Montrose Barn House has 2, 2-storey barn houses with large, open plan living areas downstairs and cosy attic-style bedrooms above with 2-person baths in the bedroom and adjoining en suite bathrooms. A local masseur is available on request, who offers massages and facials for couples or singles.The barn houses are nestled at the rear of Hahndorf's Fine Chocolates in Montrose, within a 25-minute drive from both the Yarra Valley and the Yarra Ranges. A range of restaurants are within walking distance of your residence.Each private barn house is fully self-contained with 2 adjoining courtyards for you to retreat to. Having a chocolate shop, down the path, means the additional convenience of being able to simply walk out your door to enjoy all the chocolate shop has to offer.In the morning, coffee/tea can be delivered to your room on request. A hamper of continental breakfast treats, including bread, fresh fruit, cereals, spreads, butter and fruit juice will also be awaiting you.

Peters bed and breakfast stay is warm and inviting, situated behind the chocolate coffee shop which is exquisite, a brisk walk away from local reserve and shops. The rooms are tastefully renovated with wonderful linens and a well-appointed private bath. Peter was very accommodating and lovely, this was our second time here and it is by far one of the best places we have stayed at. Thanks again Peter for the wonderful experience, we hope to come back again soon =]

It is often difficult to find a place to stay at the Yarra Valley that was affordable to our budget, made us extremely comfortable and very spacious. I almost wanted to gate-keep this accommodation but I could not help myself but to recommend this place as one of the most ideal places to stay for your Yarra Valley weekend. Our host,Peter, greeted us with a warm welcome upon our arrival and showed us around. The Barn House is surprisingly much bigger than what the photos show. It was the biggest place we've ever stayed at. With a beautiful fireplace, two-split systems in each area, full kitchen (which was very important to us) and a lovely spa bath. I didn't think I'd have to say this but all appliances at the accommodation were actually working and we had no issues with any of them during our weekend.Two fire-pits and two court-yards, one shared with another place and its own. The court-yard for the accommodation is big enough for its own beer garden. As it was situated right behind the chocolate cafe, coffee and chocolates were literally a handful of steps away from the front gate. Even though there are customers from the chocolate cafe infront of our place, it did not bother or intrude our stay at all throughout our weekend trip. We just wanted to say a big thank you to our host Peter who has been the most accommodating to us during our weekend away. I highly recommend the Barn House for your weekend stay.

The property was located in a peaceful spot, surrounded by Trees. Owner very helpful and meet us on our first day. Location central to our family and friends we visited. Easy to get around. Would recommemd.
