Very good: Very close to Newark airport. Very good: Free shuttle service to airport. Very good: Friendly personnel Very good: Open even at very late hours, and very early in the morning. Medium: the shuttle makes roundtrips. So sometimes one seems to have to wait for 15 - 20 minutes till the shuttle arrives. Medium: very limited dining.

Property is economical (though price up 50% on last year). Less than a mile from NJ Transit - easy walk. Free shuttle to airport 24/7. But room was poor - chest of drawers falling apart and bare screws in closet where coat rail was attached. Top of faucet was stickly. Bed very nice.

The guy working the front desk was rude and didn’t want to deal with my issues, my room was rundown/dirty, location is not convenient. Have to take an Uber everywhere as the bus takes 1-2 hours. The poor reviews on Google are very accurate. The shuttle service is not from the Motel 6 as advertised but the neighbouring parking business. I waited over an hour for the shuttle as they told me it would be a Motel 6 logo on the side of a white van which was incorrect. I don’t recommend this motel to anyone. NOT AS ADVERTISED!

The shuttle from the airport was kind of scary. The driver was talking on his phone, honking his horn at other drivers and seemed very unhappy. He did his speak very good English, so it was hard to understand him, and he seemed to get frustrated by that. At check-in, the man said I ordered a smoking room, which is not true. I don’t smoke and don’t like the smell of smoke, but then he said that’s all he had. I asked for a room close to the front and he also said there was nothing but way in the dark back of the hotel, the area was very sketchy with people in the parking lot and very dark parking lot. The shuttle back to the hotel was better but not great. The room was very minimal and dingy, as far as furnishings. It did not seem very clean, but the bed was OK. I would not stay here again and would spend a little bit more money on something a lot better.

The motel is tired on a noisy road, air conditioning unit was difficult to use, loud, with most of the controls not working. The parking lot is used for long term or neighbor parking so it was active and contributed to the noise both in sound and light. The front desk was quick, efficient, and polite. There is nothing in walking distance, but there are restaurants that deliver. Thoroughly unimpressed - you get what you pay for.

It's close to Newark International Airport, and there's an airport shuttle. The only benefits. The TV screen had a big crack in it that was accentuated by the grainy reception. It was a non smoking room that had the stench of stale cigarettes. There were no bath towels. There was a washcloth and what looked like a tea towel with an ink stain The front desk guy couldn't be bothered to get off his phone call whilst checking me in, and couldn't be bothered to explain anything about the hotel Overall, yuck. Pay more and stay at the Crown Plaza directly behind this awful hotel

No real complaints. Only real problem seemed to be parking, but even then… that didn’t seemed to be a big deal.

The guys at the front desk are awesome! Very friendly! The room is small but was clean & served its purpose. There were no roaches, hair in the bathtub or mold. The remote to the tv was broken. The property is in horrible condition. There was no parking spots. Everyone was double parked & blocking one another. The major issue I see at motel 6 is how many people live there & they don’t care about keeping the property looking nice. It was well lite outside at night. I didn’t hear any of my neighbors through the walls. There was no place for a dog to go potty.

Cancelled flight at Newark. Needed a room for overnight. Easy to make reservation, quick shuttle, rapid check in, restful and clean room, effortless check out and return. Recommend.

This property was dirty and needed repairs. There were roaches and ants in the bathroom. This property is in a bad part of the city.

My stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. I had reserved the room for two nights, but the conditions were so bad that on the second night I was forced to sleep in my car instead of staying in that space. The place was very dirty and had a strong unpleasant smell. The towels were not clean, and the bed sheets were full of holes. The toilet was clogged, and even after asking for a plunger, no assistance was provided. The room phone did not work, and there was no parking available. Overall, the experience was horrible and far below any acceptable standard. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Getting checked in and the people at the desk were the only good things about this place. There was a giant blood stain on the mattress when we went to take the covers off so they’d be changed. Before we checked in I jokingly stop watched a maid clean a room 1.18 and she went to the next and did the same. Parking was a horrible time at night, especially when the whole place wasn’t even completely occupied (they left the curtains drawn a certain way for unoccupied rooms). If you don’t mind something similar to a trap house, then this is your place.

Mice in walls and ceiling, cockroaches running around in the room, older rooms have bare minimum. Overall stay was fine just for one night and the price. Don’t expect 5 star amenities. Would only recommend if you don’t want to spend much money and just need to sleep

Terrible yips should not advertise this hotel never . The room are discussing. Everything really dirty . I didn’t took out my clothes to sleep, not even took shower and left early morning

It was horrible. We found a RAT running around in our room.

Our room was clearly not cleaned in awhile. Sheets were dirty, there was crud on the floors and walls. The toilet wasn’t attached to the floor, was leaking from the bottom, and smelled like sewer. We all needed showers but opted against it because the shower looked gross, too. We’re no strangers to a budget friendly crash pad of a hotel, but this was on another level. Hopefully the other rooms are in better shape.

It’s a motel 6 so don’t expect much. The room was a small room with a small narrow bathroom. The room was cool the bathroom was just ok. This should be a 40-50$ a night motel not 100 or more

Very noisy all night. Needed to have the fan on high just to drown out the outside partying and load music.

Heat and WiFi was not working. Staff name Patel was very rude when asked for airport shuttle. Gave no information and did not pick up the phone for an hour. Got to Motel and no one was at the front counter to check in guest. In the room, Exposed outlets which was a hazardous. Room was a good size but very noisy outside. Would not recommend this Motel to anyone sorry

Very poorly designed room ,too small, air conditioner at face level next to the bed, bathroom poorly designed as well . Absolutely no room to even turn around especially with the door closed....toilet is maybe 4-5 inches from the door itself. We will NOT be staying at this location ever again.

Do not stay here. When we landed in Newark Airport, we called to get information on the airport shuttle, but the information on the automated message was wrong. When we finally got in touch with the front desk, everyone we talked to was unhelpful, and did not give us accurate information. When we got to our room, it was clear that it had not been cleaned. There was trash under the bed, and balls of hair on the floor. The bathroom shower was so unclean I refused to shower in it. There was a massive cockroach in the room. The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. People played loud music for hours outside, and someone kept slipping paper in through our door. I would never stay here again.

I was driving so didn't need the airport shuttle. The check-in process was simple. The rooms are okay but the bathrooms are extremely tight in space and difficult to squeeze by. The heating and airconditioning unit was right next to the bed and were extremely noisy so didn't get a comfortable night's sleep. During checkout no printed receipt was provided as printer was out of order. Did not receive an emailed receipt despite having requested one. Overall, I wouldn't probably stay at this hotel again.

Not all of the lights worked. No heater or blankets in the room. Door did not seal and room had a cold draught Bedspread had cigarette burn holes in it. The toilet ran continuously. There were stains all around the room, including the ceiling!

The property is very old and in an alley way. Tons of cars all over and people playing loud music late at night. The room was not clean and had cracks and broken tiles on the floor. I was afraid to stand in the shower with no shoes. The air conditioner buttons were all broken, I needed to uses something to poke in there to control it. Terrible!!! Will not stay there again.

There was a gap in the door jam open to the outside. The TV was removed from the wall and placed on the table. The shower had only a trickle coming out and was almost impossible to regulate temperature.

The AC hang in the wall just next to the bed was very noise and it was so difficult to get sleep. The room was not that clean and also it looks very old. The guy in the front desk was focus in a conversation with a friend and he was not attentive with the guests at all. Overall, the location is convenient for overnight stay but the service is not good at all, I would not recommend this place.

Staff was rude and hang up the phone on us when we tried to figure how to find the shuttle service to the hotel

Honestly the front desk employee was one of the rudest people I have ever met. He yelled to "Stop asking so many questions!!!" when I was asking how and where to catch the airport shuttle. Another hotel guest was yelled at rudely for asking where the shuttle stopped.

they were very helpful getting me from the airport to the hotel both when I arrived and also when I went to New York City and came back, I got a ride back as well, saved me a $27 taxi ride though only 1-2 miles from the airport. Great location, nice staff, and good price, what else is there to discuss. Want more? Pay $250 at a Marriott - lol.

Nick at front desk was good at his job. The other people at the front desk should never be permitted to work in customer service EVER. Very rude and unfriendly. The shuttle service would leave you stranded.

The staff was really friendly and helpful. The motel was not in a great condition. The AC made very loud noises, and the shower was not working. And we did not even get the hot water. Also, there was tv but no tv remote. Overall, services were good.

It’s convient just a little out of date other then that it’s okay .

Close to airport. Some nearby dining options. Rough neighborhood. Beds clean and comfortable, great shower but overall very run down facility. A/C unit falling off the wall, big gap between front door and frame. Constant flies coming in from somewhere. Signs all over warning about checking ID and human trafficking in the area. Ok for a quick cheap stay but not recommended for a family stay.

Dangerous, sketchy, unkept, horrible rooms, be careful. Overall a very unpleasant stay during our layover $150 is far too high for such a place. The only convenience is location is minutes from the airport.

Super expensive price for a very shady hotel. Front counter guy was polite, but it is definitely an unsafe environment. Please do not ever bring your kids to this hotel.

Very bad. 1. I booked this as it said it has a shuttle service for pick up from the airport. On arrival kept calling and no one picks the phone. We called an uber and reached. 2. Bad mattress and not good room very shabby and tv hanging tilted on the wall. 3. I was told there will be coffee in the reception area in the morning, I reached there to get us coffee but the receptionist was so busy talking over the phone. I stood there 10 min in the cold as no heat is working but he did not want to get off the phone. Bad service. We left and walked to Dunkin to get our coffees. Terrible and shabby place to stay.

Staff was very friendly, area was well lit. Rooms had cobwebs in corners, marks on the walls, it’s def smelled like smoke and at first glance was dirty. The beds seemed cleaned but we did sleep with all our clothes on. Vending machine broken so was thirsty all night. The airport shuttle was so clutch, and again staff was very friendly.!

Vending machine "refused" my credit card but charged my account anyway, without delivering product. As a result, my bank detected fraud and blocked my card. Room furnishings damaged. Severe, unrepaired water damage to woodwork. Toilet seat broken. No towel bars -- seriously? How hard is it to screw a couple cheap towel bars to the wall?

I read the reviews on Expedia and this sounded like the worst hotel in the world. When I arrived, there was no-one at check-in. After several minutes I made a phone call to the motel, but it was not answered, then someone turned up. The hotel was OK - basic, normal Motel 6, and, to my amazement, there was a free shuttle, which duly dropped me off at Terminal A at 0420 the next morning - brilliant. The bar across the parking lot provided average food, good beer and superb service.

Pretty much a fleabag. Counter guy was zoned out. Very loud if your room faces front. The restaurant next-door serves good food but when I went in there at 7 PM, they were converting it into a nightclub. The music was super loud already. On the positive side the bus stop for a $17 round trip into the city is just around the corner.

The photo of the front of the motel looks decent but the motel is actually old and not impressive at all. We paid more money for the room compared to Holiday Inn. No proper instructions on where to take shuttle. Emailed hotel for info but no response. At airport terminal was given conflicting info on shuttle pick up ranging from P4 to Terminal C ground floor and finally Terminal c 2nd floor door 5 - took a number of hours to finally get to the hotel. Shuttle from motel to terminal was a wait too. On Google it is stated restaurant on site. Gave the impression that motel includes an in house restaurant. No such thing. There is a restaurant a short walk away. Not part of hotel. Overall - not a great option for a layover let alone a long stay.

Good just normal experience and good price, there’s like a bar right beside though so it can be noisy at night
