Holiday Lodge - Greensboro/Lake Oconee

I have no words. I am someone who does not mind a hotel that isn’t fancy but this was lower than the worst!!! From the outside it looks charming but when you walk in!! First you are hit with a stench! They automatically take your payment so you cannot leave to go somewhere else. Then you go in… when I say it should be condemned!!!! The back door is broken so it is not a secure place at all. There are broken refrigerators as well as a treadmill laying in the hall beneath the stairway. Definitely not pleasing to the eye at all. The carpet in the hall probably has never been cleaned and the horrific paint job looks like housekeeping did it. When I walked into that room.. my heart just sank. It was disturbing to say the least. My partner and I immediately went to the store to grab cleaning supplies so that we could be able to use that horrible bathroom!!! Beware!! The bedding was thin and dingy. Oh, make sure when you check out to return the remote control to the tv! What kind of mess is that? Better bring your own iron, blowdryer and whatever else you may need because this place has zero amenities!

Nothing to write home about but the staff were all great. The lobby is very pretty and the outside of the hotel was beautiful. Inside was worn from time in general and lack of paint and repair work throughout but the staff was quiet and very enjoyable.

Old hotel.

Old, old, OLD and smells like cigarettes. No public restroom at check-in so if you're checking in, take a leak in the parking lot before you go in.

This property is old and outdated. The bathrooms need upgrading, the carpet needs to be replaced, the ice machine needs to be larger. The towels are paper thin and rough, but the bed linen was okay.
