Americas Best Value Inn Richmond VA Midlothian Turnpike

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. There were several questionable characters hanging outside the hotel. 3pm in the afternoon the staff was not at the front (who sit behind bulletproof glass). The property was completely unkept. There is absolutely no amenities and no breakfast offered as advertised. The room was a smoke free room, but when you walked in the odor of smoke and mold was embedded in the room. The furniture was stained and torn. The fridge was dirty and smelled. I didn’t even get to the bathroom before turning around. I went to the front desk and just started to explain the smoke odor and before I finished my sentence the employee rudely offered me a refund as if they already knew the hotel was not suitable for children. It was so infuriating because we ended up paying $400 for a last minute hotel, parking and breakfast some place else. We spent at least an hour looking. This is a rare experience with hotels.com, but one that I won’t forget.

Let's start with the customer service. There was a young lady staff (foreigner), that was there this morning. She has a very nasty attitude for no reason. For nothing she said either wait for the room to get cleaned or cancel your reservation. She does not need to work anywhere dealing with customer service. Especially with that hotel being in the condition that it's in. The covers and sheets are dingy with holes from cigarette burns and whatever else in them, The bathroom was clean. They had a jacuzzi tube in the room, but it did not work. It was nice for the price of it, but if you ask me, I would have been scared to lay down in there. However, I was renting it for one night for someone that really needed a place to shower and rest for a while. I would never rent a room out here again.

Bedroom was dirty and the bathroom and the walls were dirty the carpet was dirty it had stains on the sheets I asked the lady for a clean sheet she cursed me out and told me to get out my room very disrespectful

Very, very bad place very rude staff. If you want get sick, I recommend you to stay in this place very dirty.

It was a shabby shack with sketchy people inside and out.
