This is a fantastic property with great service, great food and a great location (close to the marina - 10 mins away). It was busy during the day, but nice and quiet at night. There are 3 restaurants which have different variations of food and there are so many choices for food to eat. The property itself has 4 pools and 2 hot tubs. I would highly recommend this property.

This property is Very clean! I love that the pools always were amazingly clean. Service at the pools was very quick. Food at the restaurant was very good. Overall I was impressed.

The private beach was amazing, it was a short walk into town and around the boardwalk. Loved the balance between privacy of our resort and proximity to town. The only disappointing part is the relentless timeshare pitching the first couple days.

This was the perfect vacation destination for our family of four-with a tween and teen. We booked the one bedroom room so we had our own very spacious area and balcony and my teens had their area with balcony and got the pull out couch bed and my 12 year old slept on the pull out twin we didn’t even know was included! I was stressing about getting a rollaway, which are limited, so this was a huge relief. I would definitely list this in your room descriptions. I was also surprised that the room had two full bathrooms – I thought we’d be sharing one. The kitchen was full size and had everything you could need. We stopped at the grocery store on the way from the airport so we had breakfast snacks and some lunches in the room. Perfect for kids who don’t eat much or picky eaters/dietary restrictions. You can still order room service as needed, and of course, eat poolside and in the restaurants there’s also a little grocery store at the resort which I didn’t know about, definitely cheaper to stop on the way. Service was great! Everyone was friendly and kind. The Mexican fiesta was definitely worth it on Monday. The food was amazing and we loved the cultural dances and music. Sunsets on the private beach were also one of the highlights. We could also walk easily to the marina – but honestly opted to stay at the resort. Only complaint was that the mini golf was extra $ (tiny but fun course) and half the resort was under construction. The noise was LOUD at times, but not consistent.

Like always the property was wonderful. The only down side right now is the ongoing renovations. I am happy to see them improving the resort but it did impact my ability to relax poolside.

Took my daughter on vacation. Decided on this place compared to similar all-inclusive properties as there was no way we would eat and drink the extra $600-$800. Got a free upgrade which was nice. The one bedroom, ocean view came with 2 showers which was great. Had a few pools, one being adult only. The fitness center was good with plenty of machines and free weights. Walk right out onto the beach, but current is too strong to swim there. Area was very walkable. Right across from the marina for water tours and shops and restaurants. The Mt Solmar hike was right around the corner from the entrance. Rooms are a little dated but they are remodeling. Construction didnt affect getting around the property and the noise was minimal during the day. Only ate at the inside restaurant. Breakfast was good. The rest of the food was a little underwhelming. It is a resort with a sister property that they will try to set up a presentation for. And all of the employees were great. Always smiled and said hello. Eager to answer any questions or concerns.

The property is gorgeous. It’s very clean, comfortable and friendly. The only downside is that it is not user friendly for older people. There are many staircases with marble steps and no handrails. Also the steps are steep and narrow. The walkways are also very steep. The property is built on the side of a hill so going to beach is easy coming back…not so much. I recommend it if you are in good shape and it’s easy to walk up hills etc.

Terrible experience! This property has been under construction since May but they say nothing of this when booking. The main pool areas are directly under the construction with noise so loud it’s wild and construction dust flying everywhere. We were in the very back of the hotel (15 min walk) where we had another small pool since we were with our kids. We brought our concerns to the managers and they would send us in circles avoiding getting us some type of refund for our vacation in a construction zone. Super disappointed as this was not at 5k experience by any means. Tell people what they are signing up for!

Not up to par in the cleanliness department in our room! The bathroom shower had mold all over it! And the smell of mold and the amount of condensation in the room was unbearable. The AC unit made an awful noise that was so loud it interrupted my sleep. Celebrating 28 years with my husband and honestly would have been more comfortable in our own home.

We stayed here for our anniversary, we had to check out early. The room was filthy, extremely dirty. Women’s nails clippings all over the floor, hair in the bathroom, the bed sheets were dirty. Horrible experience, we checkout at 10pm to stay at another hotel.

We were disappointed with our room overlooking the marina as it was loud (clubs at night, seals and dogs barking, and lots of traffic noise). We preferred the pacific view room we had the last time. The resort and amenities are beautiful and the staff are very friendly. We love the location with lots of things to do within walking distance. Wish we could swim in the ocean, but the sound of the waves crashing and beautiful sunsets made up for it. We’d stay here again but only if we were guaranteed a room on the Pacific side.
We were disappointed with our room overlooking the marina as it was loud (clubs at night, seals and dogs barking, and lots of traffic noise). We preferred the pacific view room we had the last time. The resort and amenities are beautiful and the staff are very friendly. We love the location with lots of things to do within walking distance. This is a lovely, fun resort...beautiful design with many pools, flower gardens and great food and drinks, super personnel. Handicapped should be aware that this is hilly and there are paved pathways if you can't manage the many stairs with no railings. Also most rooms only have a shower in a 2 foot deep Jacuzzi that you access by climbing two marble steps up and then stepping down 2 feet into tub (no steps down)..not easy or safe. Request the room with a walk-in shower. FYI, you can rent a scooter from Mexico Mobility if you need one. I wish the front desk had told me that when I checked in. But, I had a wonderful time and would come again

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Playa Grande! We were 10 minutes from the marina. The staff activities food were all wonderful! Our room was lovely and we had a spectacular view of the ocean!

This was our second time staying at the Playa Grande in the past 4 months. And we came back because of how much we enjoyed our first stay in March. From the beautiful drive in, the lobby, the rooms and the grounds, its just very well run and taken care of. Some will say it seems a bit dated (maybe early 2000's?), its still very tasteful, classy and looks good to us. We were just there, and it seems that several of the buildings are being refreshed in phases too. Aside from the buildings, the staff (especially the pool side event and serving staff), are amazing. Friendly, enthusiastic, helpful and willing to answer any questions. The event staff deserve a special shout-out (Eduardo, Rodrigo, Amy, Jair,....) go out of their way to increase the fun factor in and around the pools. They are inclusive to all skill, athletic and knowledge types, and try to learn your names as quickly as possible. We are already looking forward to going back!

Very nice room in a beautiful resort. We never ate there so can’t comment on that. The concierge service was helpful in arranging our airport transportation. Beautiful beach but not safe for swimming. Easy walk to downtown and marina.

Been to the Playa Grande many times. This trip we were placed in 3 rooms at The Ridge instead of in the Playa Grande. The rooms at the Ridge are very nice, however the rooms faced the Marina and the roof top bars in the area played music loudly until 1-2 AM making sleeping difficult. The staff was very helpful in moving two of the rooms back down to the Playa Grande toward the beach. But they were not able to move the third room.
Been to the Playa Grande many times. This trip we were placed in 3 rooms at The Ridge instead of in the Playa Grande. The rooms at the Ridge are very nice, however the rooms faced the Marina and the roof top bars in the area played music loudly until 1-2 AM making sleeping difficult. The staff was very helpful in moving two of the rooms back down to the Playa Grande toward the beach. But they were not able to move the third room.

The check-in process was a setup for the concierge. They told us that our room would not be ready for about 45 minutes. We stepped aside to discuss what to do when the concierge approached us and asked if we would like to discuss activities. The discussion included a timeshare tour. When I asked if it was a timeshare tour, he said “no”. Long story short is that it was. We were at the door of our room a few minutes before it was supposed to be “ready”. The key card did not initially work. Then right at the designated time, we heard the door lock click. The key card then worked. In short, the room was ready when we checked in. They delayed us from going to the room to give the concierge time to get us into their timeshare tour.

I love this hotel. The staff is phenomenal, the rooms are terrific. They treat you like royalty every time you arrive. I’ve probably stayed in 20 hotels in Cabo San Lucas and I keep coming back to this one because they are so great.

Property was lovely. Super well-maintained and lots of staff who were always available to help. Hector at the front desk was so courteous and responsive. Christopher and Perla at the Concierge desk went out of their way to help us transition to another hotel. Despite the great service, we gave a lower rating for staff due to treatment at the pool/beach chairs. We are an older African American couple. On two days during our stay we paid $85 per day to rent a cabana. On both occasions hotel staff asked us repeatedly to prove that we had paid for the cabana, while other guests moved freely from one cabana to another to avoid the sun. We also overhead them asking another African American woman at the cabana next us to confirm that she had paid. We asked several other guests near us how much they had paid for the cabana and none of them had paid anything. We asked if they had been asked by the wait staff if they had rented the cabana and they said no and that they did not really enforce the payment policy. We always try to assume the best of people and their intentions and are never quick to jump to race as an explanation. However, this treatment made us feel badly. As a result, we do not see ourselves ever returning to your property.

The hotel was beautiful and immaculate and it was lovely being so close to the city but not having any of the noise. The hotels beach on the Pacific was quiet and clean. The food was excellent. I can't think of anything to complain about.

We check-in easy. Even got upgrade to a luxury unit which was a big plus and nice surprise. Resort is very large. be ready to walk. The view is amazing, with the Marina. Room was very comfortable and well furnished and maintained with daily housekeeping. The food was a bit expensive. If you dont buy the all inclusive, no worries But there's a lot of options with nearby restaurants . We'll be back in the near future here

The resort offers a beautiful setting with numerous poolside activities. The beach is exceptionally well-maintained. The morning buffet is delightful, and the rooms are spacious with excellent service. It is conveniently located within a short walk to the marina. I have made wonderful memories and look forward to returning.

Overall, a very nice property with a few exceptions. Very low quality televisions in our suite. Surprising for a high-end resort. Lamps in suite beaten up and in poor working condition. Got food poisoning yesterday morning at the Playa Grande’s Calima restaurant. Pretty much ruined our last day on property. Spa services below par in quality, particularly staff attitudes. Unlikely to return. By far the best employee we dealt with all 9 days was Daniel on the pool server staff. He was amazing!

Resort was nice. We went during spring break so pool area was packed. Towels were never an issue but chairs were hard to com by if you weren’t out there by 11. But again, this was due to spring break. Pool service was excellent all 7 days. The condo was very nice and kept clean by the staff. Check in was a little disappointing- was not told much about what restaurants were on the grounds or what was available to us. Resturant service was very slow and what I would consider below average. Food was as good. Nice experience with concierge- they were very helpful setting up excursions.

We purposely searched/booked a property within walking distance of the marina due to a couple of charters we hired for fishing. The grounds were immaculate, staff was incredible and genuinely helpful, and the room was wonderful. I will stay here again and suggest paying for the all-inclusive because the food and options were excellent.

This is a beautiful, and well taken care of property. They have alot going on if your not one of those people that can just swim up to the swim up bar and have conversation with anyone..they had activities going all day, pool volleyball, pool yoga, ect..games out by the pool. Jenga, chess, checkers. The breakfast buffet is soooo good. Its worth buying because your not trying to go out somewhere to find breakfast before you start your day. The concierge will help you with whatever you need! We had them make reservations at Casa Martin Restaurant which is so beautiful 😍 and their Seafood chili rellano is to die for! It was 5.76 usd with Uber. The hotel is within walking distance to downtown or Uber seems to work well. The adult pool with swim up bar over looks the ocean and is absolutely gorgeous. They have a little store in the lobby, but it's very expensive for things like a six pack of beer for your room. But they have a gallon of bottle water for your coffee maker in your room for $3. But walmart is close by, take Uber over and pick up things like beer/coffee. Staff is well trained and speak English..the grounds keepers mostly Spanish. If you dont speak Spanish you shouldn't have a problem. We went for our 44th wedding anniversary. We've been to all 4 islands in Hawaii and this hotel pool area is just as gorgeous. You'll have a great time. My only suggestion is that you can just put everything on your room number. Don't, pay as you go! No surprises at checkout.
