The hotel entrance is almost impossible to find. Finally I called the receptionist at the hotel, and she explained that there isn't any type of "overhang" to load and unload luggage. I was told to park in the "loading zone on the street. There is NO hotel parking, I was told I could park in the Civic center lot (which dumps you into a back alley with dumpsters etc). Then walk down to the hotel. No pop machines. Snack "bar" is a box of candy & chips next to the front desk. The suite was nice but VERY echoey. I think it needs a few more area rugs to dampen the noise. No handicap access to get in through the front door. At these prices The Force is going have step up its game. It's cheaper and far more convenient to stay in Canal Park. Which is where I will stay on my next trip to Duluth.

Place was fantastic. Close to everything and had a beautiful view. Only downside is the lack of onsite parking. That said, there is public parking right across the street so it isn’t a deal breaker. Can't wait to stay again. My new favorite hotel!

The space itself was great for our family of five to stay. That said, there were irritants that would make us not stay here again especially for the price we paid. None of the TVs are connected to WiFi, so no streaming or screen casting. Cable was available, but the TV didn't include a guide so we could figure out what was on when. Honestly, the lack of streaming on the TVs is the deal breaker. Pretty strange not to have that capability. Our family spent the day outside and exploring Duluth and wanted to go back, snuggle in, and watch a movie together. There were no extra blankets despite a lot of closet space. The kitchen was nice - we cooked some pizzas…but no hot pads. The coffee set up was lacking as well - only two regular coffee pods. The room did not include any kind of materials about things to do in the area, hotel amenities, etc. There isn't a restaurant or bar on the premises, so if you stay there, be sure to stock up things you may need. This was an expensive option to lack the items noted above. Definitely not worth it.

Very nice new hotel. Spacious and clean room with a great kitchenette. Very comfy king bed. Beautiful views of downtown and bay area. They need a hug Main Entrance/Lobby sign on the front of the building. Information regarding temporary parking in the loading zone area on Michigan Street on the south side of the building for unloading and check in, and overnight parking either in the ramp 1.5 blocks away ($10/night) or in the lot across the street ($19/night) should be included in the reservation confirmation email.

Everything was great once we figured out where the hotel was. Obviously, we had the address, but there was limited exterior signage and no loading/unloading zone or parking area. We ended up circling the block before realizing where the main entrance was. Other than that, the hotel room itself was great for our 2 night stay in Duluth. Would stay again no concerns.

Staff was friendly, and hotel was very clean and seemed to be well taken care of. Loved the view of Bentleyville. Parking is off site but even at -9 it was not an issue and cost was only $10 a day.

The sheets had big stain on them unfortunately I just took a picture of one stain before I went to bed and when I woke up in the morning with better lighting I then realized that the whole sheet had stains all over! Also no parking and no breakfast (not even complimentary coffee) was available so we had to park outside which was a block away and we paid $10. Overall really overpriced for what is offers! Super disappointed!

Not the best stay - one bathroom had a clogged toilet and also had an emtpy shampoo bottle and empty kleenex box, no body soap in other bathroom (hotel had containers of shampoo, conditioner, and body soap in each bathroom and obviously no one checked to see if each bottle needed filling up)

The room was okay. Was told to park in 410 W 1st St and after doing so, I walked by a bunch of signs saying to pay online with a barcode. Not wanting my vehicle to be towed/to be fined I paid the fee. (Even though parking was said to be free with our stay) I asked the front desk about it and was told I would be refunded the $10 parking fee because the parking fees were already included in our stay. The next morning I asked the front desk again and was told that they have no way to give me my money back because they aren’t affiliated with Duluth Public Parking even though they have a partnership with them? I feel scammed. Also, the website said that there were streaming services like Netflix but our TV said Netflix was “unavailable” I asked the front desk and was told that she doesn’t know how to fix it and just “oh well, sorry”. I felt scammed again. None of our few requests were answered and I regret staying there.

Kitchen very well equipped. Large rooms and a very roomy bathroom with step in shower. King bed very comfortable. We only had an overnight but I could see how this place would be a very good accommodation for a longer stay.

Our room was almost brand new. Great view of the Duluth Depot and Library from our windows. The bed was perfect and the kitchenette would have been great if we would have stayed longer. You can exit the hotel onto Superior St. Easy to pop out and find a restaurant or coffee.

Overnight to visit daughter at college. 3 issues re this stay. Room 604. Our thermostat was locked so I had to freeze at 68 degrees all night. Water pressure in our room was terribly low and TV was supposed to be a Smart TV but this was not hooked up or working.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom 2 bath suite on top floor. Had an incredible view of lake, lift bridge etc kiddy corner from historic depot so we could easily walk across street to board our dinner train. Room had state of the art amenities (Inc 3 TV's), very comfortable beds, beautiful glass door showers, total of 12 windows with awesome views, quiet. Would definitely stay again!

Was running late after a 14h shift and the front desk stayed for another 45 min past desk close to check me in which i am eternally greatful for, as i went for a walk around the block after i got checked in, so about midnight, and was barked at by someone on the street soi guess he aware at night but the hotel itself was beautiful the room was luxurious beautiful views from the windows anf would highly recommend.

Where do I start! I came to this property to check i at 1pn and I understood that my check in was not available until 3pm. We drcided to go have lunch. We returned ar 3pm. The lady gave me our room keys and I went to get my dogs to settle in. Upon re entering the hotel the front assistant told me that my room wastnt ready i asked her how long would it take and she said 30 minutes. An hour passed with my 2 dogs and all of us tired and filled with anxiety I asked what was happening. She mentioned that they were "putting the last finishing touches" to our room. All while, the cleaning staff was complaining to the front desk. Finally we were told that our room had changed and they allowed us to check in 2 hours after. This story gets worse....
Where do I start! I came to this property to check i at 1pn and I understood that my check in was not available until 3pm. We drcided to go have lunch. We returned ar 3pm. The lady gave me our room keys and I went to get my dogs to settle in. Upon re entering the hotel the front assistant told me that my room wastnt ready i asked her how long would it take and she said 30 minutes. An hour passed with my 2 dogs and all of us tired and filled with anxiety I asked what was happening. She mentioned that they were "putting the last finishing touches" to our room. All while, the cleaning staff was complaining to the front desk. Finally we were told that our room had changed and they allowed us to check in 2 hours after. This story gets worse....

Holy buckets, this place was AWESOME! We weren’t sure what to expect, especially since we got such a good deal. I was absolutely blown away. Everything was super clean and comfortable. Parking was close by, as well as our destination for the trip, Bentleyville. The view from our room was so great, too! Ben at the front desk was a rockstar and was happy to banter with my high energy 4 year old. This is our new favorite property in the area!

They would benefit from having a big hotel sign on the Michigan side so drivers can see clearly from the street or on the facade of the building above the front entrance. Wish the car parking situation was clearly described online. Parking is available across the street or a few blocks away in the convention center, but it’s not free of charge for hotel guests. In the other words, the hotel does not have a parking garage; there is parking near by and it’s not free.

I stayed here with my mom in the Superior Suite (1 Queen Bed with Sofa Bed, City View) and it was fantastic! The suite had two separate bedrooms (one with the queen, one with the sofa bed), two full bathrooms, and a spacious living area with a comfortable couch and a kitchen. Everything felt brand new and well thought-out. The Aveda toiletries were a nice luxury touch. The hotel itself just opened recently, and it shows in the fresh, modern feel of the space. We really enjoyed our room and would absolutely stay again for the accommodations alone. A couple of things to note: the location is downtown Duluth, so it’s not as touristy as Canal Park. There were more unhoused individuals in the area than you’d see near the lake, and there aren’t a ton of restaurants or shops immediately nearby (though we did grab pizza from the bowling alley close by, and it was great!). Also, parking wasn’t included—it was $24 for our one-night stay. Overall, the room itself was incredible and made for a really comfortable stay.

Place was fantastic. Close to everything and had a beautiful view. Only downside is the lack of onsite parking. That said, there is public parking right across the street so it isn’t a deal breaker. Can't wait to stay again. My new favorite hotel!

It’s a 10 minute walk from the Canal if you cut across the boat area. Easy to walk to everything, and an absolutely beautiful hotel with gorgeous views! I don’t actually expect it to look like the picture when we checked in, because it’s so affordable but it was exactly what it showed and more! Full set of dishes and utensils. Beautiful room, full kitchen, everything is completely remodeled! Was stunning and wonderful!

The hotel itself was great. Spacious rooms and bathrooms. The view is nice when its not foggy. However the parking situation was not good at all. I understand its downtown with no parking lot but when you have to walk two blocks to a parking garage at night. No thanks. And if you forget something in your car theres no going back. Also the traffic is noisy on 5th avenue.

Great views from the room. Very nice facility! Reasonably priced. Close to downtown. We easily walked to the restaurants on Canal Park, though there were some sketchy characters in the area around the hotel at night.

Amazing stay! The room was very spacious. Very clean and the beds and pillows were super comfortable. The only downside was no discounted parking across the street - discounted @$10.00 was a block away. Loved our stay - walking distance from Canal Park and Bayfront. We could see the lake from our room.

The hotel is new so very clean and had all the items you would need. The room was spacious and quiet. Parking is a couple blocks away but it worked out. It is a drive to canal park but walking to restaurants and bars.

The space itself was great for our family of five to stay. That said, there were irritants that would make us not stay here again especially for the price we paid. None of the TVs are connected to WiFi, so no streaming or screen casting. Cable was available, but the TV didn't include a guide so we could figure out what was on when. Honestly, the lack of streaming on the TVs is the deal breaker. Pretty strange not to have that capability. Our family spent the day outside and exploring Duluth and wanted to go back, snuggle in, and watch a movie together. There were no extra blankets despite a lot of closet space. The kitchen was nice - we cooked some pizzas…but no hot pads. The coffee set up was lacking as well - only two regular coffee pods. The room did not include any kind of materials about things to do in the area, hotel amenities, etc. There isn't a restaurant or bar on the premises, so if you stay there, be sure to stock up things you may need. This was an expensive option to lack the items noted above. Definitely not worth it.

The sheets had big stain on them unfortunately I just took a picture of one stain before I went to bed and when I woke up in the morning with better lighting I then realized that the whole sheet had stains all over! Also no parking and no breakfast (not even complimentary coffee) was available so we had to park outside which was a block away and we paid $10. Overall really overpriced for what is offers! Super disappointed!

Our room was almost brand new. Great view of the Duluth Depot and Library from our windows. The bed was perfect and the kitchenette would have been great if we would have stayed longer. You can exit the hotel onto Superior St. Easy to pop out and find a restaurant or coffee.

What’s great, easy and super dog friendly experience. It was super clean, easy to manage and the suite itself was just as pictured. We found great coffee at the studio a few blocks away, the front desk was super friendly and the rooms were comfortable. Parking is paid but it is very reasonable, accessible and easy to navigate. Would stay here again!

Definitely not a 2-star hotel like Google Maps/Reviews has it. Probably the nicest hotel room I've ever stayed in. Full-service kitchen with cookware, 4 stove burners, standard fridge (not mini), oven, etc. Only thing missing is a washer and dryer, which is to be expected. Clean tile in the bathroom. Nice tv with tons of live tv channels to choose between. The little gym has more equipment than I knew how to work, which was awesome. Would highly recommend!

Parking requires a little extra work, but you know that if you’ve booked here. Never needed to use the car to check out what I wanted to do. Incould stay here again, and head out to some other neighborhoods next time (with the car!)
