Located on the beach, this condo is in Waipouli, a neighborhood in Kapaa. Kauai Museum and Kela's Glass Gallery are cultural highlights, and some of the area's attractions include Smith's Tropical Paradise and Lydgate Beach. Keahua Arboretum and Grove Farm Homestead are also worth visiting. Jet skiing and snorkeling offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with mountain climbing and horse riding nearby.

The place had everything my family of 4 needed for a ten-day stay. Hawaii is expensive, so with the fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, blender, and access to gas grill on the property, plus all the utensils, we were able to eat most meals at “home” even without a stove/oven. There were also some nice amenities like a couple beach chairs, cooler, and fan that we used. The eating space was tight, but we made it work by bringing in the 2 deck chairs. I didn’t realize there were also coffee filters and salt/pepper until after I bought some.Property is gorgeous. Pool is smaller but suited the kids. Hot tub was nice. Parking was full when we got there but realized can park behind Wingz n Thingz with a hangtag which was even closer than the main lot.The location was great. Can see the sunrise from the balcony. Near to beaches, bike trail, disc golf, kayaking the Wailua River. luau, and convenient for driving to north and south sides of the island.

We enjoyed our stay-loved the ocean view from the window and while on the deck. It was great to walk 2 minutes and have access to shopping, restaurants, and a market. The pool bar was nice, and we also liked the ocean coast path right out the door for walking along the water, or to get to get to a Safeway grocery store nearby. Thanks for a great stay, we loved Kauai!

We absolutely loved our stay. You can't beat the ocean views from the balcony. The property was beautiful, and it was great to have beach access and a pool to use. Plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again.

This is a great room with a balcony looking directly out over the ocean. Just a few feet from the beach. An easy walk to great restaurants. The Happy Hour at the poolside bar is great as well and just steps from the room. We would stay here again!

This was our second stay in this unit, we love the location overlooking the beach and the pool. The Islander is such a beautiful place with quaint plantation style architecture, lovely grounds, and the pool and tiki bar (the Sandbar) literally steps from the beach. Just across the parking lot is the Coconut Marketplace with lots of shops, places to eat and activities like hula and fire knife dances, and the farmers' market is a great place to pick up fresh tropical fruit. Located just south of Kapa'a makes it easy to get to either the north shore or south shore. The room is comfortable and well equipped. Communication with Kauai Vision Rentals was timely and easy, both by email and text. This is by far our favorite place to stay on Kauai, we're already looking forward to our next visit.

Nice little hotel style room with a view of the ocean. Great location with several restaurants and coconut marketplace within walking distance. Hot tub was a great evening meeting place to discuss the day’s adventures with other travelers.

Great location and beautiful property. Beach nice to sit at and look even if you cant swim there. Gounds well maintained and fantastic to look at. Unit was nice with enjoyable view, except a bit of mold in the shower. Safe was locked upon entry so couldn't be used. Emailed property but didnt get a response. Wasnt an issue for me. Could use another set of towels since no maid service. Location near Coconut Market was very convenient. and Safeway just up the road was nice. Overall it was great and would stay there again

We really enjoyed our stay at this resort. We did find that the room could have used a little sprucing up. Some dusty areas could be found. Overall, we had everything we needed there. Great location with shopping within walking distance. Absoultly beautiful grounds to wander around!!!

The location was perfect. The price was affordable. It was Steps away from everything. Was really disappointed with the condo. I’m sure it was beautiful at one time , but now it’s just old. Power washing the floor tile and grout, putting that same green in the bathroom would improve it 100%. Wiping down baseboards and even a rug as you enter to put shoes on make it a little more welcoming. No place for beach towels. Your not supposed to hang them from the railing, but other units had a place to hang them outside. The sliding door was almost impossible to open and the screen on the door has a huge rip in it. There’s no freezer compartment for ice, finally found thrice at another building.

Everything was awesome! For real. The only thing we would say is that we noticed mold in the headboard so possibly look into getting that treated. Or possibly replacing it with jon wicker? Anyway thanks!!

Overall we had a great stay. The floors seemed a little dirty, but overall the property was in great shape. Loved having our morning coffee on the lanai and watching the ocean. Convenient walking distance to the Coconut Marketplace.

The unit is perfectly located, on the the 2nd of 3 floors in a beautifully landscaped older resort, very close to the ocean and the pool. Management was responsive and the property description was accurate. The unit includes a big, old microwave and 2 refrigerators, essentially in the bedroom. The cabinets in the bedroom are full of dishes, silverware, etc. There is one smallish wardrobe for guests to use. The unit was not especially clean and the dirty broom and dustpan stood in the corner of the bathroom; there was a broom closet, but it was locked. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our stay, and are glad we chose it. It would have been more relaxing and nicer if the unit were updated and there was less bedroom space devoted to kitchen stuff. We enjoyed the other guests we met at the resort, and loved walking up and down the coast in the morning. To the south, there's a beachside restaurant, and to the north, there's a Starbucks in a hotel. Also, it's easy to drive all over the island from this central location.

Our opinion was, that we found the bathroom in need of renovation and also the chairs on the balcony, because they were sat through and partly broken. We didn't even use the beach chairs. The balcony door was difficult for us to open and open and the handle was broken - the fly screen was torn. We found that the price/performance ratio did not fit.

Aston Islander is in a wonderful location. Easy access from the airport, very to close to good restaurants, shopping, and of course the beaches. We stayed in unit 245, having stayed at the islander before, the rooms seem pretty much the same. This unit had two small refrigerators which was quite convenient. Second floor balcony is a good blend of view and privacy. The only mild issue was that the balcony was not swept and was quite sandy, but luckily there was a broom and dust pan in unit. We did also have one of the metal patio chair legs break from being corroded through, but you're only 30 ft from the ocean so these things happen. The owners are very communicative and professional and I would highly recommend renting from them.

The property is great and conveniently located. The location of the unit was the best, beside the pool board walk and beach. The actual unit is tired and showing signs of age. Interior needs to be upgraded.

This place is basically an extended hotel room, but it is exactly as it loiks in pictures. The beach view is lovely, and its secluded, but shops and restaurants are within walking distance. Its a lovely property, and well kept.

Pros: bed is super comfortable, view is fantastic, close to everything you need, plenty of lights, 2 beach chairs, umbrella, cooler and beach towels provided, which was very handy Cons: big heavy furniture make room feel very crowded, kitchen was not stocked with basics like dish soap, foil, mixing bowls etc. floor is really banged up

We loved the property and our room. The AC was cold; the bed was comfortable. The property is close to shopping and restaurants. There is a small Frig in the room. We grabbed ice from an ice maker on the property and made drinks in our room to enjoy on the balcony or by the pool. The wifi worked great and it was easy to use the code to access the room. The condo has silverware, plates, bowls, cups and bbq tongs for the gas bbqs that we used a couple times. We’ll be back.

Keypad lock is an adventure. No key you could leave in room and lock the door. Best view from balcony because facing east. Property well managed, very quiet since the block is central on property and pool bar closes at 9:00 pm. Walk/bike pass vis a vis. Short distance into all directions for exploring the island. Market cross the street and coffee shop on property avoids travel by car for urgent things. Brewery around the corner with excellent food.

Great location and wonderfully groomed grounds. The room though was substandard. From modem speed internet (used the open Aston Wi-Fi instead) to sub pillows, old filter type coffee maker and the old key holder fortunately worked. Small things, yes, but easy things to fix. Room looks like its easy to maintain but wasn't met to be comforting to guests. About sum's it up.

Outstanding location just a few steps from the beach. Lanai has fine view as well. Coconut market has most of what you need in walking distance. Management was quick and responsive to address an issue. Unit interior is a bit dated, but clean. Tiny kitchen sink seems par for these units, but would benefit from upgrades.

This property is an ocean front unit which makes it excellent. However, the unit requires a lot of work. The bed is not comfortable (noisy - for every turn while sleeping, as such you can't sleep) sounded like the mattress is wrapped in hard plastics! The utensils, coffee cups are dirty, can't access WIFI as the information provided on the check-in paper's is not correct, Lastly, on day one of our stay, we've already received message instructions, on checkout process and this was followed on day two!!!! I'm giving it a 3 stars for location but other than that it would be a one star.

I have stayed in this group of condos before and this condo has the best location with the best view for the price. This condo was very clean and well maintained. The condo owner and management communications were great and they provided a lot of information well before our check in to be sure our stay was issue free. I would definitely rent this condo again in the future.
I have stayed in this group of condos before and this condo has the best location with the best view for the price. This condo was very clean and well maintained. The condo owner and management communications were great and they provided a lot of information well before our check in to be sure our stay was issue free. I would definitely rent this condo again in the future.

We were so happy that Islander was our landing spot upon arriving in Kauai. It was convenient, the grounds were beautiful and the studio perfect for our needs. We grilled down by the pool and brought our dinners up to the balcony. We spent every meal we could on the balcony. We listened to the waves, watched the waves and enjoyed the beautiful scene. We had an issue with the keypad not working correctly that was resolved very satifactorily. The farmers market in the parking lot offered some tasty treats and the shops in walking distance were great for both groceries, alcohol, coffee and souvenirs. It was a great stay!

We loved the property and our room. The AC was cold; the bed was comfortable. The property is close to shopping and restaurants. There is a small Frig in the room. We grabbed ice from an ice maker on the property and made drinks in our room to enjoy on the balcony or by the pool. The wifi worked great and it was easy to use the code to access the room. The condo has silverware, plates, bowls, cups and bbq tongs for the gas bbqs that we used a couple times. We’ll be back.

The Islander is such a beautiful place with quaint plantation style architecture, lovely grounds, and the pool and tiki bar (the Sandbar) literally steps from the beach. Just across the parking lot is the Coconut Marketplace with lots of shops, places to eat and activities like hula and fire knife dances, and the farmers' market is a great place to pick up fresh tropical fruit. Located just south of Kapa'a makes it easy to get to either the north shore or south shore. The room is comfortable and well equipped. Communication with Kauai Vision Rentals was timely and easy, both by email and text. This is by far our favorite place to stay on Kauai, we're already looking forward to our next visit.

I would first start off by saying that the host (Candace) is very accommodating and super helpful with any questions you may have and overall an excellent host! The studio/condo is located right next to the beach and stunning views! Also, had all the things you need and the Host goes above and beyond with all the accommodations you need for your vacation! Highly recommend your stay here!

The pool bar was nice, and we also liked the ocean coast path right out the door for walking along the water, or to get to get to a Safeway grocery store nearby. Thanks for a great stay, we loved Kauai!

This place is basically an extended hotel room, but it is exactly as it loiks in pictures. The beach view is lovely, and its secluded, but shops and restaurants are within walking distance. Its a lovely property, and well kept.

Property well managed, very quiet since the block is central on property and pool bar closes at 9:00 pm. Walk/bike pass vis a vis. Short distance into all directions for exploring the island. Market cross the street and coffee shop on property avoids travel by car for urgent things. Brewery around the corner with excellent food.

The location, grounds, and views were great. Having the Lava Lava Grill next door was very nice as well. Great food and service. Other restaraunts, shops and convienience store are just a few miniute walk. Glorius sunrises! Sound of the waves just fifty yards away is awesome. The only issue is that this unit could use some TLC.

Islander On The Beach is a lovely hotel with very well maintained grounds and right on the beach. Location is ideal. Coconut Markeplace offers convenience to eat and shop. Suite location was fine with ocean views from balcony, and rather quiet. One negative would be the fact that this unit and possibly others as well are quite outdated. Hence the four star rating.

This is a great room with a balcony looking directly out over the ocean. Just a few feet from the beach. An easy walk to great restaurants. The Happy Hour at the poolside bar is great as well and just steps from the room. We would stay here again!

Room was not clean on move-in. Dirty floor and dust everywhere. There was no laundry available onsite. If you need clean towels you have an additional 100 charge which seems very extreme to us.
