It is right next to the funicular. Also, next to a couple of walking and hiking paths. Upstairs, there is a sitting area where you can sit with family and enjoy a bottle of wine or a game of cards…. And the staff is very friendly.

The Parador was outstanding in every way. We had all meals in the hotel restaurant. Picked up a delicious picnic lunch for a day of high alpine trekking. Our room had an enclosed balcony with stunning views of the picos.

We stay at Parador Fuente De on our visit to Picos de Europa. Excellent staff, beautiful property, spacious room and bathroom, clean, convenient Restaurant and cafeteria in the propwery, great breakfast and a view to die for! Overall, excellent experience.

Great location at base of mountains, right by entrance to cablecar to mountain top. Great for walkers . Restaurant menu possibly a little limited for British visitors but good snack options in bar area. Breakfast good- especially if you like wine with your croissants!

Incredibly dramatic setting. Beautiful wood panelled bedrooms and several elegant and comfortable guest sitting rooms I would have liked a kettle in the room. The buffet breakfast was apparently excellent, according to our friends who had it We had a lovely, fairly pricey evening meal.

Great parking. Scenic location. Warm rooms.Charming period style room with excellent mountain view sun room balcony. Well maintained & clean. But...difficult luggage access. Requiring both lift and stair access. Reception staff came to room to guide and offered help though. No kettle,cups or tea coffee facilities. Unwanted mini bar though. Restaurant severely limited tables so strict booking time for dinner and breakfast were required or would not be available. Unclear on what was included on our half bord deal. Restaurant staff did their best enthusiastically but not enough of them per guest numbers so overwhelmed at times leading to poor attention particularly at breakfast. "Gourmet" ( pay extra!) dinner options very poorly cooked first night but OK second night. Chef certainly not luxury parador standard as expected. Bar very small & crammed with overspill diners who couldn\'t get restaurant bookings. So it was difficult to get served. The hotel is wonderful in every way. The views outside my window were alone worth the visit! It is truly a breathtaking place. But the hotel itself is wonderful: clean, very well appointed, with large rooms and bathrooms, and comfortable beds. It is elegant but not over the top. The staff provides great service. The menu was also excellent, even if the breakfast choices were not extraordinary. I highly recommend it. It is a long drive to get to this hotel, but the views are astonishing, making the drive a beautiful adventure. If you can come on a motorcycle, even better! The roads are just perfect for riding in spring, summer or early fall.

Great place and views and food. Some reception staff, not all, seemed to resent questions, even though we are Spanish speakers. Carpets are terribly stained for such a nice place. Restaurant staff were great. We would stay again.

We had a gorgeous view of the mountains. When I opened our window, I could hear the sounds of a small waterfall, and the chimes of the bells on the flock of sheep grazing at the foot of the mountain. It was idyllic.

Very nice Parador in the mountains. We got room with balcony and it was beautiful, large room and bathroom, comfortable bed, great service at restaurant and breakfast room. The girls at the reception also very nice and attentive. Great place in general, we had a wonderful time.

Staff in dining area over streched Food, same menu every day, not good. Not enough options. Toilet area smells of vinager this is because your pipework underneath has mildew/damp under toilet. Not good.

Very good couple of nights but few things we didn’t like namely having to book a time slot for breakfast also the breakfast service needs better organisation. Despite having time slots presumably to manage demand crockery particularly cereal bowls were often unavailable and there was no hot food ( bacon or eggs ) for self service on the buffet but all cooked to order which took a while . Finally the coffee in pots given to each table was lukewarm and tasteless .

El entorno es espectacular, el lugar también es muy bonito. Lo que no me gusto fue la recepcionista, una señora de cabello oscuro por los hombros, creo que era la encargada. muy soberbia desde que llegamos, no me gusto el servicio al cliente por parte de esta mujer. Al irnos me sentí ofendido por la forma que nos trató solamente porque le dijimos que no desayunamos y tuvo que modificar la factura. Creo que se paga lo suficiente en ese lugar para que el trato sea cortés y no tan mal encarada, de verdad dudo que vuelva a ir.

What a lovely stay in a paradore, such a wonderful location, staff all lovely and helpful, the breakfast was superb everything you could want. The room was lovely and spacious and bathroom big, thank you FUENTE de for making our stay memorable.

Great parking. Scenic location. Warm rooms.Charming period style room with excellent mountain view sun room balcony. Well maintained & clean. But...difficult luggage access. Requiring both lift and stair access. Reception staff came to room to guide and offered help though. No kettle,cups or tea coffee facilities. Unwanted mini bar though. Restaurant severely limited tables so strict booking time for dinner and breakfast were required or would not be available. Unclear on what was included on our half bord deal. Restaurant staff did their best enthusiastically but not enough of them per guest numbers so overwhelmed at times leading to poor attention particularly at breakfast. "Gourmet" ( pay extra!) dinner options very poorly cooked first night but OK second night. Chef certainly not luxury parador standard as expected. Bar very small & crammed with overspill diners who couldn\'t get restaurant bookings. So it was difficult to get served. We retreated to the huge guest sitting room which had zero atmosphere or facilities. Tables were full of used glasses, etc. from pre dinner drinkers. Very poor standard. We sat in bedroom with no after dinner refreshment.

It is right next to the funicular. Also, next to a couple of walking and hiking paths. Upstairs, there is a sitting area where you can sit with family and enjoy a bottle of wine or a game of cards…. And the staff is very friendly.

The Parador was outstanding in every way. We had all meals in the hotel restaurant. Picked up a delicious picnic lunch for a day of high alpine trekking. Our room had an enclosed balcony with stunning views of the picos.

What a phenomenal location! Beautiful hotel at the foot of the Picos de Europa, steps from the cable cars! Clean, quiet, charming, family friendly. Worth the drive to get here, next time we will stay longer!

The location is spectacular, room is huge with a beautiful view. Unfortunately the funicular was not working due to some technical issues!! big disappointment. We did half board. The dinner was HORRIBLE-almost inedible with poor options. Breakfast was good, however.

Staff in dining area over streched Food, same menu every day, not good. Not enough options. Toilet area smells of vinager this is because your pipework underneath has mildew/damp under toilet. Not good.

Very good couple of nights but few things we didn’t like namely having to book a time slot for breakfast also the breakfast service needs better organisation. Despite having time slots presumably to manage demand crockery particularly cereal bowls were often unavailable and there was no hot food ( bacon or eggs ) for self service on the buffet but all cooked to order which took a while . Finally the coffee in pots given to each table was lukewarm and tasteless .

Lovely rooms, fabulous setting but service mixed. Dinner expensive for what it was and bizarre system of service where all bookings ar for 8.30 pm and so half the room (it’s big) sitting waiting to order while the rest already have their food. Breakfast at 19 euros is very expensive but not really other options. Again, service slow although staff friendly.

Hotel is in a great location adjacent to the cable car base station. Car parking is good on site with easy access. Staff were helpful at check in although no help evident in transporting bags from the car park which was some distance from reception. We checked in at 6.00pm and were told the dining room/restaurant had no further space that evening but we could eat in the cafe/bar (which had a different menu offering). We were pleased with the service in the cafe/bar with staff working hard to satisfy guests and indeed there was little formality in the dining room so we didn’t feel disadvantaged other than menu choice available in the cafe. Would recommend others book ahead with reception if the dining room experience for dinner is desired on day of arrival. Our room was at the back of the hotel and had no view other than over a service area which was disappointing. The room was clean and adequate but bland in decor and fittings. Insulation between floors is inadequate to mask noise transference. So early rising was the order of the day. Breakfast was buffet style and timing of attendance slot had to be pre-booked at check in. Staff at breakfast were helpful but there was evident crowding at the buffet selection areas as many guests arrived at the same time. Overall we were pleased we only booked one night as this hotel fell significantly short of our expectations of a Parador stay.
