Older motel but room was not run down. Manager was nice and helpful. Full time resident is a mechanic and took up 5 parking spots. Revving engine at 7am. Dog poop all over the parking area. Outside area not maintained very well. Beds were comfortable. Good shower pressure. Food available in convenience store in front of motel but limited to what owner wants to fix. Motel manager assured me that above problems would be addressed.

Far less than perfect but tolerable for an outdoor person. Grounds were neglected, roaches and spiders in the room, weather stripping missing from the bottom of the door, beds were advertised as queen size but were full size. Other than that, it was tolerable as compared to camping but would rate low compared to other motels.

Absolutely the worst motel ever!!!! False advertisement. No restaurant … gas station served pizza. No balcony. What a joke that was. I had reserved a king room, given a double as they didn’t have a king. The room had two queen beds that were worn out, lights weren’t working, awful smell. We requested another. Given another room with two queens. Looked and smelled a little better. We sat down to eat the pizza we purchased at the gas station and started seeing live roaches (have videos and pictures… numerous.) We were there 15 mins and immediately knew this was a health risk. What a dump!!! Threw our luggage into the car and drove 45 mins to nearest town with a vacancy. I am requesting immediate refund on this. So disappointed in the obviously false reviews. I will be using another source than Expedia for our travels.

the listing for Expedia is wrong, The picture of the reception area - this area does NOT exist. There is no "restaurant" Check in is at the gas station next door. There is no note indicating this at the motel property. We rang a buzzer and a resident at the motel finally came and told us. Roaches in the room, gap under the door, stains on the carpet. The staff person was friendly.

It was very spacious, small tv, microwave and fridge. If you want coffee; bring your own, It was in need of update. Old building, needs shower upgrades' no grab bars, tub too high for elderly to step over. All in all, it was ok, Probably wouldn't book again.

Showed up after the “store” closed. No lobby to check in at. Then took forever to get door to open as deadbolt was stuck. Finally got it opened but would jam if you didn’t lift up to open it from the inside. No local channels on tv only Roku channel. No remote for tv so had to adjust volume manually. Other than close location for fall creek falls state park it was a horrible experience. Will not stay again. All units are regular renters looked like for the most part.

DO NOT BOOK HERE. Nightmare of an experience at the Way Inn by OYO in Spencer, TN. Description says check in anytime after 3 pm and "will be greeted by front desk." There is no front desk. There is a doorbell outside a window that no one answered. After driving over 9 hours with my child and arriving after 11 pm there was no one available to check us in. Tried calling the hotel and did not get and answer. Tried calling the OYO 800# and they attempted to reach someone at the hotel and did not get an answer. No solution offered by OYO. Tried to find somewhere else to stay, but there was nothing nearby. There were not even any open gas stations/bussiness nearby where we could safely park. We slept in our car overnight. I knew I did not book the Ritz. I knew it was a "no tell Motel." I did not expect much in the way of quality as far as the room/facility was concerned, but I did expect to be able to check in and have a safe place to stay.

Given another room with two queens. Looked and smelled a little better. We sat down to eat the pizza we purchased at the gas station and started seeing live roaches (have videos and pictures… numerous.) We were there 15 mins and immediately knew this was a health risk. What a dump!!! Threw our luggage into the car and drove 45 mins to nearest town with a vacancy. I am requesting immediate refund on this. So disappointed in the obviously false reviews. I will be using another source than Expedia for our travels.

Absolutely the worst motel ever!!!! False advertisement. No restaurant … gas station served pizza. No balcony. What a joke that was. I had reserved a king room, given a double as they didn’t have a king. The room had two queen beds that were worn out, lights weren’t working, awful smell. We requested another. Older motel but room was not run down. Manager was nice and helpful. Full time resident is a mechanic and took up 5 parking spots. Revving engine at 7am. Dog poop all over the parking area. Outside area not maintained very well. Beds were comfortable. Good shower pressure. Food available in convenience store in front of motel but limited to what owner wants to fix. Motel manager assured me that above problems would be addressed.

the listing for Expedia is wrong, The picture of the reception area - this area does NOT exist. There is no "restaurant" Check in is at the gas station next door. There is no note indicating this at the motel property. We rang a buzzer and a resident at the motel finally came and told us. Roaches in the room, gap under the door, stains on the carpet. I loved how friendly the staff were the moment I walked in. The room smelled fresh and looked tidy. Breakfast could have been better with more options. Even so, I felt relaxed during my stay.

This place is horrible. The worst hotel I have ever stayed in. It looks ok, maybe, but there was junk around the property and a gravel parking lot. Honestly, I can overlook that. I can even overlook the fact that the TV didn’t work. I can overlook the dead spider in the bathroom or the cracks in the wall that I could see light from the next room through. But there is one thing so basic that I cannot overlook it. There is one thing that every single hotel in the world MUST provide - HOT WATER!!! Having to take a cold shower is absolutely ridiculous!! This hotel is a dump. No self-respecting owner would EVER allow a hotel to get to this point. The only thing this hotel has going for it is its proximity to Fall Creek Falls State Park. And that is literally the ONLY thing it has. Don’t stay here. Drive a little further and stay in a decent hotel. I have no idea how it ever got any favorable reviews.

We did not stay. We did not even check in. The car on blocks, the boarded up window, the overgrown grass and trees. Looked like a squatters place.

The staff was generally helpful. The photos shown on Hotels.com were misleading. If the reception area pictured actually exists I don’t know where it would be as the entire motel is a old style one story drive up motel. “Reception” is basically the gas station/ convenience store in front and you have to wake someone up if you arrive late..The front of the motel was overgrown with weeds. The door to our room was dirty and needed painting as did the cabinetry under the sink. The shower curtain was too long for the tub and shower and was very mildew stained at the bottom, probably because it can’t dry properly. We also needed a plunger one night at 9:30 pm and never got it. With some TLC it could be a nice vintage motel. Right now not so much.

There were no staff when I have arrived and no one was picking up the calls to assist. I had to book another room late night and have to drive another hour to reach that hotel.
