Absolutely extraordinary property. Easily the best property in Sancerre. However, when we stayed the restaurant had to shut down for a mechanical difficulty, thus canceling a reservation that we were really looking forward to. Still, a spectacular hotel with some of the coolest views of the Loire to be seen.

Amazing stay in this hotel, staying for two nights in their Junior Suite. Hotel is exceptional, building renovated to a modern standard with architectural and designer items everywhere, inc stunning furniture and quality products throughout. Grounds are lovely with the hotel perched on the top of Sancerre, overlooking the town and the Loire. You can also get access to the Tour des Fiefs tower which is in the grounds. Our room was spacious, well designed and quality throughout. Breakfast was good but I think they could refine and improve the offering, offering small fruit salads and some other pre-prepared items. We had dinner at the hotel for one evening during a special week with the chef and his father cooking, this was well worth it. They are expanding with some new rooms and adding a pool and have plenty of parking. We were staying on our honeymoon and it would have been nice to have had something small in the room to acknowledge this, but do appreciate this is a cost to them. I'd recommend and if we are in the area again I would stay, would like to see their new tower room and pool.

Hotel is a real chateau/palace.Majestic view overlooking vineyard country.very few guestrooms so it is a very private/boutique hotel.rented bikes from the hotel and had a fabulous day biiing through the countryside.
