The room and bed were comfy, we had a really good night's sleep! The walk around the lake was easy and enjoyable for everyone young and old:) lovely to see the kangaroos around in the evening, and the ducks in the morning:)

Nice stay in a forest environment Our chalet was a little dated and the adjoining room had a spa which was very noisy in our room. Saying that I would stay there again but not in the room we were allocated . The gazebo on the lake also needed some attention and the seating that was there had bird droppings on which was not inviting to sit, which was a shame. On the plus side our bed was made each day and replenished with towels if needed

It was a very convenient place to stay. Having a microwave and toaster was perfect for us. The room was adequate in size, with a fold up table and chairs. The was some noise from the adjoining room. The laundry was convenient but fairly expensive and needed coins. The restaurant was very good with delicious smoked duck and a helpful and attentive waitress. The walk around the little lake was pleasant.

Old fashioned resort with beautiful sunset view but the path to GAZEBO was a bit flooded. Restaurant vibe was wounded as a group buffet was arranged for a big Asian country. Fish was overcooked & prices were set at high side.

The “Lodge” was pleasant enough. Room clean, cosy and tidy. Staff not thoughtful putting cleaning trollies right by our doorway before we had checked out at 10am. Gave an unwelcoming ‘get out’ feeling. They could have waited another 10 minutes. When I dropped the key to reception the German owner wasn’t really interested and just stayed sitting and typing on his computer.. Poor courtesy and hospitality.

Likes: - Quiet - coffee machine Dislikes - only given 1 coffee capsule per guest per night ( any additional are payable, how much are these capsules anyway that they should charge guests who are paying $150 per night stay) - we stayed 2 nights and the cleaning was not thorough ( trash cans not emptied , carpet not vacuumed) - very expensive restaurant , most guests evidently choose to dine elsewhere

Check in process was easy and I felt very welcomed. The room felt very homey and was very clean. There was a variety of options from the minibar and kitchen (including appliances etc). Nice walk around the property to view the lake and wild life around (birds, kangaroos). It’s probably the most comfortable hotel stay we’ve ever had. We also had dinner at the restaurant, the food was awesome and the service was great! Looking forward to stay again one day, thank you.

The Lodge was fabulous. Very comfortable. Beautiful property. Peaceful overnight. Would love to stay again. One small thing for housekeeping, it was great having crockery, cutlery, cutting board, etc with a basket containing dishwashing liquid, sponge and an electrostatic clothe … but no tea towel ???

I think the resort would be great for a longer stay. Sadly it was heavy rain and chilly. I expected a larger room, with a table & chairs. There was a fold up table under the TV but only chairs were on the balcony. Guess they could've been brought inside. Bathroom was quite large in comparison with the room. However, for 1 night it was fine. The bed was VERY comfortable. Appreciated the toiletries and tissues. Please also supply paper towels in the kitchen.

Arrived at 4pm on the hottest day of the year in Pemberton at 41 degrees and was given a room facing west with the doors and windows wide open and the room was like an oven. We had to close everything and set the aircon to 20 degrees and go out for 4 hours before we could use the room. A tiny bit of forethought a few hours before, like closing curtains and turning on the aircon, could have made our arrival much more pleasant.

Arrived at 4pm on the hottest day of the year in Pemberton at 41 degrees and was given a room facing west with the doors and windows wide open and the room was like an oven. We had to close everything and set the aircon to 20 degrees and go out for 4 hours before we could use the room. A tiny bit of forethought a few hours before, like closing curtains and turning on the aircon, could have made our arrival much more pleasant.

Because I left my paperwork at home, went to property before check-in to see we were at the right property. Told in no uncertain terms "we were to early so will have to come back". We did mention why we were early and did not expect to be able to check-in. Dining experience - staff were excellent, when paying we mentioned tip, told not to as The Boss keeps it all!

We had a great stay here. The place was top rate with lots of nice extras in the room. The reception staff was really helpful with ensuring the booked room was were we wanted it and the right sort of room. I can't recommend Forest Lodge Resort enough. Will stay here again.

A beautiful place to stay, I loved the surroundings, wildlife and accessibility into town. We enjoyed the meal at the restaurant though would have liked a staff person on hand to help with operating the pancake machine. We did get help from the front desk personnel but perhaps a person in the dining room would be better. Very friendly cleaning staff, greeted with a smile.

Check in process was easy and I felt very welcomed. The room felt very homey and was very clean. There was a variety of options from the minibar and kitchen (including appliances etc). Nice walk around the property to view the lake and wild life around (birds, kangaroos). It’s probably the most comfortable hotel stay we’ve ever had. We also had dinner at the restaurant, the food was awesome and the service was great! Looking forward to stay again one day, thank you.

This was set in a bush land setting. The receptionist was welcoming and informative. The room was in an upscale motel unit formation. It viewed the lake and gardens. It was great to be able to walk to the Gloucester Tree from there

Out of town by about 2 klms. Was not prewarned that they close the Restaurant & bar in February, so a bit overpriced for what you get. Rooms are nice and the area is very quiet and relaxing.Nice dam but no swimming allowed and no pool for a Resort stay.Room was comfortable but a bit dated.

The property was spectacular, the grounds amazing, the rooms extremely affordable and clean and classy. Unfortunately the restaurant lets the Resort down. 7pm booking couldnt get in earlier. Things sold out on menu and changed different to menu on site online.Then orders taken took almost 50mins before brought to table. Setting only for 1 on table booking for 2. Then rudely cutlery thrown on table without a serviette. The soup was terrible luke warm and terrible taste unable to be eaten. Thank goodness ordered side of garlic bread. Prices extreme extravagant. Rating 5/10 :(

Old fashioned resort with beautiful sunset view but the path to GAZEBO was a bit flooded. Restaurant vibe was wounded as a group buffet was arranged for a big Asian country. Fish was overcooked & prices were set at high side.

We loved the very pretty location and particularly having the restaurant on-site. The room was well equipped and had a very comfortable bed. The restaurant itself was delightful, great food and the wine prices were surprisingly reasonable. Would stay again.

What a delightful place to stay for 3 nights! A bonus was an upgrade to a Chalet. Friendly, helpful staff; nice kitchenette to prepare meals in; great location and views of visiting Roos outside; and great in-sight restaurant.

Clean, spacious and comfortable room. Great to have a portable induction stove to cook simple meals. Nice big garden to explore. However, the hot water temperature wasn’t consistent to have a nice shower. Apart from that, we had a good stay.

No easy chairs to relax on, only fold up chairs in the kitchen area. A sewerage smell like dirty drains. The retic came on at 7.30 in the morning waking us up as it was hammering against the outside wall and not going over the plants. The kettke the tap to fill up. No instructions on how to work the TV. Very tight parking area for our chalet. Glad the night we had there was for a necessary event in town and not part of a holiday
