Baymont by Wyndham Lafayette - Purdue University

The room was nice and bed was very comfortable. The room was what I expected based off of the website. The elevator made noises that worried me and so I took the stairs after that. I was under impressed by the shared spaces, but as I said the room at expectations and that’s really what I’m paying for.

I was there for business, so I did not spend a lot of time in the hotel. Bed and pillows were great, and I slept very. well. Nice and quiet with ample parking. I would certainly stay there again.

I checked in online and I was told I would breeze through and get my keys. When I arrived I had to hand over my credit card, license, car info, sign documentation, etc. it was a waste of my time. The hotel hallway carpets are dirty, cleaning supplies were left in my room, the elevator sounds like it’s broken

Upon our arrival, we discovered they were working on the exterior of the building…our window was covered in plastic so we had NO VIEW OF OUTSIDE ☹️ The landscaping, and overflowing garbage cans in the entry way should have been our clue we made a poor choice. First impressions are EVERYTHING!

It was a very well run motel that offered everything that was need at a reasonable price. I was pulling a quite large boat from Florida and the allowed me to occupy the space I needed in an are where I could keep an eye on it.

The room was okay, bathroom clean with the exception of the mirror, but the elevator is pretty rundown and the breakfast is pretty basic.

Nice clean stay. Friendly staff. Accommodating. Breakfast was sufficient. Limited meat options for breakfast. Workout room was sadly neglected. Broken weight machine, dated workout machines. Inop water cooler and humidifier. No tv remote. Greatly needs an update. Would stay again. Reasonable rates for quality of stay.

We stayed here to drop our son off to Perdue. Trip to Perdu is about 15 minutes. First the good, the breakfast was good and tasty, the location is around a number of restaurants and stores. The staff seemed friendly. The bad, you can tell this room (3rd floor) was a smoking room, there are still lingering odors. Not too bad but noticable. The carpet was a mess, dirty from wear and cigarette burns in carpet, and big burn mark on table near bed. They really need new carpets, when I walked in shower my feet left prints of dirt in the tub. Otherwise it was clean. Also the 3rd floor gym machine was broken and unsafe.

Good was fine. Parking was good.

The room was ok. No soap. Front desk argued telling me there was. Glad I showered earlier in day before arrival. My wife didn’t and found shower dirty. Even had pubic hair on shower wall.

Room was very clean, which we appreciated.

Bed linen stained. Towels/washcloths stained. Appeared to be mold behind toilet. Asked for first floor got third floor.

Rude receptionist. Stains on the sheets and covers, I took pictures as soon as I checked in. Poor sound insulation from the hallway. disappointed.

The tub had hair in it. There was barely any hot water during our stay. The sink stop was stuck in plugged position so we could not use the sink. There were stains on bedding. The stairwell smelled like smoke. The heater/AC blew right into my face in bed. The front desk person at check in was clearly not happy to be there and was rude. When we asked her on what side of the building our room was so that we could move our car, she said flippantly that she didn’t know and slid our room keys to us. The property looks run down and dirty. We ate elsewhere. The only good thing is that the front desk guys in the morning when we checked out were super nice. Unfortunately though we will never go back to this hotel.

The bathtub was not clean and the microwave did not work

After a six hour drive and wanting to rest, we turned down the bed to find the sheets were blood stained, went to the front desk to complain and she just handed me new sheets and said wow, I'm sorry. Upon tearing the sheets off the bed, i saw that the mattress pad and top sheet were also stained with blood, in the exact spots, which to me means the sheets were never changed. Whats the chance of you washing the sheets and getting the exact three peices again - and if you did, why would you put them on the bed?

Room was kinda dirty, but quiet and nice breakfast.

Very clean! Great place to stay. We stayed 6 nights. No complaints!

Spacious

The hotel is older, but well maintained and clean. Rooms were renovated. The beds were very comfortable. Bathroom was older, but spotless. Breakfast was good - fresh bagels, waffles, eggs. Overall - great for the price. We would stay there again.

The lady at check in was extremely rude. Went to take a shower and it had someone else’s hair in it and my room had no AC.

The elevator sounded sketchy but we didn't get trapped. Coffee was good. The a/c was mid - couldn't get it as cool in the room as we like. But the beds were comfy, and the room was clean.

The room was clean. Breakfast was good. One thing to note is that you can hear the trucks in the highway thru the night slightly. It is not sound proof. We turned on the ac fan on all the time to muffle the truck noise. Bed was comfortable.

AC didnt work great and had an odd smell when it ran. Hallways felt and smelled a little muggy. Pillows weren't very good. Room was a good size which was nice. Continental breakfast was meh, i skipped it.

The price was right. The room was clean, spacious, & quiet. The bed was very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

The venue was very clean and pleasant. We completed the registration process online and that was a complete waste of time. Every question was repeated by the front desk and did not save any time at all.

The overall room stay was great. The room was clean and completely updated. Very quiet hotel. However when I left I stopped at the desk to discussed my bill and end up getting the cops called on me because the owner didn’t want to explain why I was charged twice for incidentals. When I booked through a third party, it stated that I had to paid $100 deposit and I did so with no problem and I had to pay the remainder upon arrival. Once again, no problem. When I arrived, I was charged the full amount of room plus an additional $100. I didn’t ask questions at the time because I wanted to see what will happen at checkout. Come checkout day, I go to the desk and ask about my bill. The young lady didn’t understand why I was charge twice and called the owner. The owner tells me that they only charged once. I displayed my receipt to him and went over the breakdown all while he was trying to stop me from talking. He then went back over the printed receipt from the hotel and told me I was wrong and wasn’t understanding what he was telling me. I completely understood HOWEVER he refused to even listen to what I was saying. He then became angry and stated that he was calling the police and I allowed because he refused to explain why I was charged twice. It the police over fifteen minutes to arrive and I didn’t have time to keep waiting because I had a schedule to keep. I informed the owner that I will be calling corporate to report him and his business practices.

Front desk agent was so nice! Had a warm welcome Rooms, while need some new carpeting, are clean.

After booking through Orbitz we were sent a text from Baymont asking us to check in online to save us time at the front desk when we arrived. When we arrived, the lady had no record that we had completed the online check-in (credit card, ID, car make & model & license plate,etc).

The stay that we had at Baymont was fine, but we were double charged for the room and the incidental fee. We spoke with someone at the front desk who assured me it was an error and would be refunded. However, the charge went through three days later and I had to contact my bank. The hotel is nice but not worth the hassle when being overcharged!

The facility, staff members, location, & breakfast were all great. I have stayed here before & will again. My frustration was receiving text messages to pre check-in & pre check-out. I did pre check-in, including uploading drivers' license & credit card info but front desk did not receive so had to do it all again on-site. Why did I bother pre checking-in then??

Easy access from Interstate 65, close to shopping, and 30 minutes drive from Purdue University.

This hotel was perfect for pur needs. Breakfast was pretty good. Beds were comfortable and rooms were clean. Near Purdue campus!

Great location

We stayed at Baymont Inn for my daughter's college campus tour at Purdue. It was about 14 min drive from the university, and situated right off the expressway. There were lots of restaurants within walking distance. The hotel was clean and room was spacious. The bed was comfortable and linens were crisp clean. I just noticed that the towels were a little worn out. The front desk staff both in the evening and morning were very nice and accomodating. Great value for the money!

Eggs were poor. Sausage almost inedible. Condiments scattered and hard to find. It should not require 3 trips to toast an English muffin with butter and jam. Juices plentiful and good.

Breakfast staff was late which resulted in no eggs and sausage available.

Stopped off last minute on a long drive down from Chicago airport. Easy to find, quiet area and plenty of parking spaces. Check in was fast and the girl behind the counter was friendly. The hotel itself isn't in pristine condition but overall was decent enough. The room was clean, comfy and didn't have any strange smells or anything. Blackout curtains and the quiet area made sleeping a breeze. Had a great rest here, no complaints at all. Breakfast was eggs, biscuits and gravy and a selection of muffins and fruit. Juices and coffee is also provided. It was all done using paper plates and cups but I presume this is to be eco-friendly. Check-out was fast and the security deposit was returned quickly. Zero complaints, would happily stay again.

One morning there was no coffee because the machine was broken. You need a backup for coffee. The breakfast area is too small. It was ok. We were visiting relatives.

We just needed a room for one night. The room was clean, with a comfortable bed/pillows and quiet. The breakfast buffet (included) had plenty of hot selections as well as a juice bar, coffee bar, and fruit + pastries/muffins. Highly recommend.

Check in was exceptionally slow. Clerk was new and untrained. Finally had to get help from someone who had used their computer before. Breakfast had no meat, old eggs, and were out of OJ. They eventually replaced it. But the room was clean, well lit and as advertised.
