The hotel was really nice. The staff was very helpful and kind. The facility was clean and very family clean environmental. The gym was clean and didnt smell. The pool area was clean and warm. Very nice hotel!

This hotel didn't really have any special amenities I've come to expect from Hampton Inn; the room felt bland and sterile and was not as comfortable or large as I would have liked at that price point. Breakfast was fine and the pool looked nice, but no hot tub is a bummer. The area is lovely as long as the wind is blowing the right direction!

The breakfast was fresh and plentiful. The staff was professional and hard-working. Our room met our high standards for cleanliness. Parking was easy. I was able to park directly in front of the lobby entrance.

Chump I mean Champ Patel the owner is discriminatory in addition his staff is unprofessional, uneducated and does not follow there own policy, I made this reservation MONTHS in advance called spoke to an employee the week before addressing my needs and concerns was assured everything was accommodating. Checked in after a long day at 8pm. Went to the room, then was in the pool area within 15 mins. Mind you the hotel was about 1/4 capacity and no one in the pool area. Within 20 mins front desk came down and instructed us the pool closed by 10-10:30 no issues. By 9:15 she came back down and said the owner would like us to leave. Confused I asked for the owner to come speak to me and she refused stating she would have to call the police. Citing others in my party did not have appropriate attire on. Boys/Men in shorts swimming. 2ndly she stated people had drinks in the pool. The pool was empty. There is a patio area outside where there was waters and gatorades none in the pool.

My fiancé and I stayed 1 night here on Christmas Eve while visiting family. The hotel in general as well as our room appeared very clean and had a pleasant ambiance. The bed was also comfortable. We did not use these facilities, but the hotel also has a gym and a heated indoor pool.

Being pet friendly has its downside. Our room had a definite pet urine odor. The elevator door was missing the usual rubber bumper. As a result, the door closed very loudly, which caused us to have to move from our original room (king bed) to a double queen room further from the elevator. We'll not be staying there again.

I travel a lot and usually stay at Hampton Inns. This was a great location right off I-64. Non smoking room smelled like smoke and overall had a bad odor. I was going to stay another night but could not take the musty odor. Staff was great. Pretty area.

Good breakfast. Great air conditioning in room (somewhat loud but helped with sleeping- white noise). Audrey at check in was helpful. Our second floor room was very humid. My son saw a couple ants when we came in and they were more prevalent in the morning. Small hole in the wall- cosmetic concern more than anything. Bed was comfy- pillows were not so much. Slept fine though. Bathroom was very clean and spacious

We checked into our room only to walk into our room and it smelled like dog. We went into the bathroom and it had pubic hair on the toliet seat. I had to go down downstairs to see if they had lysol wipes in order to clean it. The lady at the front desk couldn't find anything but did find some cleaning spray and a couple wash cloths to give me. It took her about 10 minutes to find something. We wanted to unpack our cooler and put our water in the refrigerator so that they would be cold for the next day but the refrigerator didn't work. We went for breakfast the next day and they were not refilling the items so everything was limited plus my daughter found a black hair in her sausage. It truly was not worth the $318.00 I paid for the night.

The reason why I stay at this hotel is because is the nicest in the area. I have stayed at this location several times but this time I have to say it will be my last time. At the beginning we didn’t notice anything because as soon as we got in the room we basically put our bags and head out to be with family. Once we finally got back from our day we got to our room and they were bugs crawling on the walls. It was very late in the night so we just waited until the next day to let front desk know. Since we only stayed one night we let the front desk know at check out. The lady at front desk was very unfriendly and very defensive. We were letting her know about the bugs in the room which she replied “ That’s very normal around this season and there’s nothing I can do about that “. Which I replied “ So you guys can’t spray?” She then changed her attitude and apologized for the inconvenience. But honestly, too little too late. If you want to stay in a place with bugs around this time of the year, this is your place.

While the rolling barn doors are cool, it is imperative that they are hung level. Having the door to the bathroom continuously roll open with no way to latch it in place was a bit awkward. Other than that a very good room. Very clean and orderly. The staff was very courteous. The coffee was fantastic.

Horribly loud, all night could hear doors slamming and things being moved or thrown around from different rooms. It’s obvious this hotel is poorly built and maintained. No sound dampening measures at all. Hair on the bathroom sink. Hotel is becoming run down. I have NEVER stayed at such a poor Hampton Inn in my life. I only stay at Hampton, but no more. Will only BNB in the future.

Convenient to Covington and Clifton Forge. Immediate area not walkable but many nearby outdoor activity spots available by car. Property was spotless inside and out. Breakfast room was inviting, staff were friendly. Only one complaint: the bathroom had a sliding “barn door” that provided no privacy because of a 2 inch surrounding gap. Might as well leave the door off.

Overall, not a bad place to stay. Room was clean and staff very friendly. There is a convenience store walking distance if you need something. Only concern I have is the noise from interstate which is very close. This isn't the motel's fault. I stayed for 3 nights for a conference I was attending in Clifton Forge. By my 3rd night, I was use to the traffic and slept very well. Interesting enough, several others in the conference were were also staying here. The breakfast area was large for us to enjoy some fellowship before we headed over. The breakfast was decent also. I would stay again at this location.

We got there early because we had a dinner party that evening and the wonderful guy at the front desk went ahead and let us check in, so we were able to rest, shower and get ready without stress. Very nice!

The Hampton Inn is nice. However, the town has nothing to it. No restaurants. There isn't even a Dunkin' donuts or coffee place nearby.

Convenient to Covington and Clifton Forge. Immediate area not walkable but many nearby outdoor activity spots available by car. Property was spotless inside and out. Breakfast room was inviting, staff were friendly. Only one complaint: the bathroom had a sliding “barn door” that provided no privacy because of a 2 inch surrounding gap. Might as well leave the door off.

Overall, not a bad place to stay. Room was clean and staff very friendly. There is a convenience store walking distance if you need something. Only concern I have is the noise from interstate which is very close. This isn't the motel's fault. I stayed for 3 nights for a conference I was attending in Clifton Forge. By my 3rd night, I was use to the traffic and slept very well. Interesting enough, several others in the conference were were also staying here. The breakfast area was large for us to enjoy some fellowship before we headed over. The breakfast was decent also. I would stay again at this location.

Door to room had to kicked to close all the way! Breakfast waffle machine wasn’t working properly and two should have been available, not one. Room was clean but had a weird smell. Most likely would not recommend or return.

We checked into our room only to walk into our room and it smelled like dog. We went into the bathroom and it had pubic hair on the toliet seat. I had to go down downstairs to see if they had lysol wipes in order to clean it. The lady at the front desk couldn't find anything but did find some cleaning spray and a couple wash cloths to give me. It took her about 10 minutes to find something. We wanted to unpack our cooler and put our water in the refrigerator so that they would be cold for the next day but the refrigerator didn't work. We went for breakfast the next day and they were not refilling the items so everything was limited plus my daughter found a black hair in her sausage. It truly was not worth the $318.00 I paid for the night.

From the day we checked in until the day we checked out everything was great. Rebecca checked us in and she was very nice and friendly and helpful, the entire staff were also very polite and friendly. The room was very clean and the breakfast was delicious. We have no complaints at all, we will definitely be staying at this Hampton Inn in Covington, VA as we have family in the area.

We checked into this location after we had to leave our other location due to a gas leak. While the price was a lot higher, we paid for what we got. We would stay here again. Rooms were nice. Clean. Easy to get in and out.
