Hampton Inn & Suites Columbus-Easton Area

First let me say I love this hotel and I’ve stayed numerous times but for some reason this time was the worst. From the hotel losing my reservation that was made back in June for a September stay where we ended up paying more to rebook. Then I check in and was charged an additional $182 on top of my room charge. I called the hotel atleast 3x speaking to staff and left atleast 3 messages for the hotel manager Louis but for some reason he is not calling me back. No one can explain why I was charged the extra $182. I’m at a loss at the lack of customer service I’ve received and the inability of the hotel manager to call back when I’ve been told he is in and he was given my messages. I tried handling this dispute internally before writing this review but for some reason trying to do the right thing isn’t working. So hopefully the hotel district manager will call me back since the hotel manager won’t call me back to explain the charge. I’ve disputed my charge with my card company but the charge will stay until the case is resolved. It would be so much easier faster and the right thing to do if the hotel manager would’ve just called me back, looked into the charge, and removed the charge since I did not make any additional purchases not stay an additional night. The hotel customer service and communication really needs to improve. This is absolutely horrible service and costing me alot of my time that the hotel can’t reimburse me for.

Room has a certain smell. TV wasn't working, phone wasn't hooked up. The shower was hard to turn on. Breakfast wasn't ready when it was supposed to.

There was a glitch in their system which didn’t let us get into our room until after 9pm. The girl on staff was very sweet but I was disappointed that even after having no internet until after 11pm, I asked that the manager contact me and left me phone number and never received a call back or any sort of compensation for the 6 hours I had to find somewhere to be other than my room. This affected our dinner plans since we couldn’t get into a room to change and get ready for my daughter’s 21st bday celebration. The breakfast the next day was also awful. Will not stay here again.

Excellent hotel for the price and the excellent location in Colombus Ohio. Good breakfast included. Free parking. Clean and spacious rooms.

Staff was very nice and efficient. Breakfast was so good! Hotel was clean, comfortable and centrally located.
