The Island Retreat

Perfect for our large family. Spacious and comfortable for all. Beautiful outdoor area and large kitchen. We absolutely loved it!

It's a great getaway. We loved the big kitchen and the outdoor area which suited our big group perfectly. This was the first time for us staying at Kooringal right next-door to the Gutter bar. Very convenient and fun. On that side of Moreton Island though you are bound by the tides, and you will have to plan your daytrips carefully. We did have an issue with the bore water being very smelly and brown. The smell was definitely not for the faint hearted. There was no rainwater left. We stayed during peak season though, so this could all have been used by previous large groups during the Christmas period and there hasn't been a lot of rainfall during this holiday either. We might've just been unlucky. Overall great place

Excellent set up, great outdoor area.

I like the location of the property, quiet and remote. It was very cozy and a nice house.

Need to fix the roof in the king bed room, luckily we had a great weather. Extra toilet for the bunk beds room would be great. Love the out door place.
