Good location and great access to the beach and Alvor town. We had a great weekend away, but for the money we paid the property was quite tired, old and needing some renovations. The food was good (at the bar - buffet was underwhelming). Free car parking and WiFi appreciated.

The hotel did not fully meet our expectations for a 5-star property, and the tennis court is in very poor condition. We also booked a sea view room, but the view consisted of approximately 20% sea and 80% a large tree, which was disappointing. We do not recommend purchasing the brunch package, as the breakfast selection is very limited and uninspiring. A rental car is essential, as it is difficult to get anywhere outside the hotel without one. Overall, our stay was pleasant, and we appreciated being allowed to check in early and check out later than the standard time. However, for a 5-star hotel, the experience fell short of our expectations in several areas. The rooms were cleaned daily, but the bed linen was not changed during our stay. We also tried on several occasions to contact the reception to arrange a massage, but were unable to reach them. In general, the reception staff often seemed disorganized and difficult to reach. We had booked a sea view room, but the actual view was mostly blocked by a large tree. While a small portion of the sea was visible, it was far from what we expected when paying extra for a sea view. The woman working at the cashier desk (restaurant) was extremely rude and unpleasant to deal with, which negatively impacted our experience. The waiters were friendly and welcoming. The overall service, facilities, and breakfast offering did not reflect the standards we would expect from a 5-star hotel.

Do not reccomend. A/C unit leaked onto my suitcase during my stay, ruining some of my clothes and have still not had any resolution from management. Hotel in general is quite dated, although location is amazing. Also spoke to another lady at check out who said there were ants all over her room. Would not stay here again.
