Blackbrae Cabin

We had the most amazing stay at this cosy, comfortable cabin surrounded by greenery. It was like living in a tree house. The birdsong was beautiful as were the sunsets and views of the night sky. The cabin was spacious enough for two and had everything we needed for our week long stay, including parking. There is a log fire with plenty of wood for cold days but we were very lucky with the weather and had warm sunshine every day which made the cabin warm and cosy to come back to after days out. Plenty of utensils and cooking implements for two. There is a large decked area in front of the folding doors which gets the sun all day and is great for a night time drink as you listen to the sounds of nature. Hans is a great host with lots of local knowledge and suggestions for places to visit and is always making sure you have everything you need. This cabin is the middle of nowhere but at the centre of everything. Short drive to shops and motorway connections. We will be back!

Pleasantly surprising separate guest quarters outside of Glasgow. Enjoyed the rural setting. Hans was very accommodating and the setting for the room/patio was beautiful. Wish we could have stayed more than two nights.
