Quaint French cottage surrounded by beautiful lavender plants, birds & bunnies and very quiet, which we loved! Home is beautifully decorated and feels very cozy. Enjoyed some wine on the front porch surrounded by so much beauty. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we only wish we could have stayed longer!

We really enjoyed our stayed at this little French Cottage. It was well furnished with all the necessities that we needed to make our stay extra comfortable. Farmer Craig & Dana were quick to answer any questions that we had. We enjoyed the patio in the early evenings and the wood burning fireplace at night. It’s so quiet and peaceful that you can’t help being relaxed. The amazing bathtub & comfy bed was a definite plus in the relaxation department. We looked forward to our coffee from the nespresso machine in each morning! We loved our time and were sad to leave. We hope to return someday soon!

We had the most amazing time in La Petite Maison. It was really what we needed. We took long walks along the country road and spent most of the time in and around the cottage. The cottage had everything we needed. The cottage was charming and we especially took full advantage of the fire place inside and having the heater outside allowed us to eat outside on the cool evenings. The welcome amenities were a nice touch. Lovely place to getaway in the Valley.

This is a petite cottage in the hills of Santa Ynez. Fun to stay and experience the calm of the countryside. There are nice amenities on the property, to include a wonderful porch to eat a morning meal. The place is outfitted with great bedding and a cozy feel. Great for a couple or family of four. I would recommend giving it a try.

We met our dearest friends for some time away from the kids to try the vineyards in the area. The cottage is so cute inside and out! We enjoyed evenings on the front porch smelling the lavender in the air and hearing the buzz of all the busy bees! The lavender soap and lotion were a hit, and the couple of complimentary products were much appreciated. This area is so quiet and quaint and we hope to visit again sometime soon! Highly recommend!

This beautiful little house is exactly as pictured. The furnishings are gorgeous and comfortable. The outdoor dining area & grill were perfect for eating in after a few great restaurant meals. Wine tasting is just down road. While tasting, enjoy a picnic from Los Olivos Grocery. Looking forward to returning!

We really loved this gorgeous French inspired home, very cozy and surround by the most beautiful large Grosso lavender fields! Love the products for sale on property! And the location is great, very close to town, but set in the most peaceful rural back roads of SY!

This is our 3rd time staying at this property and we enjoyed our stay. The cottage has all the things you need for a short stay. The grounds are lovely with all the lavender plants and the area is quiet, quiet, quiet. Yet so close to SY or Los Olivos for dinner and wine country for winery visits. Hope to return again... In prior visits, there was use of a bocce ball court, but sadly that is no longer the case - we miss that!

Very cute cottage, in a terrific location away from the city. Communications and info from the owner were exceptional, and the grounds (lavender farm, olive trees, chair swing) were so relaxing. We enjoyed taking a walk, looking at the horses and waving to the friendly neighbors; such a nice 'country feel'. And the central location to so many wineries helped keep commute times low. Looking forward to staying again here!

This charming little French cottage on a lavender farm did not disappoint. It’s tiny but has everything we needed and set in a beautiful peaceful location. Spent 3 nights relaxing on the property, lying in the hammock looking up at the stars, going into town (Santa Ynez/Los Olivos/Buellton etc). The beds are very comfortable and the decor is charming and tasteful. Love the clawfoot tub and the host’s Lavande bath and body products throughout the house to try and purchase. I wish our stay happened before the lavender was harvested so we could experience the smells we read about, but that’s not a complaint. Next time we will try to schedule our stay to be there before the lavender is cut. Just a couple things needed but nothing a dealbreaker: more hooks to hang towels and I’ll bring a lighted mirror next time, since the lighting in bathroom is a little dark. Just small things. We love it and the hosts were lovely and communicative.

It was a beautiful stay on a beautiful property! Only needed some dusting and had some items left over from a previous occupant. They left us a lovely note and bottle of wine though and had coffee and water bottles which was a super sweet touch! Would definitely stay again. :)

Overall, wonderful stay and terrific host. The host nailed all the basics; communication, cleanliness and many others. The cottage is exactly as described. The property itself and the surrounding ranches and beautiful. We went on several walks in the morning. Its about 5-15 minutes into each of the respectively small towns and everything was easy to get to. We look forward to visiting again soon!
Overall, wonderful stay and terrific host. The host nailed all the basics; communication, cleanliness and many others. The cottage is exactly as described. The property itself and the surrounding ranches and beautiful. We went on several walks in the morning. Its about 5-15 minutes into each of the respectively small towns and everything was easy to get to. We look forward to visiting again soon!

They built a nice casita-then let it slip into disrepair and neglect.Good design and building materials, tasteful furnishings, very good cutlery, bedding and appliances. It is isolated and quiet.However: There were/are dead and alive flies in every room, including the kitchen and bath. There are dead flies and insects between the screens and the windows. The widows are dirty.Owner responds that he cannot solve the fly problem. There was dust on the floor, shelves and sills. There was dried mold in the wine decanter and water with mold left in the water kettle. Food particles were stuck inside the kitchen sink. Interior walls need paint. Chimney wall shows dark smudges. Couch is badly stained. Entranceway/terrace has dirt, leaves, dried olive pits. A left over sock was in a decorataive fixture. Misc. debris.Bedside table is broken, lock mechanism on window has fallen off, interior door handle is only taped in place. Missing weather stripping around door leaves a substantial gap to the ourtside. Welcome book badly needs updating.

My wife, sister-in-law and I canceled our original reservation and booked this property as soon as we discovered it by accident. Fortunately, it was available on short notice for our dates. The casita is beautiful, cozy beyond belief and a perfect reflection of the Santa Ynez Valley. Highlights for us were the amazingly comfortable beds, soft sheets, beautiful/quiet location, and the fireplace! The property is well-appointed and had everything we needed. Just be careful not to lock the bottom half of the front Dutch door (as we did) or you’ll lock yourself out! The issue was resolved in minutes thanks to prompt communication! This will be our go-to property whenever we visit the valley in the future (pending availability, of course!). I guess the only bad news is the property is not for sale 🤣

Le petite Maison is absolutely charming. We loved the quaint touches throughout the cottage. The large connecting bathroom is spacious with plenty of room for toiletries. The location is amongst a grove of olive trees and french lavender which adds to the charm. We hope to return in the near future!

This is a must-book if you are looking for a truly beautiful, private, peaceful little house in an idyllic setting that feels so like the French countryside. I would even add a day to your stay so you can just hang out and enjoy the place itself, in addition to wine tasting or whatever else you have planned! The hosts are super friendly and were helpful with anything we needed.

This is a dream cottage located on a lavender farm amidst horse estates and vineyards. We loved our morning walks on the country road. The owners are so friendly and helpful! We stayed for two weeks so we got to know the area very well. The location is wonderful for a quiet and relaxing home base from which to explore the local vineyards and other sights. If you are looking for a country setting in a beautiful space, this should be your choice.
This is a dream cottage located on a lavender farm amidst horse estates and vineyards. We loved our morning walks on the country road. The owners are so friendly and helpful! We stayed for two weeks so we got to know the area very well. The location is wonderful for a quiet and relaxing home base from which to explore the local vineyards and other sights. Very cute cottage, in a terrific location away from the city. Communications and info from the owner were exceptional, and the grounds (lavender farm, olive trees, chair swing) were so relaxing. We enjoyed taking a walk, looking at the horses and waving to the friendly neighbors; such a nice 'country feel'. And the central location to so many wineries helped keep commute times low. Looking forward to staying again here!

Everything about La Petite Maison is so thoughtfully done—from the welcome bottle of wine to the lavender products to sample (we bought the yummy bath salts and linen spray to take home!) to the swing in the garden. Our only regret is that we were so busy with our niece's wedding festivities that we couldn't spend more time communing with the quail and butterflies.

My husband and I were fortunate to celebrate our 15-year wedding anniversary at La Petite Maison for 2-nights. Jana, the host was extremely accommodating, and was quick to respond to any questions we had. The location is very peaceful, and the surrounding grounds are beautiful. Jana gifted us a bottle of her estate's wine, as well as a few home-produced lavender products. Our only complaint is that our visit was too short. We’re looking forward to future stays at La Petite Maison!

A little bit of Provence in Los Olivos …. Exceptional communication, and gracious host. Stylish artistic comfortable décor with everything you will need!! We were in a wedding at a winery near by. Wish we would have had a little longer to enjoy this charming cottage!!

I have to be careful in terms of how much Praise I offer as it could have the effect of making further bookings more complicated – but just have to say, this is an absolutely perfect location and home for a wine country getaway north of Santa Barbara. Dana was wonderful, easy to communicate with, the location is absolutely fantastic With proximity to everything nearby. Definitely will stay again.

Overall, wonderful stay and terrific host. The host nailed all the basics; communication, cleanliness and many others. The cottage is exactly as described. The property itself and the surrounding ranches and beautiful. We went on several walks in the morning. Its about 5-15 minutes into each of the respectively small towns and everything was easy to get to. We look forward to visiting again soon!

This beautiful little house is exactly as pictured. The furnishings are gorgeous and comfortable. The outdoor dining area & grill were perfect for eating in after a few great restaurant meals. Wine tasting is just down road. While tasting, enjoy a picnic from Los Olivos Grocery. Looking forward to returning!

We really loved this gorgeous French inspired home, very cozy and surround by the most beautiful large Grosso lavender fields! Love the products for sale on property! And the location is great, very close to town, but set in the most peaceful rural back roads of SY!

Found the cottage to be the perfect place to stay in the valley. Equal distant between Santa Ynez and Los Olivos and a short drive from Solvang. Beautiful quiet location and charming decor. my brother and I were very comfortable

The house was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed including an outdoor gas grill with cooking tools. Host Dana was very nice. We highly recommend staying at Dana's place for a relaxing get away!

An absolutely lovely spot that takes you into the windy roads of SY. The hosts make it easy as possible. Lots of privacy, your own small yard. I felt as if I lived there.

The cottage was a welcomed surprise. Very homey, comfortable and personable. It was an excellent home away from home stay. Every thing you could want for a few days away. It was also very quiet and private. Dana was always available, if anything was needed. The only thing that could have made the stay better is if the lavender was blooming! Many thanks to the host!
