Ok spot for a night. Very convenient off interstate. Stayed 2 separate times in one week, 2 different rooms. Room was decently cleaned, fresh bed linens. Great TV selections. Decent free breakfast, waffles, yogurt and fruit. However, both showers were kind of gross with some visible mold, and peeling paint, one worse than the other. Pool was closed and gross and an immediate eyesore at check in desk. Staff was friendly and helpful. Property needs a refresh.

No secure entrance Terrible location, didn’t feel safe, room needs updating, Smelly hotel reception, halls and room, NO WATER to shower in the morning, spoke to staff and was only offered a beverage from their cooler. Would not recommend not even for just one night!

My room's floor was dirty. The couch in the room had stains on it that smelled like dog pee. The hot faucet handle in the shower leaked when it was off and got worse during my shower. The shower had mold. Construction noise in the evening and the morning. The free breakfast was the bare minimum. There weren't gluten-free options, and I have Celiac. When I requested a one hour later check out I was directed to sign up and would've had to pay an extra $20/hour. I didn't sign up and figured something else out. However, the most significant aspect was that Sterling's prison was just down the road. Most doors that enter into a hotel have to be accessed with a room key, and then you can enter your room. The doors to the Super 8 Hotel in Sterling were not secure. Scary to say the least.

The staff were very nice. The outer doors do not lock. It was a bit dark around the building and close to a correctional facility. It appeared people had made this a permanent residance in some instances. The property was run down. I think the prices were high for what we got. No screens on the windows. We couldn't get an extra blanket because the maid took the keys to the laundry area home. The bedding was clean and so were the towels, toilet and tub. The pool is not going to be re-opened.

The hotel is updating the inside and the attendant was cordial, but the grounds left a lot to be desired. Vegetation was overgrown around grounds and parking lot was full of broken bottles and cigarette butts. Glad i arrived before dark because as a elderly female traveling by myself, i didn't feel safe. Pool was gross and no elevator.

Our non smoking room smelled like smoke and pet urine. The beds were comfortable but the bathroom ceiling had water damage and there was mold on the wall. The room's carpet was filthy and stained. In a corner of the room was reddish brown splatter stains on the ceiling and wall that looked a lot like dried blood. The air conditioner also appeared to be very dirty/moldy. When we checked in there was no one at the desk. A woman, who may have worked there?, called the front desk person on her cell phone and asked where she was. She was vacuuming the hallway elsewhere in the building because housekeeping didn't show up. We booked on expedia, as a pet friendly hotel. Ends up there is a 2 pet limit and both pets have to be under 16 lbs! There is also a $28/per pet fee. None of this was shown on expedia. They allowed our 2 large dogs to stay, and only charged for one pet.

We arrived and the lobby was filthy and uninviting. We went to our room and hall ways were filthy also. Our room looked like it hadn’t been swept, the chair was absolutely dirty and worn out. The bathroom didn’t look clean and the toilet paper roll was sitting in a box because there was no roller to put it on. The pillow were tiny and extremely soft, the bed was uncomfortable and the a/c was noisy. The people above us were extremely noisy and sounded like elephants walking! Which we know isn’t the hotels fault but it just added to how awful our stay was. Had we been staying more than 1 night, we would have cancelled and left. We will NEVER stay here again. DO BETTER!!!

I know that hotels in the 100 dollar range are not intended to be top tier, however, I was honestly disgusted with this property, it’s upkeep and most importantly the cleanliness. I normally am a very upbeat and talk about the positives kinda person, however, I have to warn others what they are going to encounter here. Rather than to expound on all the issues, the nail in the coffin for me was the massive roach that crawled across the floor in our room. After we squashed it, it still managed to flip itself over and try to get away.

The one plus is you had comfortable beds! Unfortunately, they were dirty under the beds. The bathroom had so much mildew that it was disgusting even to take a shower about a cheap one star hotel as you could get!

Hotel was dirty. The Lobby smelled of weed when we checked in. Our bathroom had mold in the tub, no fan in the bathroom and the sink wouldn't drain. The air conditioning worked well and the bed was comfortable.

Very dirty when entering to go to room. All that needed to be done was vacuum, but it wasn't cleaned the whole time we were there. Cleaning the ice buckets would be nice. I had to scrub the crud out of the lid of our ice bucket. Shower was kind of gross. Time for Super 8 to do a facelift on this one. I know it is more of a budget motel, but it still can be clean. Breakfast was kind of pitiful. Don't think we will stay at a Super 8 again.

Hotel room was old and the bed was awful king size bed that I couldn’t get out of the center of as it was so warm out I kept rolling to the pit in the middle. Not a very good night of sleep unfortunately.

The staff was great once we signed in. But when we got to the room 131 it didnt have a toilet to flush nor did the fridge . The plugs didnt work neither. We just wasnt happy

Horrible!!! There has been a construction and renovation going on the property. No one even bothered to let me know about it upfront. Horrible construction and pounding on the walls from 800am till 5 pm during the hours . There is no way to sleep and rest during daytime especially if you work nights. The hotel should not be even open during construction process. Let alone charging money for regular price. It should be closed or 1/2 price and the staff has to let people know about the constant construction and noise during the stay.

This hotel was only 4 minutes from my destination so I stayed here 5 nights. I reserved a double bed room online but they only had a single bedroom when I arrived, which they still charged me the same price for. It says non-smoking, but it reeked of cigarettes in my room and there was a burn hole in my blanket on the bed. The first night, first responders had to break into the room across the hall from me and drag someone out intoxicated. I could hear everything because the walls are like paper and there are gaps inbetween the door and the doorjam large enough to let actual light in. The dingey looking little pool and hot tub haven't been operating in at least a year judging by the amount of dirt accumulated in them. Most of the front desk staff were rude. It was cheap, and close, but not convenient if you're going for peace and quiet and cleanliness. But you get what you pay for I guess.

Checking staff was very friendly! There was plenty of parking, but no cameras on the back side (our vehicles were perfectly fine). The breakfast service was outstanding! As soon as something was depleted it was filled immediately! Definitely a highlight to have a hot, nicely staffed breakfast!

The staff was very unprofessional upon our entrance. They were discussing issues in front of us and we had to wait for them to finish their conversation. For the price of a room that I paid for, im extremely disappointed. When we arrived, we sat around waiting for someone to show up and check us in for almost 20 minutes - she ended up walking from another hotel nearby, didn’t apologize for having us wait or anything. Although she was extremely nice, I would have appreciated an apology since we had been driving all day and were ready to relax. Our room overall looked decently clean….. until we noticed dead bugs in the corners of the room and bathroom. I had my 1 year old with me and to keep him distracted from getting to these bugs, we had to block off corners with our luggage and shut the bathroom door. On top of the fact that our toilet did not flush one bit, we had to be careful how we used the toilet and what we did in it. We couldn’t put any toilet paper in it so obviously we put it in the trash can. Then we were up and down all night because the person above us just kept walking around the whole time keeping us awake.

The front desk person Doug was not even in the motel when we arrived. 09-3-24 we heard he was the mgr. Waited 10 min. The room was dirty floors. I would not take my shoes off. same nite we asked for more towels about 6 pm. He Doug came with towels about 9;30pm. I was going to take a shower and a cockroach came in under the door.we layed towels on the floor before our shower. Yucky dirty floors. The property is in a state of being renovated/updated as posted on their website. I did not have expectations of a flawlessly clean place - have you ever had a contractor in your house? Our AC fan would not kick on, and the staff immediately moved us to a room with a working fan. I have no complaints!

Was greeted by a staff member ranting about how bad the company was and that it didn't care about employees. Was given a 1st floor room on back of hotel next to off ramp of the interstate. Was woken by semi jake brakes and loud rap music being played in the parking lot. Middle if the night there was a fight in the parking lot outside my window. Room was in bad shape. Paint was missing holea in the drywall were patched with duct tape, coffee maker spewed coffee out the filtwr all over the counter. Door barely shut. Pool was out of order. Back door of building didn't shut. Water was pouring onto sidewalk from ac unit. The sidewalk was green from the drainage.

Other than the empty pop can on the balcony that was blown around and kept bouncing off the glass door that can't be opened, in the high winds. The stay was good. Breakfast was good. Right off I 25 so there is noise. Will stay again.

No secure entrance Terrible location, didn’t feel safe, room needs updating, Smelly hotel reception, halls and room, NO WATER to shower in the morning, spoke to staff and was only offered a beverage from their cooler. Would not recommend not even for just one night!

I have stayed in several hotels in Sterling. The super 8 may not be posh, but it is quiet and comfortable, and budget friendly. The room itself was clean, but the sitting chair was quite dirty, so I covered it with the towel before sitting on it. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The surrounding neighborhood is a little sketchy, but I did not feel unsafe. The handicap bar in front of tub was difficult to maneuver around to turn on the shower. I think it has been put installed in the wrong spot.

It appeared people had made this a permanent residance in some instances. The property was run down. I think the prices were high for what we got. No screens on the windows. We couldn't get an extra blanket because the maid took the keys to the laundry area home. The bedding was clean and so were the towels, toilet and tub. The pool is not going to be re-opened.

Checking staff was very friendly! There was plenty of parking, but no cameras on the back side (our vehicles were perfectly fine). The breakfast service was outstanding! As soon as something was depleted it was filled immediately! Definitely a highlight to have a hot, nicely staffed breakfast!

It was the dirtiest super 8 I have been to. The night shift man was friendly but not the lady that was working day shift. I will not stay there again. The pool was not available and the breakfast was horrible. Very disappointed overall.

My room's floor was dirty. The couch in the room had stains on it that smelled like dog pee. The hot faucet handle in the shower leaked when it was off and got worse during my shower. The shower had mold. Construction noise in the evening and the morning. The free breakfast was the bare minimum. There weren't gluten-free options, and I have Celiac. When I requested a one hour later check out I was directed to sign up and would've had to pay an extra $20/hour. I didn't sign up and figured something else out. However, the most significant aspect was that Sterling's prison was just down the road. Most doors that enter into a hotel have to be accessed with a room key, and then you can enter your room. The doors to the Super 8 Hotel in Sterling were not secure. Scary to say the least.

This is an older hotel, but the room was clean and beds comfortable. Bathtub was badly stained, as was some of the carpet. Breakfast was slim pickings. The outer doors were not secured against non-guests, which is concerning.

Complimentary "light breakfast" is very lacking. There is no protein source that's not full of sugar, the only protein is orignal yoplait yogurt. There is no fresh fruit either.

The pool was closed. We really wanted a swim so were disappointed. The breakfast was basic, no eggs, not much for protein and the breakfast room was cold. I went back ti my room for a jacket. Beds were comfortable and the shower had good pressure and plenty of hot water.

Smelled like pot when we walked in to the hall way to go to ourroom. But it is Colorado. The room was ok. The toilet wasn't the best. Had to flush a few times to get everything to go down. Breakfast was ok also. Not like a hot breakfast hotel. We were just there for 1 night . The check in staff was great!!!

Checkin staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was made for 2 beds but only one in room. Several of the outlets didn’t work, hair dryer didn’t work, no place to hang clothes. The room felt sterile. Will not stay there again.
