Un poco retirado del Centro. Hay que pagar por aparcar en el recinto (10 Euros por noche). Se come bien y el personal es muy amable. Otra pega es que para comprar una simple botella de agua (2'60 Euros) haya que pagar con tarjeta.

One night stay before catching the Ceuta ferry. What a fantastic classic hotel, I was overwhelmed by the grand old building and the lovely interiors. Fire lit in the fireplace and a library ! Yes a library stocked with many books! Perhaps a little tired but packed with real charm, I really really enjoyed my stay here and will return.

2 eme séjour en 3 semaines. Établissement de qualité. Petit-déjeuner généreux et varié. Un beau buffet. Chambre très spacieuse. Les jardins de l’hôtel sont superbes et la vue sur la mer sont un plus. Le grand parking est un atout.

So first the good points. The outdoor pool is amazing with lots of sun loungers. The lifeguards though spend their whole time looking at their phones and ignoring the customers. The surrounding area is riddled with vagrants in the bushes so access to the hotel is closed off from all the main gates, meaning you can only access on foot using the vehicle entrance. But the main problem with the hotel is that the rooms are in need of serious upgrading and better maintenance. Here is a list of the issues I had in the room: Some lights not working in the bathroom and the bedroom. Noise from bathplug - constant gurgling noise. Narrow beds - not wide enough for an adult. Floodlights from outside window - had to wear an eye mask to block out the bright lights. Weak air-conditioning - the room was constantly warm and the Aircon made little difference. Only 1 plug in room - had to charge my laptop in the bathroom sink using the hairdryer plug! No hand soap or shower gel - had to use my own shower gel. Noise at night from the downstairs - my room was right above the reception. Had to use earplugs to sleep.

Ik kan begrijpen dat dit hotel 50 jaar geleden een sjieke uitstraling had, maar nu zie je toch vergane glorie. De kamer was niet proper, ontbijt was redelijk uitgebreid en goed. Buitenzwembad is uitstekend, maar sluit om 20u, wat naar Spaanse normen heel vroeg is. Binnenzwembad was gesloten, maar heb je in juli niet nodig. Dinerbuffet is met 18 euro goedkoop en voldoende keuze

séjour de 3 nuits. Hôtel historique avec un super emplacement à 2 pas du centre ville d'Algésiras, au dessus du port. Cet hôtel au calme, dispose d'une piscine extérieure bien exposée Le jardin pourrait être mieux entretenu. L'intérieur est un peu vieillot tout comme les chambres qui mériteraient d'être refaites. Ceci dit elles sont propres, fonctionnelles, et grandes. Le petit déjeuner est assez gargantuesque mais pas utile à mon sens. Mieux vaut avoir moins et mieux. Au final, bon rapport qualité/prix. Si je dois revenir je n'hésiterai pas à réserver à nouveau.

Lovely hotel surrounded by a nice garden. Many seating areas to relax and have a drink, chat or play a game. (Early) check in was easy. Breakfast buffet was well stocked with many choices. Initially we got a key to a standard (poolside) room which was outdated. Highly recommend upgrading as our main building room was very nice. Personally I liked the historical look of the hotel with marble stairs, wooden floors and wrought iron.

Lovely, historical hotel. Room not up to expectations , good rooms kept for huge coach parties, but I must stress fantastically clean, Dining staff great, not too friendly on desk but overall thoroughly enjoyable. Kept very cool in hotel rooms . Pool could be bigger for size of hotel. We would return.

Ich bekam ein Zimmer im Souterrain. An sich kein Problem. Leider stinkt es im gesamten Stockwerk massiv nach Moder. In meinem (schönen) Zimmer habe ich sofort die Fenster geöffnet, das hat jedoch leider nichts geholfen. Meine Schimmel-Allergie hat sich immer stärker bemerkbar gemacht. Eine Nacht in diesem Zimmer hätte mich unzweifelhaft ins Krankenhaus gebracht! Da ich am diesem Tag nicht mehr belastbar war, habe ich anstatt mich selber drum zu kümmern, den Hotels.com Kundendienst eingeschaltet und bekam ruckzuck ein anderes Zimmer. Diesmal mit ordentlicher Luft!

Abbiamo soggiornato una notte di passaggio, scegliendo un 4 stelle sperando nella pulizia che invece è stata deludente. La moquette dei corridoi era inguardabile dalla sporcizia. Nel bagno non c era ne il sapone per le mani ne lo spazzolino del wc. Scarso rapporro qualità prezzo

L hotel impressionne par sa taille son parc magnifique et son emplacement proche du ferry .il devait etre beau a l époque !!! Par contre il n est pas entretenu c est dommage C est sale et vieillot Les murs de la chambre sont délabrés et sales . Le protege sommier est noir au sol.les plafonds de la salle de bain sont moisis et sales Pas de produit de douche ou shampoing. Pas de bouteille d eau . que du produit pour laver les mains Bruyant dans les couloirs Petit dejeuner correct Le personnel d accueil ne connait pas le sourire . peu avenant a l arrivee comme au depart .

I stayed in Algeciras as a base for visiting Gibraltar. (Algeciras is not a destination I would otherwise have visited.) I obtained my room at this historic 4* hotel, set in its own parkland, at an unbelievably reasonable rate, cheaper than other 1* and 2* hotels in other cities in Andalusia, with the excellent breakfast included in the price. An equivalent hotel in Gibraltar itself would be three times the cost, so would recommend visitors wishing to see Gibraltar to stay here. An easy walk to the bus station where a local bus runs regularly to the border, taking around 40 minutes. Did not use the indoor or outdoor swimming pools. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and spacious, with the furniture giving it a period feel. Unfortunately, when I tried to hang my jacket in the wardrobe, the whole rail collapsed. The hangars were unable to take my jacket's weight. I had single occupancy of a twin room. There was no seat at the desk, with one easy chair the other side of the room. These two small problems are the only things needing improvement. Would stay again, as Algeciras is also a good base for visiting Tarifa.

Al llegar al hotel me intentaron cobrar la habitacion que ya estaba pagada. Y a unos amigos le dieron una habitacion que tenia 5 cucarachas. Se la cambiaron por una mejor. Pero no es de recibo encontrar cucarachas en un hotel de 4 estrellas.

My 4th stay and possibly the best room so far with port and sea view. Very irritating doors banging day and night from other rooms. I suspect this was due to failing pneumatic door stays although some of the banging was purely from inconsiderate guests. Also sad to note That San Miguel beer was the only beer on tap. Must be the worst beer going. I understand this is because of the negotiated contract with drink suppliers. CruzCampo Special or something similar would be much better.

The hotel was pleasant and rooms were comfortable. however doors are very noisy when people slam them so sleep affected, And lots of banging about from people in room above really echoes. Could even here them coughing loudly early in the morning. Info on website said executive rooms had bathrobes but they don't. There is an extra charge for using the room safe whilst these usually tend to be free in most hotels nowadays.

Lovely hotel surrounded by a nice garden. Many seating areas to relax and have a drink, chat or play a game. (Early) check in was easy. Breakfast buffet was well stocked with many choices. Initially we got a key to a standard (poolside) room which was outdated. Highly recommend upgrading as our main building room was very nice. Personally I liked the historical look of the hotel with marble stairs, wooden floors and wrought iron.

Prisvärt alternativ nära stranden, endast 5 min med bil. Väldigt bra frukost, med många val möjligheter. Prisvärd buffé på kvällen. AC strulade när vi checkade in men service personalen fixade problemet direkt! Imponerande! Bodde där 2 nätter när besökte Gibraltar. Hittade dock inte tennis banan eller minigolfbanan som visades upp på deras sida på Hotels.com.

L'hôtel est situé dans un beau parc et il possède les vestiges du luxe d'antan. Nous sommes des habitués du lieu. Mais ses prestations ont baissé très récemment. Pendant notre séjour (vague de chaleur), la climatisation était en panne dans tout l'hôtel, le personnel nous a répondu que "pour les Espagnols, il ne fait pas si chaud que ça" en tout et pour tout. (!) Un dîner-buffet est proposé le soir, pratique en cas d'arrivée tardive, mais avec une baisse de la qualité de la nourriture proposée. Le service est devenu désinvolte: le serveur ayant versé un quart de petit verre à vin (avec supplément de prix) en guise de 'verre', nous avons fait connaître notre désaccord et cela nous a valu sourcils levés au ciel et soupirs excédés, nous n'avons jamais vu un 'verre de vin' aussi ridicule et nous étions apparemment en tort. Dull and run-down. The breakfast is very good. The rest is mediocre for the price. It must have been a grand hotel at one time, but the lack of maintenance and modernization is embarrassing. Our experience: 1) The air conditioner was leaking water, so we had to use towels to contain it and prevent it from spreading throughout the room. We reported it, and maintenance came, but the problem was resolved. 2) It seems that the custom is to charge for the stay at check-in, and since the receptionist forgot to do so, they had no better idea than to disable our access to the room, which we discovered when we returned after midnight. 3) The furniture in the room was shabby. When I opened the closet, I was left holding the handle. 4) The terrace was very dirty, and on the second day, the chairs disappeared from it (?). 5) The friendliness of the staff was uneven: Some deserve a 10, others a 0. 6) The furniture in the lobby and common areas was disgusting, with all the stained upholstery. I would definitely NOT stay here again.

Marked down on service as a bit intrusive whilst eating breakfast hovering to remove plates as soon as finished eating. Asked for a teaspoon and unable to provide, however the bar staff were happy to accommodate the request. The bar was open until midnight (previous years struggled to get a drink at 23:30 onwards). Mentioned that the times stated using the QR code did not match the opening hours of the restaurant, reception staff helpful and assured this would be addressed. We were offered both indoor and outdoor pool but not given the code for outdoor pool, suggest this is on the Wi-Fi details given on check in. Room ready early. No problem with cashless as we prefer this but contradicts the deposit for the pool towel.

We had to switch rooms as first one was way out by the pool and derelict fountain that was empty. First room had hair on walls in bathroom and broken tile. Desk was good and found another room for us but initial check we found desk person was rude. Property was at one time incredible but lack of maintenance and upkeep shows. Not sure if any other hotels in area would be any different as city seems pretty depressed with lots of closed shops

One night stay before catching the Ceuta ferry. What a fantastic classic hotel, I was overwhelmed by the grand old building and the lovely interiors. Fire lit in the fireplace and a library ! Yes a library stocked with many books! Perhaps a little tired but packed with real charm, I really really enjoyed my stay here and will return.

Ich habe in Algericas eine Nacht verbracht auf der Reise von Tarifa nach Córdoba. Da ich mit dem Zug reise und das Hotel nur 10 Min zu Fuß vom Bahnhof entfernt ist habe ich gebucht. Das Zimner und das Bad waren sauber und geräumig. Im Restaurant habe ich ein tolles andalusisches Buffet gehabt inkl. Wein für 18 Euro. Der Pool ist Klasse und der Garten darum gepflegt. Kann das Hotel nur empfehlen

So first the good points. The outdoor pool is amazing with lots of sun loungers. The lifeguards though spend their whole time looking at their phones and ignoring the customers. The surrounding area is riddled with vagrants in the bushes so access to the hotel is closed off from all the main gates, meaning you can only access on foot using the vehicle entrance. But the main problem with the hotel is that the rooms are in need of serious upgrading and better maintenance. Here is a list of the issues I had in the room: Some lights not working in the bathroom and the bedroom. Noise from bathplug - constant gurgling noise. Narrow beds - not wide enough for an adult. Floodlights from outside window - had to wear an eye mask to block out the bright lights. Weak air-conditioning - the room was constantly warm and the Aircon made little difference. Only 1 plug in room - had to charge my laptop in the bathroom sink using the hairdryer plug! No hand soap or shower gel - had to use my own shower gel. Noise at night from the downstairs - my room was right above the reception. Had to use earplugs to sleep.

Trevligt o vackert hotell, rent o snyggt. Ligger relativt långt från de centrala delarna av staden. Finns ingen naturlig eller trevligt promenadväg till centrum. På detta mysiga hotellet ska man stanna kvar under hela din vistelse.

I stayed in Algeciras as a base for visiting Gibraltar. (Algeciras is not a destination I would otherwise have visited.) I obtained my room at this historic 4* hotel, set in its own parkland, at an unbelievably reasonable rate, cheaper than other 1* and 2* hotels in other cities in Andalusia, with the excellent breakfast included in the price. An equivalent hotel in Gibraltar itself would be three times the cost, so would recommend visitors wishing to see Gibraltar to stay here. An easy walk to the bus station where a local bus runs regularly to the border, taking around 40 minutes. Did not use the indoor or outdoor swimming pools. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and spacious, with the furniture giving it a period feel. Unfortunately, when I tried to hang my jacket in the wardrobe, the whole rail collapsed. The hangars were unable to take my jacket's weight. I had single occupancy of a twin room. There was no seat at the desk, with one easy chair the other side of the room. These two small problems are the only things needing improvement. Would stay again, as Algeciras is also a good base for visiting Tarifa.

This was a last minute booking after plans were changed and we needed a hotel closer to Tarifa. It is an older hotel but maintained. There is parking but they do charge which seems silly since they own the property where you park. The rooms were dated. There was only a food buffet available for 18 euros - options were many and actually food pretty good. The only negative, which is not the fault of the hotel, they had a bus load of young students staying and they decided to have a party two doors down until 2 am. I tried to reach the front to complain but did not get an answer. It was louder because we had our doors open to patio because the air was not working correctly - closed door and put on a sound machine to block the noise! Also it is an easy drive over to Gilbraltar!

The room was nice, definitely an older hotel, but kept up nice. The breakfast layout was really poor. One coffee machine and water machine side by side. People were lined up constantly and created traffic jams and ruined the flow of the buffet. This is the 2nd time I stayed at this hotel, it’s sad to see the same layout. Many tables were unable to get drinks because of it. We were unable to get coffee one morning because of the people jam near the machines. Set out premade coffee in carafes or something.

We went for evening buffet 18 euros each with large selection of food good breakfast. I stayed here ten years ago was good so I came back but I do think the rooms are looking tired would benefit from being modernised but I suppose hotel this size would cost a lot to do and long time to get money back . Great parking for cars and motorcycles aswell .

Rooms were clean, bathrooms were clean. Pool had hairs in it, expected sometimes. Both the gym and indoor pool were out of order, and the outdoor pool was only open until 8 pm. That doesn’t really allow tourist guests to enjoy the pool after a day of sightseeing, considering dinner doesn’t start until 7:30-8 pm in the area. Mattresses were basic but had nice comforters. Breakfast buffet was very good and the staff was EXTREMELY kind.
Rooms were clean, bathrooms were clean. Pool had hairs in it, expected sometimes. Both the gym and indoor pool were out of order, and the outdoor pool was only open until 8 pm. That doesn’t really allow tourist guests to enjoy the pool after a day of sightseeing, considering dinner doesn’t start until 7:30-8 pm in the area. Mattresses were basic but had nice comforters. Breakfast buffet was very good and the staff was EXTREMELY kind.

The parking was a joke, I was charged 40 euros for parkimg at the hotel, but every time I came back in the evening, I had to go round in circles to find a place to park. I had to leave my car any where there was the smallerst of space and hope for the best. A lot of noice, with banging doors what ever the time.
