Check in was etraordinarily good. The staff was extremely friendly, giving us cold bottled water that he offered. With the fan on in the room, we did not hear the train just across the highway unless we were already awake. The bed was very comfortable and had very nice bedding. The parking lot was small, but there was additional parking in an adjacent lot.

No frills, but a good place to lay down for a few hours. Fridge and microwave. There is no coffee maker. If you are a coffee drinker, make plans around that. It is dog friendly. My large pitbull was able to use a field behind and to the side. Price is right.

This little motel was the perfect stop on our trip! The owner is the nicest gentleman, and he was very accommodating. We got a pet friendly room, with ample space. This is a classic Route 66 hotel, not the Holiday Inn! A classic motel with modern features (roku tv and super nice beds)! The best part? A movie was filmed here! How cool.

Nice clean, comfortable room. Looks to be recently refurbished. Nothing fancy at all, so don't come looking for frills. But a very good stay, especially for the price. The owner, I believe his name is David, was very helpful and accommodating. The only caveat I would give is that outlets were very scarce in my room. I was fine, but if you have multiple electronic devices that would need simultaneous charging, perhaps bring a three outlet adapter.

Gorgeous view of the mountain and surrounding area! A very nice find on Route 66 - great management and the staff is awesome! Room is very clean and looks newly renovated. Fridge and microwave make staying easy and comfortable! Highly Recommended for anyone looking for a place to stay on Route 66!

Everything was simply wonderful — from the friendly front desk staff to the cozy comfort of my room. The space was spotless and well-maintained, and the bed was honestly one of the most comfortable I've ever slept on! Having a mini-fridge and microwave in the room made things so convenient and added a thoughtful touch to my stay. I couldn’t be happier with my experience!

The room smelled fresh and clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. One problem was that they were platform beds and the mattresses did not fully cover them so the corners stuck out further than the end of the mattresses and was a shin killer. There is a train track just across the street so it was noisy all night.

Staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The building is dated, but the bed and the recliner and the desk chair were all new, and everything was very clean. My only complaint is that there were not enough outlets for all of my electronics.

Rooms were clean and didn’t smell bad, like you sometimes get with older motels. Beds weren’t super comfortable but weren’t awful either. It’s an older building in an older town so don’t go in with high expectations. I will definitely stay here again if needed. Price was spot on. My only complaint is that the train across the street runs quite often, all night.

The staff were incredibly friendly, and the view from the window was fantastic! The single bed room with a recliner was clean and spacious. Had a great sleep thanks to the super comfy, fluffy blanket and the amazing mattress. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Exactly what we were looking for for a nights sleep mid road trip. Clean, simple, comfortable room and good service. The man at check in was very friendly and helpful (even offered to help carry luggage because I was so tired looking and we were on the top floor). Room was clean with newer amenities (fridge, desk, etc). Rain shower head was a nice bonus. Bed was comfy. Blanket is a little thin so don’t be dumb like us and forget to turn the heater on this time of year when temps drop below freezing (once we turned on the heater it warmed right up). All in all a good experience for the price, couldn’t have asked for more. Traveler tip if you haven’t stayed in Grants before- the train and highway run past every establishment in town so bring your earplugs.

The guy at the reception was friendly and very helpful in providing information on restaurants and nearby attractions. We were on our way back to Texas and it is a perfect no frill pit stop. The building itself is old but the room is very clean. The motel is located near the train track so if you are a light sleeper this place might not be for you. This is a hidden jem!!! I was very impressed, great value at a low price. Highly recommend. Extremely clean room, as a single female traveler I felt very safe. The gentleman at the front desk was very polite and friendly.

I had a fantastic stay at this charming and cozy motel. The room was very clean, and everything felt fresh and well-maintained. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. One of the best parts was the location. It's right next to a buffet restaurant and within easy walking distance of our favorite Mexican restaurant, so grabbing dinner or breakfast was super convenient. The atmosphere around the motel was quiet and peaceful, perfect for relaxing after a long day. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I’d definitely stay here again!

I had such a lovely stay at this beautiful property, nestled against a wonderful mountain backdrop. The room was very clean and smelled wonderfully fresh, and the bed was comfortable, just perfect for a restful night. As a solo traveler, I felt completely safe and at ease throughout my stay. The entire property is in excellent condition, and the staff couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful.

The room was very clean and smelled wonderfully fresh, and the bed was comfortable, just perfect for a restful night. As a solo traveler, I felt completely safe and at ease throughout my stay. The entire property is in excellent condition, and the staff couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful.

Exactly what we were looking for for a nights sleep mid road trip. Clean, simple, comfortable room and good service. The man at check in was very friendly and helpful (even offered to help carry luggage because I was so tired looking and we were on the top floor). Room was clean with newer amenities (fridge, desk, etc). Rain shower head was a nice bonus. Bed was comfy. Blanket is a little thin so don’t be dumb like us and forget to turn the heater on this time of year when temps drop below freezing (once we turned on the heater it warmed right up). All in all a good experience for the price, couldn’t have asked for more. Traveler tip if you haven’t stayed in Grants before- the train and highway run past every establishment in town so bring your earplugs.

Gorgeous view of the mountain and surrounding area! A very nice find on Route 66 - great management and the staff is awesome! Room is very clean and looks newly renovated. Fridge and microwave make staying easy and comfortable! Highly Recommended for anyone looking for a place to stay on Route 66!

Very clean. Room freshly renovated. But very near train tracks, and trash pickup was at 430am so .. all in all a bargain for a quick overnight, but the trains take away a peaceful night sleep

Great mountain views right outside! The atmosphere was very quiet and peaceful. This newly renovated gem on Route 66 made us feel instantly at home. Everything from the bed and TV to the appliances and linens seemed brand new. We had such a restful stay, and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy, comfortable getaway.

I had a fantastic stay at this charming and cozy motel. The room was very clean, and everything felt fresh and well-maintained. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. One of the best parts was the location. It's right next to a buffet restaurant and within easy walking distance of our favorite Mexican restaurant, so grabbing dinner or breakfast was super convenient. The atmosphere around the motel was quiet and peaceful, perfect for relaxing after a long day. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I’d definitely stay here again!

You can tell the owner is working on fixing it up. New fixtures and such. The room was clean (other than the grapes in the fridge that someone had left). The next morning the sewage was backed up into the shower, which we got the impression the owner had thought it might. He did let us use the shower in another room. I will say, it was better than a room at Mexican hat we paid 3x the amount for.

This is an older property but rooms were updated. The shower in our unit was small (no tub) but the water pressure was great. Check in was easy and we didn’t see any other staff after that. No coffee in the room but there was a mini fridge and microwave. Very reasonably priced. I would stay again.

Good: The room was very clean. The furniture looked new. The front desk person seemed nice. Bad: The bed was extremely soft and I kept rolling into the center. The microwave didn’t work. I used toilet paper as tissues. Overall: this is OK for a budget motel, but if you have back problems, you should look for a place with better beds
