Dead bolt didn't lock without lifting up on the door with great force... same with the latch. TV did not work. Toilet rocked from side to side. Bathtub had a large patch in the bottom. Smoke alarm has a plastic bag over it... obviously not a non-smoking room. Back entry door never closed all the way. Ice machine was broken. Breakfast consisted of mini muffins. No coffee..... Ice machine was broken

The location wa a disappointment. Its obvious the location hasnt had a refresh in a long time. The good: The price was cheap They had smoking rooms I felt relitively secure The sheets and overall room were clean. The bad: you get what you pay for. The hotel advertises breakfast but it was not avIlable. It appears the 3rd floor are smoking rooms but i smelled " hemp" being smoked around the lobby as well as the 3rd floor. The bath tub and sink showed signs of cigarette burns and it appeared they hadnt painted in a few years since it would get covered in nicotine. The location isnt in a "bad" part of town or anything but i noticed some sketchy traffic in the parking lot as well as sketchy guests. I was traveling alone but would never bring a spouse or kids to the location. There was constant noise outside but no gun shots. Its clear the room needs renovation. The trim for the spinkler as well as the lamp bases had rust on them. The lamps, tv, remote, and fridge all worked but the matress was uncomfortable and there were only 2 pillows on a queen size bed. I had to shove my door open and it stuck in place about half way. I had to force the bar lock on. There was only an ice machine on the first floor and the vinding machines were broken. You could buy drinks and water at the office. The sinage all had graffiti on them and the painting in my room had a sea moster drawn in the river of the city scape. Overall its obvious the hotel is past its prim and needs renovation.

Room was horrible, itchy sheets side doors didn’t lock no door latch didn’t ask for a new room because based on the lobby I figured it would not be better

Door is not on properly so the room does not lock. Staff is friendly, but knew of the door situation already and not fixed. Very limited food option and unsecured internet connection.

Poorly maintained - torn window screens etc.

The property was quiet and not scuzzy but the door to my room didn't lock, there was no remote for the TV and the bathtub was filthy but at least there were no bed bugs. Cheap and not awful but simple maintenance could have made it a better stay.

Hallways were dark

Checkin went pretty smoothly, however the examinatin of the room was wanting. The bathroom tub look marred, the shower head was rusted (or looked rusted) there was ceiling material over the tub hanging down. After spending a night we returned to the room the next day to the bathroom ceiling leaking. The front desk responded promptly and nice, gave us another room. That room's bathroom was much better. However he AC unit was coming off the wall and was visibly taped but still hanging as if it might fall at any moment. It was working and worked find through the rest of our stay! I wonder why they even gave us that first room with such bad bathroom amenities. Oh, the hairdryer was also old and rusted. I have pics and would have uploaded them if Expedia had provided a way!

Elevator out of order, vending machine out of order, cable tv in my room didn’t work, internet connection labeled as”not to be trusted “, clerk could not direct me to a restaurant

The air conditioning in the main part of the hotel was not working so it caused the room floors to be slippery from condensation. There were hairs in the the sink and bath tub and black mold on the walls and ceiling in the bathroom. One of the towels had a brown stain on it. When I went to the front desk to see if he had another room the gentleman was very hospitable and found one for me. When I moved to the new room the desk lamp did not work so I changed it with the one from the first room. The room floor was in the same condition, but had not been swept. There were hairs in the bathroom again. The toilet in the first room was not even secured to the floor. I went back to the front desk and told him that I could not stay there and was going to check out. When I reported this situation to Expedia the costumer service agent reached out to the hotel and was told by the hotel employee that he could not refund my charges.

There was mold on the shower curtain. The room was damp, like a basement. The bedding had what looked like cigarette burn holes. There was a hole in the wall near the bed boards. the A/C unit had dust and mold covering the vents. Breakfast was 6 or so tiny muffins.

Had bed bugs

The bed mattress had a slump in it. The room floors were so dirty that my new white socks were black on the bottom from walking in the room. According to the internet there was supposed to be a breakfast and it was only 4 mini muffins

Woke up to being bitten by BEDBUGS!! I asked the guy about getting my room switched this SOB told me “ it’s nothing he can do! Then 10 minutes later he comes up to the room & proceeds to tell me the same thing. Talking about MAD!!! I gathered my things, straight to the laundromat. Strongly DO NOT SUGGEST!!!! I’m NEVER GOING Back

This was filthy, looked like something from a scary movie!! Dirt on floors/ bathroom disgusting !! Stains all over bedspreads. Gross

Wasnt expecting much for the price, and the previous reviews warned of the condition of this place, but i was short on cash and need to change my hotel to save money. The reviews definitely werent lying, the only thing i didnt see was mold, but i saw cockroaches, dirty and dust layers over some surfaces, stains on the walls and mattress, there was dirt in between the bed sheets. The bathroom was visibly cleaner but the sink didnt drain well causing it to fill up if you run it for longer than 15 seconds. The bathtub/shower was stained and honestly i waant sure to trust it so i ended up showering at planet fitness. There was garbage left behind in some of the drawers, the window blinds were half broken. I regret not taking pictures but i dont normally leave reviews. Overall i would not recommended staying at this location id look elsewhere next time i need to visit richmond.

The hotel room had clearly not been cleaned. The window was open, probably to get the smoke smell out of the room. The floor throughout the whole hotel room was sticky, there were hairs on the toilet and all of the towels, the bathroom door would not lock, there was paper stuffed into the peep hole on the door. The entire hotel smelled like cigarette smoke, including the elevator, and the only reason I spent the night in the room was because every other hotel in the city was booked due to a convention.

Air conditioning was broken. Room was dirty. Towels had hair from other guests on them. Area felt unsafe.

If I could give no stars, I would. I knew the moment I walked into the lobby, there was something wrong. It smelled like a sewer. It was so hard to breath in there. I put my bag on a table and I went over to the desk to tell the woman that I wanted to cancel my reservation. The reservation that had just made less than 4 hours ago. She informed me that because I booked through Expedia, I had to take it up with them. There was absolutely nothing she could do. I had been driving 12+ hours and could barely keep my eyes open so my friend and I decide to just get to the room. We walked in and it didn't smell much better than the lobby. I took the coverlet off the bed and to put on the desk. I wanted to throw up! The blanket underneath had fresh stains all over it. I pulled the blanket down to see if the sheets were clean. Not only did they look dirty, they were urine and blood stained. You could smell the urine. We immediately picked up our things, went to the desk to inform the woman working of the issues and told her that there was no way I would be staying in that hotel.

The bathroom was dirty, bathtub had pubic hairs and tub was dirty. Bathroom fauct was also dirty. Roach on wall. Disappointing 😞

Okay first off the entire bathroom needs to be updated. The hair dryer I don't literally hold the plug into the outlet so that I could dry my hair because otherwise it would not work. Which by the way the hair dryers are basically from the '70s. The chair in our room look like something that came from the dump. The noise was terrible I could hear the people above us and around us. I think there should be a lights out time there so that all tenants know that it's time to go to bed. Woke up at 6:00 the last morning and I noise everywhere and I'm wondering if people even went to bed. Beds were clean and comfortable. Hotel needs to be updated internally and externally.

Place to sleep. Not much else to say. Handle on bathtub broken off Door handle on inside of room was loose. Curtain was broken and hanging off side. But bed was comfortable and place was quiet so sleep well

AC didn't work properly

The bed was very comfortable, but there was no actual cover. It was only a sheet, a blanket thin enough I would call a sheet, and a decorative thin bed cover. The hard floor was sticky to the point we did not feel comfortable walking without shoes or socks on. The tub is so degraded and the curtain stained that my daughter was not comfortable using it. The breakfast consisted of apple juice or one other juice, coffee, and about 10 mini muffins. The hallway and lobby smelled terrible. The room didn’t smell bad (until we turned on the AC unit). The parking lot is well lit and the motel wasn’t hard to find, but looks very run down compared to the pictures. Overall, I would not recommend staying here, and I would def think twice before choosing this option and do not consider this hotel because “breakfast” is offered and cost efficiency.

The room has only two lamps. So at night one side is totally dark. There are only two pillows on the bed. There is no closet or dresser just two small drawers to put our clothes an ancient miniscule and an ancient lilliputian sized microwave that didn't work much of the time. What in the name of Heaven are people paying for. The staff admitted the microwave is old. You need to unplug it and plug it in again. Like Betty Davis said What A Dump. It should be closed down

AC not working properly

Not cleaned well. Mattress was so sagged it was uncomfortable and air conditioner was unbearably loud every time it ran ( All night) staff tried to be helpful

It is rundown, did not feel safe after dark. Hallways were noisy at night. Breakfast was a joke! Bed was very lumpy and the head of bed was much lower than the foot of bed!

They advertised breakfast but there wasnt any. Beds were not comfortable at all.

The check in process took about 15min. The room was old, dirty bathroom, and had a smell about it. We went down for breakfast at 6:10 and no breakfast was out. There was coffee but no creamer. There was no one at the front desk. After 5min a lady came out with a giant attitude. I asked politely if breakfast was going to be put out and she snapped that she was working on it. By now it was 6:15. We just left.

Stay was smooth as usual with only one bump. My fridge in the room didn't work and took them 2 days to get a replacement. Tina at the front desk was fantastic as usual. Fantastic customer service. Will be coming back for most of my travel nurse contract.

One of the worst stays I've experienced. When we checked into the room A) The toilet seat was broken B ) The sink faucet was broken and I could actually lift it out of it's place C) There was graffiti on the paintings D) The door wouldn't lock So we asked to change rooms and it wasn't much better. The sheets on both beds were dirty and there was hair in the beds. I asked for a new bedsheet and the one I got was stained. The shower curtain was mildewy. The late night desk attendant was very indifferent and didn't care so we checked out after staying 45 minutes and went to a different hotel.

In town for the Richmond Race. Stayed 2 nights. The staff was excellent! Room was clean but the hotel seriously needed updating. However, it was comfortable and served our purpose. Would definitely stay there again. I can’t say enough about the friendliness of the staff!

Basic hotel, no frills. But it was clean and quiet. Staff was welcoming and efficient on check in.

We did not stay because it was not safe to do so. We left and had to book a different hotel. This hotel is dirty with broken windows and garbage in the parking lot. I would like a refund

I liked that it was right off the highway. This isn’t the downtown Marriott but it is good to be a little outside the city for your stay.

It is simply so unclean property. Breakfast was included in the price. But the quality of food was horrible. Juice machine was broken. They should really take out the free-breakfast item from the list. It is a joke.

Where was breakfast? Nowhere!

Small, not very clean, bed was unsupportive, there were some bugs, condition of the room was mediocre at best, refrigerator was plugged in to an outlet that also had a light plugged into it and the outlet was controlled by a wall switch so whenever we turned off the light the fridge lost power and all our food went bad, elevator had a mind of it's own, tobacco and pot and bug spray smells in the hallways and stairwells, breakfast was just OJ and AJ and coffee and a few prepackaged muffins.

The bathroom was in rough shape. Peeled paint, and the shower / tub needs to be redone. The coffee maker had not been cleaned. The room was clearly not non smoking as requested (cover up spray used). The chair (loose foot pad) and bed were comfortable. Room 111 for reference. The “breakfast item” was mini muffins. The coffee in the room and at check in was fine.

Very old hotel needs more upgrades, breakfast was only little muffins and coffee. The coffee was good with only powdered creamer.

You get what you pay for , hot water issues, ac leaked , no room service or towels after first night had to ask desk . Tonya was very helpful that is the only positive I can say .. what breakfast? The location is good. Customer service is good. The breakfast is very poor. All they had for breakfast was just coffee and tea and 4 ounce of juice pack, and very very small cold muffin. The bathroom needs to be updated because it has a very old deteriated condition. Way to go
