Gentleman checking me in was excellent! However, the room and hotel were not. I felt like I was watching tv on my computer screen (32 inch). Entire place seemed dated , and the restaurant and lounge was closed. ( nothing mentioned when booked)

The hotel is ver small. We stayed for a cheer competition and decided to let my girls use the pool however when I came time to dry off there were towels. My husband went to front desk to ask and he said unfortunately that’s all they had. The resturant/bar was closed before 8pm. The attendant that was supposed to be at front desk was never there. I was looking for something I had dropped on my way up to my room the previous night but couldn’t find anyone to ask. Overall needs some updating not absolutely horrible but definitely could be better.

Overpriced. Had to go to the front desk because there were no towels and coffee in our room. Stayed 2 nights and our room was never serviced. Pool and hot tub broken. I would have voiced my disappointment to the front desk upon leaving but there was no one there.

I had to find someone for the front desk to check us in, so that was a little annoying. I’ve always stayed at HIE and loved the comfort, cleanliness and sheets/pillows. This one seemed to be a little less than what I am used to - and I stayed at this specific one 2 years ago. Sheets weren’t as nice and soft. The carpets in the hallways were very dirty with stains. Over easy, was perfect for just a little overnight stopover. But it also advertises a bar which hasn’t been open in the last two years (that I know). I don’t even know if there is a breakfast that advertises made to order also.

Staff were very kind and attentive. Building is old, outdated and the carpets were stained throughout. The bathroom was rusty, even the bottom of the tub had rust. The key cards never worked. We had to go multiple times to have them redone. The pool is small, but my child enjoyed it. The gym was nice and clean.

The staff is great. The elevators smelled like garbage for some reason. This location is a bit outdated and the website said it has a bar, but no liquor license so the websites should be updated. It wasnt terrible...it was a place to lay our heads.

Staff took good care of us --changed a burned out light bulb, replaced shower gel. No actual bar and restaurant even though on-line said so. They did offer a buffet breakfast for $9.99 per person. A/c worked but noisy. Aged building in need of carpet. Exactly what we expected.

An intriguing stay, with rust stains in the shower that looked like smeared fecal matter. To lowest possible water pressure I have ever experienced. The room also had a slight mildew smell. If this hotel wasn’t relatively cheap and centrally localized for our adventures across the country side. We have found other accommodations. I wouldn’t recommend this property nor will I ever staying there again.

Door keys did not work half the time, Did not have privacy window curtains waking up to the early sunlight every morning, mold stains on bathroom ceiling, skip cleaning days due to lack of help according to room service personnel, hallways carpet dirty stained and smelly.

Stayed 2 nights no room service, no batteries in remotes, carpet was filthy we are glad we brought plastic shoes , shower had mold in seams. Definitely have stayed in a super 8 that was a lot nicer. No we will never stay here when visiting family In Aurora again.

It was horrible. I found a bed bug in my room 325. And I saw a roach in the hallway. It was my first and last every staying there. I had 2 night but checked out early and checked in to the Hampton inn. That was a great place.

We had two nights midweek. Everything was ready. I thought i had specified 2 beds in my online reservation. They had a one bed room reserved but were able to change it immediately and apologized for the mix up. Everything was clean. Staff was very helpful and available. We would stat here again without a doubt.

Unfortunately, the hotel is very dirty. The door to our room was broken. The toilet was broken. The shower was barely working. It was quite terrible. The location is convenient for a commute on I-88. Our stay was 6 hours and we didn’t say anything about the issues since we were there to sleep a couple of hours and leave.

Online said breakfast started at 6am but started at 7am. Wasn’t able to get the breakfast I paid extra for because my event started at 7am. HDMI port didn’t work on tv had to figure out how to change ports.

This hotel was in a central location. We felt safe entering and exiting the building. We were disappointed that a simple breakfast was not included in the cost. We understand that smoking is legal in Illinois, but people entering the elevator just after smoking a joint was not pleasant. We were unable to adjust the temperature in our room and it was very warm.

The thermostat was not operating and it was cold the whole visit...66 degrees. There is no full length mirror...only mirror was bathroom. The lighting in the bathroom is inadequate. The bed was very good.

not one of our nices hotels we have stayed in, the toilet was broken, kept having to take the top part of flush it, couldnt really shower to wash my hair, barely any water coming out of the shower head,it either needed cleaned or replaced. we said something to the gentleman when we checked out but dought it got fixed. The airconditioner made loud noices when it was running. . The tv in the room is like a 25 inch tv, very small, so like i said cheap hotel so you get what you paid for

Checked in like normal, I was in town for my company holiday party so I went to it and did not come back to the hotel till about 1:30am, when we walked in no one was at the desk, we went to our room and the keys we were given on arrival did not work. I went back downstairs and waited there for about 10 mins yelling hello hoping someone would help. I looked all around and no one was around. I went back up and got my friend and she also came down to look around with me and yell. Eventually we when behind the counter and saw a note with my name that said I never checked in when that was wrong. 30 mins later someone just walks down and we were upset it’s past 2am and we can’t get into the room we paid for. Someone finally comes down and acts like she wasn’t missing for an hour. And starts blaming me that I never paid a deposit that I never checked and that’s why they don’t work. Also asked me why I never called that I was going to check in late? We were already checked in why would I need to tell you? She has also lied saying she had just been down there when that was false. She tried to tell me I had been staying in that room for 4 days when I had checked in today. It was ridiculous experience and felt unsafe and will be reaching out to managements.

Someone finally comes down and acts like she wasn’t missing for an hour. And starts blaming me that I never paid a deposit that I never checked and that’s why they don’t work. Also asked me why I never called that I was going to check in late? We were already checked in why would I need to tell you? She has also lied saying she had just been down there when that was false. She tried to tell me I had been staying in that room for 4 days when I had checked in today. It was ridiculous experience and felt unsafe and will be reaching out to managements.

Checked in at 3, left for about an hour. Returned, went to my room, it was not cleaned. The bed was not made. Went to front desk, was changed to another room. Then had issues with the TV, which when I tried to call from the hotel to the front desk, my phone was not working. I never have any issues at this hotel, I've stayed many times. This was a first, just a little disappointed. However, front desk has excellent customer service!

I arrived at 430 pm. Room wasn’t ready. Had ADA room. Desk man offered option of me using another room to change until ADA room was ready. Tim made sure 4 maids were sent to complete the cleanup. 15 mins I was in room. Desk man offered me soda and chair during my wait. Very kind. Hotel needs updates. Carpet is old and has holes. Walls need painting. Elevator needs updating.

My stay was okay. Room was okay, pretty clean, bed was okay. Worst part was checking out and needed to head to the airport. Myself & 3 others waited in the lobby for 10-15 min, and no one came. I left the card keys & a note at the desk and left.

This hotel was in a central location. We felt safe entering and exiting the building. We were disappointed that a simple breakfast was not included in the cost. We understand that smoking is legal in Illinois, but people entering the elevator just after smoking a joint was not pleasant. We were unable to adjust the temperature in our room and it was very warm.

My husband and I stayed the night for our daughter's softball game. Booked last minute and was very pleased. Front desk staff were friendly. Our room was very clean. The breakfast is worth paying for the update. If her team plays there again, we will look to stay here. Several places to eat

We had an accessible room. The carpet was disgusting near the bed; like someone had an accident. The shower had no way for an individual to use the shower without help. Even the shower head kept falling off the holder. Coffee and cups were not replenished I would have paid more to stay somewhere pleasant. The breakfast was not good. The coffee bar in the lobby was not available at all times. And although the website said there was a bar...they had no license so it wasn't functional. Room was old and tired.

This was my second stay at this location. The room was clean and comfortable, as expected. This time, I opted for the continental breakfast. Never again. Staff took good care of us --changed a burned out light bulb, replaced shower gel. No actual bar and restaurant even though on-line said so. They did offer a buffet breakfast for $9.99 per person. A/c worked but noisy. Aged building in need of carpet. Exactly what we expected.

Our four-night stay at Holiday Inn Aurora North–Naperville was one of the most frustrating hotel experiences we’ve had. We checked into Room 422 on Aug. 13, and the problems started immediately. Guests should not spend four days fighting to enter a room they’ve paid for. The room itself had additional problems: a stuck glass shower door, inadequate bathroom lighting with only one of two sconce lights working, and a broken fourth-floor ice machine. My wife actually had to use her ring light to properly see in the bathroom mirror. Then came the billing confusion. We had a $707.51 authorization followed by another $173.53 transaction, and employees gave us conflicting explanations about why it happened. One blamed different hotel rates; another blamed a server glitch. I recorded that conversation. We weren’t looking for luxury—just a functioning room, accurate billing, and basic hospitality. If you don’t want guests here, say so. There are other hotels nearby that make customers feel welcome.

The individual room was really clean and comfortable. The pillows and blanket were great. I had to stay in a room since our power had been out for days. I just wanted a good night sleep without sweating. What I needed I got. I will say however, when you first walk into the front door, there is a musty smell. Maybe all the heat and humidity didn't help, but it was pretty strong. My other issue was the shower. The shower head was awful and the water pressure was very low. The front desk guy was helpful and courteous when I checked in. Overall it was good. Mostly just needs better showers.
