Friendly staff. Nice accommodations, including game room, covered patio with tables by pool, nice seating area in lobby, small market, Starbucks coffee machine in lobby, and made to order breakfast! Rooms were large and clean, comfy beds with many pillows. TVs had lots of channel options. AC worked well, though a little loud. Keurig in room with k-cups, as well as mini fridge and microwave. Nice outdoor pool. Great place to stay!

Staff was very friendly. Nice seating in lobby area with Starbucks coffee available in lobby 24/7. Rooms were spacious and clean. Beds were soft and comfy with lots of pillows. Brand name toiletries with soft towels and soft toilet paper. Keurig coffee maker (with k-cups), as well as mini fridge and microwave in each room. Game room with ping pong, lovely covered outdoor patio mat poolside. Breakfasts included hot items (sausage, scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits & gravy, oatmeal) and cold items (Cereal, yogurt, danishes, fruit, milk, juices) and pre packed items (peanut butter, Nutella). But the best part of breakfast was the station where you could order an omelette, waffles, or eggs over easy!

We had to stay in town for the night for a Saturday wedding. The location was obviously newly renovated, and was clean and quiet. Breakfast had many offerings and was well appointed. The hotel is also close to a variety of restaurants and shopping. Overall a quiet and clean hotel that I would patronize again if the need arose.

Bedding, towels and room appeared clean. Room was quiet. AC was nice and cold! Appears that repairs were being done on wall and in bath tub but were not repainted.

This place is disgusting. The pictures are deceiving, the smell is overwhelming and the furniture looks like they bought it from a halfway house. As soon as I saw the room, I left and checked in somewhere else.

Pillows and bed were amazing. There is free beer in the lobby in the evening. The only thing missing was a coffee pot in the room which was not a big deal for me, but might be for others. Breakfast was good with real scrambled eggs two ways. Property is older but under renovation. The owner has many family woking for him and is very involved. This is the second time I stayed here and I will definitely stay again.

This hotel is shocking and the manager was extremely rude and unhelpful. The AC was sporadic and when it worked it was like a helicopter taking off. The electrical sockets in the room were either not working or unsafe and sparking and as for the WiFi let’s say we had better reception in the 00’s! The house keeping staff and breakfast team were excellent but this hotel stay was awful and that is being mild.

Just needed a room to sleep. The king bed was rather hard and kinda noisy with the base so if you like that then that'd be great for you. We didn't like how loud the air conditioning was when it turned on and off it was noisier than average. More accessible plugins are needed in the future but I just unplugged the microwave to charge my phone The shower had great water pressure with a not slippery tub. I had forgotten there was not an elevator before checking in but we could manage one flight of stair one trip up and down. Breakfast was awesome and the first time I had ever seen sliced cheese offered for using on whatever you like. Hash brown patties and mini waffles are available behind the omelette station but I didn't ask for anything from there. Not too bad of a place for a reasonable price but a hot tub would be nice bonus like it had many years ago.

Absolutely no hot water. The bed was completely uncomfortable. Extremely noisy, both in the hall and coming from outside. There was also so much light flooding in from parking lot and hallway. I asked for a call back at 6 am when I went to check out. I did not receive a call. I called when ibgot oof of work. They had no ideaor info about the issues i wanted to discuss.

Booked a room at the last minute that was close to The Cotton Patch restaurant in Abilene & this place had decent reviews. The mystery stain on the wall under the sink was disturbing & the floor had obviously not been thoroughly cleaned but my shoes stay on & we were only staying one night. Parking lot was taken up by big work trucks hogging three spots by parking sideways. Bed was comfy & linens passed the smell test.

It was fine for the price and 1 night stay. Definitely in need of updating. It was about what I expected at this price point and after reading reviews. My chief complaint was the window air conditioner is very loud when it comes on and there is no way to keep it on all the time so when you’re sleeping, it comes on really loud and then when it goes off it’s silent and then it comes on really loud and goes off silent. It makes it really hard to sleep if you’re sensitive to noise like I am. Also, even though I had it turned down to 60 the room was not as cool as I like to sleep probably more like 72 and a tad humid. Not terrible but not ideal. If not for that, we would stay there again when we return in a few weeks, but we will probably opt for a different hotel because of the air conditioning noise. Otherwise it was comfortable and fine.

Large room with microwave, fridge, and a sofa sleeper. King bed was comfortable. Large screen TV. The AC was on and the room was cool when we arrived—a great thing since it was 108 outside. Staff was friendly and efficient, especially the breakfast cook. He was very helpful and prepared a special meal to eliminate the allergens. Many thanks for that.

I have stayed here multiple times and every time has been exceptional. The hotel is clean and well maintained, the rooms are also clean and well maintained. The manager/Owner and his staff are always friendly and helpful. The price is more than fair for this type of quality hotel. I recommend all my friends that are traveling to Abilene to this hotel.

We only stayed over night but the manager was so nice and I could tell he was proud of this hotel. He was so friendly and the morning staff too. Room was big and spacious. I would give this hotel a 5 star.

I didn’t really know what to expect but I enjoyed my stay; staff were all helpful and polite. The little practical notes (Please Clean Off Your Boots & Shoes) made me think somebody’s Grandma was in charge! I learned that this used to be a Ramada Inn and it now has new carpeting and paint throughout, great A/C, nice TV and new beds. Would stay here again. 8/29/2025

The hotel staff was very cordial and accommodating to what we needed. Took a pet with me. Everything was great. Breakfast was wonderful. Lots of food and clean and tasty. Will stay there again.

The hotel staff was very cordial and accommodating to what we needed. Took a pet with me. Everything was great. Breakfast was wonderful. Lots of food and clean and tasty. Will stay there again.

We only stayed 1 night while traveling thru. Had a clean room. It was very good since we had a small older pet. Did have to put up a $100 cash pet deposit plus the $25 pet deposit on the card. Did get the cash deposit back upon check out since my pet did no damages to the room. Staff was very nice. Breakfast was very good and the gentleman working the breakfast was very courteous and kept area clean. Could tell the owner of this hotel is making newer updates. Had a small mall close by of walking distance and Cheddar's restraunt next door which had very good food and small bar for drinks.

I'd rate this hotel as 2.5 star for now. Positive: Convenience to the mall, restaurants and everything around, bed and pillows(plenty of them)are soft and comfortable. The breakfast had quiet a collection of hot and cold, plenty of space. However, when husband and I got the biscuit, it was old and stale. It is a very old and run down hotel. But it looks like the new owner is trying to renovate one space at a time. The outside still looks rundown and over painted. The lobby has a musty smell, but good that they changed the carpet all the way to the rooms. The ceiling is very low and it's moldy some has holes and needed overhaul. The bathroom tiles and the whole bathroom needs a major overhaul with a better shower head.

We had to stay in town for the night for a Saturday wedding. The location was obviously newly renovated, and was clean and quiet. Breakfast had many offerings and was well appointed. The hotel is also close to a variety of restaurants and shopping. Overall a quiet and clean hotel that I would patronize again if the need arose.

On the outside, the property is run down, but on the inside it’s very clean, comfortable and the staff is incredible! Cheddars restaurant is right next door and tons of dining options are right down the street. The breakfast is wonderful and the omelets they make are first class and made to order. All the amenities that you could want are here and more. Don’t let the outside fool you, the inside and the staff will definitely win you over. There was seven of us that stayed here for two nights and we are already planning on returning! Please give this place a try… you won’t be disappointed by the price or the comforts.

The outside of the property is dated and caused concern when we first arrived, but the room was clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was close to several dining options and shopping. The hot breakfast included the next morning was wonderful. Scrambled eggs, meat, biscuits & gravy, omelettes, etc..

For the most it was pleasant and went well. Our only issue was the first morning for breakfast and the attendant, Harry, was really rude and should not be interacting with guest. My son was disappointed that the game room is being remodeled and not open and my husband was disappointed that omelets are no longer offered. Only photo I got this time was our pool view.

This is an older, but very well maintained hotel. Place is very clean and comfortable. The water pressure in the shower is wonderful and they offer a cooked to order breakfast. They even have 24 hours Starbucks coffee, hot chocolate and chai latte available in the lobby. We were pleasantly surprised at this gem. It is also very budget friendly. Will definitely be back next time we go through Abilene.

This is an older redecorated property. Everything was extremely clean and the decor was beautiful. They had free beer in the lobby for the evening with a jukebox. The breakfast was wonderful. They had scrambled eggs three was, sausage, bacon, biscuits, gravy, tortillas on request, waffles, and oatmeal as well as two cold cereals, bottled water and 4 breakfast drink choices. The bed was extremely comfortable and the pillows were amazing. The only bad side was the bathroom fixtures were not replaced so there were scratches, etc in tub and sink but they were clean.

Was a great place to stay and the breakfast was a great breakfast included in the stay. Not a small breakfast either. They go all out with eggs, bacon, Taters, sausage, gravy, biscuits and you can even make your own pancakes plus there is a coffee bar. Nice simple place to stay not overly extravagant but has everything you need for rest and comfort. Has microwave and fridge in rooms. Comfy beds and ac works just fine for the humid time we went. Thank you for your accomodations and reasonable price!!! Blessings!!!

The room was very clean. I noticed no buildup even in the corners like you see in other hotels. Amanda at front desk was amazing with information and just kindness! The pool was very clean and has a covered patio with fans/tables/chairs just outside the pool fence. There are very clean chaise lounges and mini tables surrounding the pool. Comfortable and there is a nice shade starting around 5pm that gradually shades the pool. We spent three hours in the pool. Vernon makes a beautiful breakfast every morning. It includes: cereal, bagels, muffins, waffles, fresh fruit, scrambled eggs plain, scrambled with cheese, beans, breakfast potatoes, bacon, sausage gravy, biscuits, 4 kinds of juice, coffee, teas, and great conversation. This was our first time in Abilene, but we will definitely stay at The Whitten Inn. The super big plus is this is a family owned motel. I would much rather give my money to a family than a big corporation!!! See you again! The Beyer Family

Toilet was clogged while checking in. There was no one to address. I was handed over a plunger to go and fix it myself. I am like really? I will pay for the stay and then have to fix it myself. As per the front desk, there was no one to help other than herself. Breakfast time also ends by 8:30am, I checked in at 11:30 pm after driving 10 hrs so didn’t have the courage to wake up at 6 to attend
