Everything was amazing all the way down to the small details. Including the beautiful views. Clean, quiet, and very relaxing. I enjoyed the fire place as well the queen bed was very comfortable. Host are very nice and accommodating. Would absolutely recommend this place to stay!

We found this property to be immaculately clean and very comfortable. The host did a great job of welcoming us with fresh baked treats and checking in, via message, the following morning to assess if we were comfortable. They were quick to replace a bulb when we mentioned it. Lovely views and great privacy. The garden path from parking to the entrance is beautiful. There are some steps along the way that are a bit tricky because they are constructed of curved pavers and lack the depth that is more comfortable for big feet, especially when carrying items in and out. This shouldn’t be a problem unless someone’s mobility is challenged by joint pain or weakness or if they have balance issues. Highly recommend for a quiet get-away.

Perfect spot for my quick business trip to CDA. Nice views of Hayden Lake and great location to get around the city easily. Property is extremely well organized and very clean. Very comfortable bed and furniture too. I didn’t use the hammock on the deck regrettably. Wi-Fi worked perfectly. I will look to stay here again in the future.

Deborah What an absolutely wonderful place. We my husband and I spent a week in your Haydon Lake home. From the moment we walked in we felt invited, comfortable, and at home. There was a lovely plate with homemade scones and cookies waiting for us along with a sweet note welcoming us. We truly appreciated the printed out instructions for each item/thing/devices so we that we didn’t have to hunt for the information. Having a place to put our shoes/boots when we came in was much appreciated along with the coatrack. The home was immaculate, the furniture comfortable, the appliances spotless. Not only was there a basket with Biscotti, Mini candy bars, granola bars, instant oatmeal envelopes, tea bags (with sticks of honey), sugar packets and instructions where we could find the coffee pods but a quart of milk in the refrigerator. The large bedroom and large closet was so nice with all the extra blankets, coat hangers, shelves, iron and board, we were able to put all of our things away including luggage. We weren’t having to stumble through it all like you would in a hotel. The large bed was so comfortable and having table lamps on each of the nightstands was nice, we like to read at night but not necessarily at the same time. The keyless entry, and parking was so great especially with the snow. You answered all my messages so nicely and quickly. Thank you so much for all your thoughtfulness. This is going to be our go to place when we come again. Candy

Really enjoyed our stay in Idaho, Location was close to all the things we had planned already. Never failed to see deer roaming the neighborhood which was great. Views from the deck were our favorite while enjoying our morning coffee! Special baked treats when we arrived was a nice welcome! Everything was clean and cozy, we will be back for sure!!

This was a perfect place to stay while we atttended the first Modern Homesteading conference at the fair grounds. It was only 7 minutes away from the event so it was easy to run back to cool off in the air conditioning or grab a meal. The kitchenette had full size appliances. We were greeted with freshly baked scones and cookies on arrival. The bed was comfortable and the deck was perfect to have coffee and watch the sunset. Communication with the host was easy and all the little details made us feel right at home. Would love to stay here again!

Our stay went very smoothly here! Nice clean place with everything we needed. The instructions throughout the place were very helpful so we didnt need to bug the hosts with questions! My daughter didnt want to leave this cozy place! Great view off the deck!

Everything was clean neat and perfect. Right away when we checked in it instantly felt like a home away from home the baked goods were wonderful we enjoyed them and the milk. Bed was comfortable and cozy. The view off deck was beautiful. Kitchen was great we enjoyed making breakfast in it. Thank you for hospitality we would come back again.

After several days in Glacier NP we decided to explore Coeur d'Alene and found this lovely place to stay. It was spotlessly clean, well appointed, had beautiful views and was the perfect launching point to explore the wonderful town and surrounding area. We particularly enjoyed hiking through Tubbs Hill Park and its amazing views of the lake. Later we dined and shopped on Sherman Ave. Deborah and Damien made us feel right at home and Deborah baked us some amazing orange glazed scones that were our snack on our hike. Don't hesitate to stay in this wonderful and cozy space.
After several days in Glacier NP we decided to explore Coeur d'Alene and found this lovely place to stay. It was spotlessly clean, well appointed, had beautiful views and was the perfect launching point to explore the wonderful town and surrounding area. Although our stay was only for the weekend, we found the Hayden Lake Retreat to be the perfect "home away from home!" It was peaceful and relaxing, and we were very impressed by how immaculate this little retreat was. Everything was spotless and the attention to detail was five-star. We loved the delicious "welcome treats" and we were pleasantly surprised to find a fresh quart of milk in the fridge for our use - the one thing we forgot to bring for our English Breakfast cups of tea!! We also really appreciated the filtered water, which is often not available in other places. The queen bed was super comfortable and, in spite of the rainy weekend, we enjoyed the amazing views once the fog cleared. Thank you to our hosts, Deborah & Damien, for a wonderful stay - we hope to be back again for a longer visit before too long!

My wife and I had a great time staying here. The neighborhood is quiet and the views are spectacular. So much wildlife to see whether on a walk or just hanging out on the deck. The hosts were very nice and made us feel at home.

Just as last time, this place was clean, well stocked kitchen and bathroom and in a excellent location in a quiet neighborhood within a few minute drive of town. Deborah has thought of all the details to make us feel at home. The views, sunrise and sunsets are breathtaking, eating meals on the deck is a must. Thank you for providing such a lovely place to stay while we attended the Modern Homesteading Conference.

My husband and I greatly enjoyed a kid-free getaway at this property! It was very clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the fireplace kept us cozy on a cold, icy weekend. We also loved the small extras like scones, sweet treats, and yummy tea. We definitely recommend this property!

Everything was amazing. We were in Idaho for a wedding and this was the perfect respite spot before all the activities. We hiked we biked we saw the sights. Deborah was great with adding additional ideas.. as we did ourselves in journal. Great location had everything we needed. Deborah was a great host. WE LOVE IDAHO .. so we’ll be back

I cannot say enough how much we loved our stay. When we got there, the owners had left a very nice note of welcome as well as some desserts with milk. The view was better than the pictures showed. The house is so quaint and nice that it was easily the most relaxed I have been in quite some time. The house is so quaint and nice that it was easily the most relaxed I have been in quite some time. Host was spot on with communications. Did not have any issues and a message just telling host we arrived and departed was responded to quickly.Check in was super easy. Code to get in property was communicated with clear instructions and we arrived, got right in!Property was just as advertised. Very comfy and cozy. We also felt we had our privacy. View from deck is beautiful. Looks right down to Hayden Lake. Neighborhood was great, lots of deer and turkeys wandering around in various places along the drive.Location overall was great. After several days in Glacier NP we decided to explore Coeur d'Alene and found this lovely place to stay. It was spotlessly clean, well appointed, had beautiful views and was the perfect launching point to explore the wonderful town and surrounding area. We particularly enjoyed hiking through Tubbs Hill Park and its amazing views of the lake. Later we dined and shopped on Sherman Ave. Deborah and Damien made us feel right at home and Deborah baked us some amazing orange glazed scones that were our snack on our hike. Don't hesitate to stay in this wonderful and cozy space.

By far the worst experience I have ever had. First off, this listing was classified under “entire home.” Be aware these host are very misleading. Not only is not an entire home. They claim it to be an Apartment in their updated description. Note, this unit, Is a down stairs basement. You must walk through the back yard to access the basement. Where the host are always present. You can hear the host all day and night walking upstairs. You will have no privacy whatsoever at this unit. You have no access to a thermostat to control the temperature in the unit. The host has the audacity to tell you to open or close the windows if you want it warmer or cooler. There also doesn’t happen to be any washers nor dryers. Typically a “entire home” or “apartment” would have those basic amenities. The worst of it all the host attempted to charge me an additional 210. For having my 9&11 year old daughters with me. Despite me messaging the host two weeks prior informing them of my stay including my wife and children. Then upon leaving. The host tried to charge me for damages, including “ greasy dishes, extra linens” among other false claims. Heed Warning, these host not only are unwelcoming. They will attempt to charge you more than your initial payment.

Hayden Lake Retreat" exceeded those expectations The property, the location, welcoming host & oh my goodness that view. Everything we needed for our 3 night stay was readily available. (including milk in the refrigerator, Keurig coffee pods & a basket full of snacks). Our host Debra even dropped by to introduce herself and brought a tray of homemade scones to welcome us. The property was immaculately clean, well decorated, comfortable & spacious. The huge deck was the perfect place to unwind & view the sunset over Hayden Lake. Thank you for a most wonderful stay.

This was a perfect place to stay while we atttended the first Modern Homesteading conference at the fair grounds. It was only 7 minutes away from the event so it was easy to run back to cool off in the air conditioning or grab a meal. The kitchenette had full size appliances. We were greeted with freshly baked scones and cookies on arrival. The bed was comfortable and the deck was perfect to have coffee and watch the sunset. Communication with the host was easy and all the little details made us feel right at home. Would love to stay here again!

Excellent location with birdseye view of the lake and close to town. So calming and the space was perfect for my sister and I to relax. Deb was wonderful to work with and her scones were out of this world. Highly recommend this spot for a night or week or longer. Hope to be back soon.

My wife and I had a great time staying here. The neighborhood is quiet and the views are spectacular. So much wildlife to see whether on a walk or just hanging out on the deck. The hosts were very nice and made us feel at home.

Perfect spot for my quick business trip to CDA. Nice views of Hayden Lake and great location to get around the city easily. Property is extremely well organized and very clean. Very comfortable bed and furniture too. I didn’t use the hammock on the deck regrettably. Wi-Fi worked perfectly. I will look to stay here again in the future.

Really enjoyed our stay in Idaho, Location was close to all the things we had planned already. Never failed to see deer roaming the neighborhood which was great. Views from the deck were our favorite while enjoying our morning coffee! Special baked treats when we arrived was a nice welcome! Everything was clean and cozy, we will be back for sure!!

Everything was clean neat and perfect. Right away when we checked in it instantly felt like a home away from home the baked goods were wonderful we enjoyed them and the milk. Bed was comfortable and cozy. The view off deck was beautiful. Kitchen was great we enjoyed making breakfast in it. Thank you for hospitality we would come back again.

Deborah What an absolutely wonderful place. We my husband and I spent a week in your Haydon Lake home. From the moment we walked in we felt invited, comfortable, and at home. There was a lovely plate with homemade scones and cookies waiting for us along with a sweet note welcoming us. We truly appreciated the printed out instructions for each item/thing/devices so we that we didn’t have to hunt for the information. Having a place to put our shoes/boots when we came in was much appreciated along with the coatrack. The home was immaculate, the furniture comfortable, the appliances spotless. Not only was there a basket with Biscotti, Mini candy bars, granola bars, instant oatmeal envelopes, tea bags (with sticks of honey), sugar packets and instructions where we could find the coffee pods but a quart of milk in the refrigerator. The large bedroom and large closet was so nice with all the extra blankets, coat hangers, shelves, iron and board, we were able to put all of our things away including luggage. We weren’t having to stumble through it all like you would in a hotel. The large bed was so comfortable and having table lamps on each of the nightstands was nice, we like to read at night but not necessarily at the same time. The keyless entry, and parking was so great especially with the snow. You answered all my messages so nicely and quickly. Thank you so much for all your thoughtfulness. Although our stay was only for the weekend, we found the Hayden Lake Retreat to be the perfect "home away from home!" It was peaceful and relaxing, and we were very impressed by how immaculate this little retreat was. Everything was spotless and the attention to detail was five-star. We loved the delicious "welcome treats" and we were pleasantly surprised to find a fresh quart of milk in the fridge for our use - the one thing we forgot to bring for our English Breakfast cups of tea!! We also really appreciated the filtered water, which is often not available in other places. The queen bed was super comfortable and, in spite of the rainy weekend, we enjoyed the amazing views once the fog cleared. Thank you to our hosts, Deborah & Damien, for a wonderful stay - we hope to be back again for a longer visit before too long!

we have traveled in many VRBO and we would say this is oneof the cleanest places we have ever stayed and that is veryimportant to my wife... the amenities were excellent witha touch of scones ...cookies .. and milk in the refrigerator....what a nice surprise.... the view was spectacular... and the deck was amazing... if anything we would object toin our experience was that the house had control of theheating and we had to count on them to make surewe were comfortable... which we were.. but that was different for us........ all in all we had a great experienceed

Deborah and Damien are excellent and kind hosts! Their property is absolutely beautiful and the accommodations are perfect. The views of the lake, mountains, and garden are stunning, and everything we wanted and needed for a comfortable stay was available, clean, and easy to use. There are many activities within 30 minutes of the location, including hiking at Farragut State Park, rollercoasters at Silverwood, and great shopping and restaurants in Hayden and Coeur d'Alene. Deborah was very communicative, and the check-in process was was very easy. We're glad to have stayed here for our getaway.
