Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Savannah Southside

Staff was friendly upon check-in but absent or aloof after that. Pool was open but arbitrarily closed when my wife and kids went down to use it, as if the staff had forgotten to put up a closed sign. Elevator went out of service when bringing luggage out to car and guy at front desk didn’t seem too bothered. Second floor was being renovated and painters had tracks drops of wet pant into vestibule and on sidewalk. Cheap DIY security cameras had been put up in many common areas which repeated in a loud message “ready to connect” all night. Other guests broke the quiet hours and smoked pot in their room pretty openly.

I did not eat the breakfast as the rest of the hotel was disgusting. The pool was literally shut down because of the health department and being unsanitary. There were some questionable stains on the furniture in the room, as well a the walls.

The place was undergoing remodeling and dusk was everywhere. The pool was down, the gym was closed. I was out most of the day and when I returned the room was not clean, I cut the trip short and left. To be honest they should have closed for a few days for all the inconvenience the hotel put on travelers.

Room was spotless and staff was nice. Only down fall is that they did not have towels for the pool and was told to use room towels. When I asked for room towels, I was told they were out. Other than that, stay was great!

Not sure if we came on a busy weekend or what. Staff was EXCELLENT! No issue there. The stay was not as good.. room smelled like wet rugs. Asked to change. Couldn’t. Bathrooms were terrible. Pool was good lol Breakfast 3/10 imo of hotel breakfast.

We had reservations a week in advance. We arrived at the Hotel at the same time as another couple. We were told on the phone what our rooms numbers were. The couple in front of us said they could not climb stairs. And the receptionist said to me ooops I just gave your rooms away. And that the only room available is on the 3 floor and the elevator is not working. I told her I had rooms for handicapped reserved, and my husband is handicapped he can’t walk 3 flights of stairs. We had made reservations a week in advance. She said that we would have to be refunded. I was very disappointed and upset that happened. We had just driven 5 hours and had to try and find a Hotel in the same area. So disappointed

For this being a Marriot, we were extremely disappointed by the hotel, expecting quality and clean, neither were up to par. When we arrived, we were checked into a room that was already occupied, and then there was an issue trying to find another room. After checking in, the front desk informed us that they were under construction and the pool was out of order, that was a big reason for us picking that hotel, we had just reserved the day before with nothing mentioned on the website. When we came back from dinner on night one, there was a sign on the door stating there was no vacancy even if they had reservations, that ought not be. The room itself, though "clean" was worn, definitely needed the update that was pending. On the positive side, it was nice to have the extra hide-a-bed in room so my kids didn't have to share a a bed. Also, having a fridge and microwave was great. Breakfast was okay. More to offer on Sunday than Saturday, but they did have these cake-like muffins that were pretty good. Never seemed to have much hot coffee. The lobby offered Ice water, but the dispenser rarely had any water, only ice in it, but it certainly is nice to have it offered. The staff, especially the main housekeeper was very helpful, bringing more linens as needed and helped to get our new room when the first was already occupied. Finally, when we came back from dinner, a staff member came off the elevator leaving a plume of vape smoke behind. This, a Non-smoking facility.

This could be a very nice place, however. Bathtub was unsafe, rounded bottom, worn out anti slip material, and slick. Breakfast, waffle batter was spoiled, limited supply’s , and attendant not keeping up with need. Pool not available, ice machine out of order, liquid on floor is elevator after dog walked through. Staff just put a towel over it. Honestly didn’t see the source of the liquid but did see the towel TV worked for local Chanel’s but not well on cable.

They are renting unfinished rooms. Finish the renovations before you sell. Dust on every surface of the room. Checked in at 11p.m and inhaled drywall dust all night. Was told, we have the better room of all that were available. Painters tape still on fixters, one room had paint cans in it. No ice machine, then the smell of wet carpet and mold is so hard to describe.

Looks they are upgrading, exterior painting in progress, our room was huge and clean excellent job by house keepers and team. No complaints at all was just missing pool, which was closed for some reason, but that’s not a big deal in cold weather. Front desk agent was friendly and yes breakfast is too good.

The rooms were not clean even after they were switched a d wee were told that they were all clean now. We ended up moving to a nearby hotel because we could not sleep in those rooms. We requested a total refund but was told the manage Paul would Have to approve it. Imagine you have small children out at 3:00 o’clock in the morning trying to find a nice place to sleep for the next two nights. We moved next to the Holiday Inn and the gentleman at the front desk was able to provide 4 freshly cleaned rooms ABSOLUTELY CLEAN!!!! We had to pay for rooming about what was already paid

BED BUGS!!! IF YOU DECIDE TO BOOK, TURN THE HEAT ON IN YOUR ROOM. BED BUGS WILL BEGIN TO CRAWL OUT OF THE CREVICES. The owner was rude and dismissive when I was finally able to get in touch with him!! He claimed to be out of town at the time. I have pictures and video proof +insurance so I will definitely be taking things a few steps further!! MY GIRLFRIEND HAD SEVERAL BITE MARKS!! VERY DISPLEASED!!! FREAKING BED BUGS!!!??!!!??

Would give 0 stars if I could. Room was on 3rd floor and as soon as we got off the elevator the entire walk down the long hallway smelt like cigarette smoke, we wanted to see how the room smelt before throwing in the towel completely. And it was dirty, there was spill stains on the tv, the carpet was dirty the towels looked like they had been used, there was a used towel hanging on the back of the bathroom door that had a long piece of hair on it. The shower had rust stains and spots in it and the room overall just had a strange smell. My husband went downstairs to see if we could change rooms and they have us on a few doors day and it wasn’t any better. This place seems more like a trap house run down motel than a hotel. I was glad the front desk receptionist didn’t give us a hard time about getting a full refund and leaving. Luckily we were able to get in quickly with another hotel and had a much better experience even though we had to pay a little bit more, after this experience we didn’t care.

Do not go here roaches everywhere and fleas !!! We left and went somewhere else they tried to spray the room with bug spray

Floor in room was not vacuumed and dirty, carpet had large stains, only 2 sets of towels in the room and difficult to get staff to bring extra towels, soap dispensers in shower were empty, and the room had a strong odor throughout the entire stay.

Had a great stay! The staff were super friendly, the room was spotless, and the bed was really comfortable. Everything felt easy and relaxing. I’d definitely come back.

It was 80 degrees in the hotel. The air conditioner in my room didn't work correctly. The room was not clean. The sink was clogged we had hair on our bed. They were out of towels and rags. We left the room early!!!

The building had a moldy odor and we had a family above us with children jumping on and off the beds and stomping on the floor. We had a water leak in the bathroom and had to change rooms.

The room was satisfactory, however, the shower door required some maintenance and the bed would benefit from a mattress protector.

This was a very comfortable property with nice rooms, friendly personnel, affordable pricing, free parking, and the neighborhood felt very safe with a lot of nice restaurants close by. Very convenient to all areas of Savannah. I wish I had found this one sooner. You won’t be disappointed.

Was hardly any breakfast left out and when the person brought out the potatoes they were frozen and I hurt possibly chipped my tooth. Very disappointed in the breakfast. The 3 floor hot water took 5 minutes to get there. And the shower water pressure was null and void. Will not stay at that hotel again. I will say the staff was ok.

The Staff was amazing the service was great, We did had to move rooms. The 1st room key did not work. The 2nd room the toilet overflow, the tv only work sometime. The 3rd room was excellent. All problems were solved in minutes.

Don't waste your time and money. Very poor condition. Out door lock didn't work, switched rooms and that one didn't work well either. While building is in shambles. Decor is nice and staff is friendly but that's it. Spend more money and go somewhere else.

I enjoyed my stay. The rooms are clean and pretty affordable. The staff is very courteous and friendly. Front desk especially. Asha Raval is the best! I would recommend anyone stay here.

Amanda at the front desk was very nice, but the new management was horrible rooms were not clean at 4:30pm then they overbooked so could barely get guest rooms after I had a reservation. When they did get a room he told me to wait 10 mins I waited an over a hour go to the room the door is open and the room was not cleaned! They ran my card then tried to run it again stating it sent say approved it said pending, the experience was just not good I will not be returning.

Staff was extremely courteous and helpful. I had a problem with the toilet and the maintenance man came right away, he was very professional.

Worse managed hotel that we have ever stayed at. Poorly run and manager was non-responsive and thought that it was funny that we had to wait 50 minutes for her to correct a billing mistake that her staff made.

I don’t normally leave reviews, but wanted to give this hotel a shoutout for their customer service. We were here for a short trip and they were so friendly and always asked if there was anything we needed. Excellent customer service!

Excellent place very good environment friendly stuff always helping and breakfast is amazing indoor pool is very good in this cold weather they have free drinks soft drinks is recommended to my friends when they come visit Savannah it's near to downtown no traffic best place to stay

I had a great stay here. The staff were super welcoming and went out of their way to help whenever I needed something. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The location made it really easy to get around, and I actually looked forward to coming back to the hotel at the end of the day. Overall, it felt like good value for the price and I’d definitely stay again.

Everything is well-maintained, and the attention to detail makes it feel like home. The location is perfect, and the overall experience exceeded expectations.
