My husband and I stayed 2 nights here and had a wonderful stay! Free on street parking and the location is within a half mile walk to the beach and many restaurants and shops. Breakfast was great, the managers Joyce and Kat were friendly and knowledgeable. Bikes available for use and we rode 2 miles to the county park at the end of the island. We can't wait to return!

Loved the location. As far back on the island as we could get, pretty private room with equally private porch. Bathroom as big as the bedroom, easy walking distance to all the restaurants, Bert's market as well as the pier and beach entrance. They set up a breakfast in the common kitchen area from 8am-11am, coffee available. They also provide beach towels and umbrellas.

My two teenage daughters and I had a very pleasant stay in the Drunken Sailor Cottage. The location was an easy 5 minute walk to the beach. Also very easy to walk to restaurants and shops. I really liked that there were beach chairs, boogie boards and bicycles that any guest could borrow. We needed clean towels during our stay and Laura brought them right over. I would definitely stay here again.

Cozy room. Nice common room with full kitchen. Great fruit & breakfast options. Filtered water always available was enjoyable. Cute boardwalk behind and park next door. Short walk to delicious restaurants, shopping, beach & pier.

The property was unique and charming! it was very clean and close to everything. I walked everywhere and they even provided a bike that I was able to ride. But my absolute favorite thing there was Joyce, she made my stay so enjoyable. I want to go back already so I can have a good conversation with her. I have already recommended this place to about 6 people. I can not wait to go back.!! this time I may get a cabin with the family! ( they are on the river, with a pier)

Awesome spot just a few blocks from the beach and near a ton of great restaurants, bars, etc. Loved the Betty White room - it was bright, clean, and spacious. Enjoyed access to common kitchen and appreciated the daily continental breakfast. Staff was always pleasant and friendly as well. Noise travels quite a bit, but everyone was really nice about observing quiet hours. Plenty of street parking available. A small desk or table would have been nice in the actual room, but definitely not the end of the world. Glad there was a fridge and microwave though. I would definitely recommend Riverside!

My wife and I booked a room at the inn, #5 The Betty White room. Our first 24 hours we didn't have any hot water. The problem was taken care late afternoon second day. The inn is old but in good clean condition, however the floor, walls and ceiling are wood plank and you will hear every step your neighbor takes as well as their conversations. There are blinds on the windows but they do little to block out light. We bought cheap towels and blankets at Walmart to make it a little darker our second night. Very close to down town so everything is pretty much within walking distance. Parking is on the street.

I thought the checkin process was good. We got in late, i had gotten a text message with instructions on my room passcose, office passcode, parking instructions anda few other helpfull things a good 6 hours before checkin, which was helpfull. The room looked nice, spacious with a huge shower. There was a privacy tint on the window in the shower which was taped on and falling off. Ki da rough looking, especially since it was privacy for a window in the shower. There were a few cobwebs on a lamp next to the bed. Not a big deal to me but not sure how it was missed by cleaners. The bed was neat. It was made of wood in a classic kinda way, not dimensional lumber. But the bed was pretty squeaky. The shower was nice and big. Probably the best part of the room honestly. All in all it was a nice room. Very close to shops, restaurants, the beach. Would definetly rent again.

I came on this trip just to kind of get away and I decided to book this little cottage. I always go to Folly Beach. I love the people. I love the atmosphere. It’s totally different than Columbia South Carolina rooms were super clean. The attendance were extremely nice. I was only there one night, but they were very knowledgeable about the area and were genuinely good hearted people that want to make sure I had everything I needed for my stay. I will be back!

So much better than I expected honestly! Very cozy, very quiet, and very clean! Definitely worth every penny. I’ve been coming to Charleston for years and this was by far the BEST place I’ve ever stayed.

The bed which was listed as acceptable for two adults really was not. It was a double bed with a poor mattress, every time my husband moved my body moved and we kept bumping each other in our sleep. Check out was at 11, but housekeeping came in at 10am unannounced when we were not even dressed yet.

If you are a light sleeper, you will likely not be able to sleep because there’s a swooshing noise that comes from their fridge in the room. I booked for 2 nights but I didn’t get any sleep with that loud noise so I asked for a refund for my second night. They charge a no refundable fee that’s deducted from the refund. Personally think this place is definitely not worth what they charge for. The room I stayed in was tiny tiny. My second night I stayed at a 4 star hotel that was half the price they charge.

We had the smallest room, Brass Lady, which was fine since we really just needed a bedroom. It had a nice private porch and decent bathroom. The communal kitchen area was very nice and the hostess, Joyce, was a real treasure. We enjoyed her hospitality and conversation. Walk to the beach was easy and walk to pier for sunset was easier. We would stay here again.

My husband and I stayed 2 nights here and had a wonderful stay! Free on street parking and the location is within a half mile walk to the beach and many restaurants and shops. Breakfast was great, the managers Joyce and Kat were friendly and knowledgeable. Bikes available for use and we rode 2 miles to the county park at the end of the island. We can't wait to return!

The bed which was listed as acceptable for two adults really was not. It was a double bed with a poor mattress, every time my husband moved my body moved and we kept bumping each other in our sleep. Check out was at 11, but housekeeping came in at 10am unannounced when we were not even dressed yet.

This is such a cute, quaint place. The entire check-in process was super easy and they provide you with everything imaginable that you would need for a beach trip. I highly recommend staying here. I will definitely be back.

I came on this trip just to kind of get away and I decided to book this little cottage. I always go to Folly Beach. I love the people. I love the atmosphere. It’s totally different than Columbia South Carolina rooms were super clean. The attendance were extremely nice. I was only there one night, but they were very knowledgeable about the area and were genuinely good hearted people that want to make sure I had everything I needed for my stay. I will be back!

Awesome spot just a few blocks from the beach and near a ton of great restaurants, bars, etc. Loved the Betty White room - it was bright, clean, and spacious. Enjoyed access to common kitchen and appreciated the daily continental breakfast. Staff was always pleasant and friendly as well. Noise travels quite a bit, but everyone was really nice about observing quiet hours. Plenty of street parking available. A small desk or table would have been nice in the actual room, but definitely not the end of the world. Glad there was a fridge and microwave though. I would definitely recommend Riverside!

We had the smallest room, Brass Lady, which was fine since we really just needed a bedroom. It had a nice private porch and decent bathroom. The communal kitchen area was very nice and the hostess, Joyce, was a real treasure. We enjoyed her hospitality and conversation. Walk to the beach was easy and walk to pier for sunset was easier. We would stay here again.

We booked this on the same day we arrived in town. Check in was easy and the location perfect! We walked to the beach and to restaurants. I told my husband we will be back next year and then we will bring the extended family.

I thought the checkin process was good. We got in late, i had gotten a text message with instructions on my room passcose, office passcode, parking instructions anda few other helpfull things a good 6 hours before checkin, which was helpfull. The room looked nice, spacious with a huge shower. There was a privacy tint on the window in the shower which was taped on and falling off. Ki da rough looking, especially since it was privacy for a window in the shower. There were a few cobwebs on a lamp next to the bed. Not a big deal to me but not sure how it was missed by cleaners. The bed was neat. It was made of wood in a classic kinda way, not dimensional lumber. But the bed was pretty squeaky. The shower was nice and big. Probably the best part of the room honestly. All in all it was a nice room. Very close to shops, restaurants, the beach. Would definetly rent again.

This was a lovely place for a getaway in Folly Beach! Our cottage was spacious, eclectic, adorable and well outfitted. Easy walk to beach, shops and restaurants. Such a comfortable and relaxing stay. Will be back!

Wonderful stay, nice cozy room .. love that they served breakfast .. felt like staying at home away from home. Only complaints are TV was hard to use and having issues watching anything, and could use blind on window in door facing bed. Glad to have stayed. Joyce the housekeeper was so sweet

The bedrooms, are nice comfy. there is a common area for guests. This is great for meeting fellow travelers. We enjoyed the self serve breakfast. Coffee, popcorn fresh baked cookies available. nice touch

Wonderful staff, friendly, helpful, low key, comfortable stay!!! Lovely breakfast, lots of choices of yogurt, juices, bagels, coffee, tea, granola, pastries, and best of all a large selection of fresh fruit. Would go back again!

We went to the office to check-in and there was no staff around. I called the number on the board and texted letting them know that we have arrived and at the office waiting to check-in. There was a sign at the door saying that I should go my itinerary and the "messages" to see the messages sent to me. The don't know what they were talking about because I have the information I need to check-in and I didn't see any messages. Finally the lady working answered my phone and she said that she sent me information via text. I never got anything. She finally made it to the office and she texted me the information she was talking about, that's when I received it. Other than the waiting, the Inn was good and they have friendly staff.

Great little bed-and-breakfast with small rooms or cottages on the marsh side of Folly Beach. The staff is amazing especially grandma. Joyce makes you feel like you’re at home with grandma taken care of you. We had the Azul blue room, a smallest room with a en suite bathroom the decor was cute 50 style The only negative was a personal preference. The bed was very soft. They have a great little sitting area where we can sit out and watch the marsh everything is in walking distance within 5 to 10 minutes even with a bum knee I was able to walk to everything

This is a charming (a bit "funky") property. Exactly the kind of place I love for a beach stay. Loads of character and thoughtful touches like free sunscreen, beach towels to borrow, etc. Check in was easy and staff personable and attentive. Very short walk to the beach and even shorter to Center Street restaurants and shops. Will definately stay here again when at Folly.
