which was quiet and perfect for us. But just a few steps away was the stunning large pool leading to the beautiful beach. The hotel was spotless and the room cleaned very well daily (special mention to all the cleaning staff especially Angela). All staff deserve recognition they all smile and can’t do enough for you. Breakfast had many options and was delicious which you ordered the day before. Option of being served to your room or in the restaurant overlooking the sea. The restaurant served great drinks & lovely food with a smile and although it shut at 7pm there was a great taverna next door open till very late run by the brilliant Nicos. I would recommend a car as there is so much beauty to see & plenty to do around this beautiful part of Crete. Honestly we were blown away. Thanks so much The River, we’ll be back next year. Wunderschöne Unterkunft. Perfekt gelegen, direkt am Strand und Agios Nikolaos, mit vielen Restaurants, ist zu Fuss in 15 Minuten erreichbar.
