Oceanview Inn at the Arch

This is our second time here. The view from our bedroom was gorgeous. The staff are great workers and helpful. Everything is within walking distance. The only two drawbacks are no breakfast (like they use to), and no swimpool. The breakfast is no big deal. My grandkids wound want a pool or at least a hot tub. But WE loved it!

The ice machine was broken and appeared to be permanently out of order. Availability of ice is an expected and BASIC amenity ar any USA hotel. Fix the machine and get 2 more. I will not stay there again. They said I could go down the street to buy ice. I require a small amount, not a bag. They should provide the money for you to buy ice.

Entrance area was not freshly painted, luggage carts facing you on entryand had rust. Rooms were upgraded and in reasonable condition for an older property. Bed was adequate but not exceptionally comfortable. Pillows not soft or full enough. Bonus: Starbucks Keirg coffee in the lobby AM! Prpoerty within eassy walking distance to the beach.

We always stay here when we visit Long Beach. It is a great location! Close to the beach and the boardwalk. Close to town, restaurants and shopping. The rooms are clean and well maintained with plenty towels, soap, shampoo and lotions. The only complaints are that the in-room coffee is awful and the ice machine was broken. Good coffee was available in the lobby, but not until 8:00 AM. Hopefully, the ice machine will get fixed soon. The staff did their best to accommodate us and got us ice from their storage area.

Great motel in Long Beach! Close to everything and they even have an elevator

Checkin was quick and easy, staff were friendly and efficient, and there was a working elevator.

Very small parking lot. One of the queen beds had sand in the sheets, other bed was clean. Other than that, the room itself and bathroom were clean. I really liked the set up of the room, super cozy.

We stayed two nights. The room was nice, clean, and comfortable. It was quiet. The staff were friendly. They offer baggage carts and an elevator even with outdoor entrances. It is within walking distance to town. We would stay again.

This is quite close to the beach and we had a nice ocean view from our room. Downside - 1 ice machine on the first floor (the 2nd and 3rd floor machines were missing from their respective alcoves).

What I liked was the location and the view - we had a third floor room. What I didn’t like was the cleanliness. The rug was stained, obvious floor had not been mopped, trash behind night stand, something weird was on the ceiling.

Front desk staff was terrible. Rude and very off putting. Dead flies in the room. The chairs had holes and peeling fabric. Sink had mold. Smelled like stale smoke in the room. Would not stay here again.

Was not clean, room smelled like smoke, freezer was very dirty. The bedding wasn’t clean or white towels. The best part was the location, parking and staff.

Clean, comfortable room & friendly staff!

This was our second time staying here. Love that there’s a path to the beach right next to the hotel. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Upper floor has ocean views, lower rooms look out onto a grassy area that the deer hang out in in the mornings, so either way, it’s a view. Close to everything (Scoopers for the best ice cream and Marsh’s Museum). Really reasonable prices and super friendly staff! Would highly recommend.

The room was fine, quite worn but ok. What spoiled the stay is cleanliness. Toilet seat cover had somebody’s dirty body part print on it. Which grossed us out and made question the cleanliness of the place. Never again we are staying at this place.

Check in was at 3. Room was not to be ready until 4. Room still was not ready due to not being cleaned yet. No sheets on bed. Dirty sheets on chair. Was given a different room...2 doors down. That room was worse. Went back down stairs to let the front desk know the second room was not cleaned either. We were able to get in our room at around 5 or a little after. We were going to stay another night until the bathroom issue of being dirty. Ceiling behind toilet either had mildew or a roof leaking issue. The so called fan cover player was 25% dirty. Nice view for the ocean but that was it. All we got in return was ....Sorry. No discount,nothing...just Sorry. We will not be staying there ever again.

My boyfriend flew in from overseas for the first time, and we went to Long Beach. We relied on numerous reviews to select a hotel, and ultimately chose a six-night stay at Oceanview Inn at the Arch. Had we not paid in advance for the entire duration, we would not have stayed there one night. Based on our experience (and the website), the “cleaning protocols” expired with the end of the pandemic. We were offered another room, but I simply asked for better housekeeping. Sandy sheets, stained towels, filthy floors, dingy walls, and orange scum mold on the shower curtain do not qualify as “clean.” Based on the furnishings, we weren’t given a “modern guest room.” To make matters worse, there was a one-cup coffee maker in the room, which I have not seen in 20 years of hotel hopping in Washington or Oregon. We were constantly asking for towels and extra coffee but finally bought our own coffee pot. We had cable for three nights only, and when my boyfriend inquired, he was given instructions that didn’t work. After our “contract” was over, we resumed our stay elsewhere. The so-called view is kind of misleading. The bush and trees between the rooms' windows block any shot at seeing the beach.

Two ladies at front desk were very nice. The beds need to be modernized and the pillows need to be thrown away and replaced.

Cold shower on the second day. Bed was very uncomfortable. I would not recommend.

Good hotel, only issue is the a/c was very noisy.

Very convenient location to everything and clean hotel and modern with great views. Didn’t like being on 2nd floor with noisy people footsteps above us late at night and early hours of the morning. Recommend top floor next time.

The rooms were nice and clean. The tv didnt work in our first room so they put us in a different room that was just as nice. The tv didnt work in that room either. The room itself was great, and the staff was great too.

To say "oceanview" was an exaggeration. Trees and sand dune view is much more accurate. Someone was running across the floor above me most of the night 2 of the nights I was there, thank God I brought ear plugs grrrr.

We got the room on the second floor on the corner (201) very large and very clean. Nice ocean view. Highly recommended

This is our second time staying here and although it wasn't quite as fantastic as the first, we will definitely be returning. We booked an ocean view, last time we had a wonderful view from the third floor and this time it was a sliver of the ocean from the second floor. Will call to request third floor next time. The walls are decent for not hearing the neighbors TV or talking, but you can sure hear the bed squeak from your neighbors honeymoon noises. Turning on our TV fixed that. There may have also been an elephant staying above us from the sounds of their feet half the night. This being said, we would recommend the third floor since you can hear the upstairs guests pretty well. The check in was super easy, there was ample parking, and I did not feel unsafe doing a midnight walk to the beach on my own. Employees were friendly both at night and in the morning during check out. The room itself was super clean, smelled a little like cleaning products upon arrival but that's not an issue, the beds were comfortable and the pillows were pretty decent. The curtains make the room pretty dark which is helpful if you're a late morning sleeper. I do recommend bringing a sleep mask if slivers of sunshine in the morning wake you up. This is a wonderful hotel for a great price, especially for the location. The main strip of town is just two blocks away. The Chowder Stop just a block away has some of the best burgers I've ever had. Highly recommend staying here!

The manager and staff were so very friendly and helpful with everything. We needed to split the bill- boom. Done. No problem. We asked for daily linen service, and again, no problem. We had a wonderful stay. Thank you !

Staff was good, but forgot to call when our room was ready for check-in.

Great location

Overall our stay was ok, but before check out a housekeeping staff member walked into our room after watching me and my daughter exit the room. My husband was still in the room getting my 4 year old child dressed- he was not fully clothed. Again it was before checkout time. I sent an email to the staff letting them know about our uncomfortable and violating experience with no reply. Location on the beach is great but would never stay here again risking our privacy.

Unfortunately, there was no stay... we received a call at 7:30pm while driving out to this lovely and remote stretch of coast indicating that we would need to call ahead if we were arriving after 8pm. We called multiple times to the onsite number indicated and it just looped through a series of automated messages and never reached a human or a voicemail. We tried to call again later from a rest-stop as they indicated someone would be onsite for late night arrivals/needs, but I was never able to reach the onsite person to be able to check in. I called after the weekend to tell them about the issue and they just kept stating there was someone onsite at all times to help and the number should have worked. Well, it did not. They said since we booked through Expedia we should take it up with Expedia to get reimbursed. That information was also inaccurate / a lie, as Expedia took no payment; the hotel directly billed our credit card. Short advice - don't book here unless you are sure you can make it well before 8pm. I can't speak to the rooms/property. We were stranded badly late at night with a child and after much searching found one room at a different hotel for over twice the price. Summer on the coast is brutal in terms weekend rates/availability, better to book with someone reliable especially if you are driving from a good distance away.

The room above us had people stomping on floor for an hour and a half in the middle of the night. There is nobody working there at night so there was nobody there to help with the issue

The check in couldn't have been better! Our host is wonderful! We requested a table to play games with our travel partners and when we got back from dinner, we had a table in our room! Fabulous customer service!

The room was good sized, great for a motel but only average for a hotel. Our room had a very noisy mini-fridge. Lower rating for service/staff because the off-season check-in ends at 8 pm. You can make accommodations with the front desk if you call early. My problem is that this requirement was hidden under different tabs for both their website and Expedia. I just happened to stumble on it the day before check-in. I would have been screwed if I hadn't seen this since we couldn't be there before 9 pm. Something this significant should be on the front page with all the info about amenities and room options.

Short walk to the beach.

Convenient to shops and restaurants. Right at a beach access road so you can walk to the beach or jump in the car for a quick drive on to the beach. Great choice in places to stay in the area.

Walking distance to town & the beach.

Great place to stay during kite festivals--parking next to the entrance to the festivals.

Traveling up Oregon/Washington coast. Long Beach was MUCH better than anticipated. Hotel was as close as you can get to the main beach access and one block walk from main downtown retail/restaurant area. We lucked out with excellent weather. Third floor (top) room provided great ocean vista.

Great place to stay, cute friendly town

We stayed just one night but the area seems very nice, right on the beach. The single thing I would change is I would like to have breakfast, everything else was very nice.

The room was clean and had plenty of towels and soap. The front desk lady was extremely sweet and we ended up talking for awhile! It was a breezy evening and it felt like the building would blow away. I opened the windows slightly in my room and boy I swore the window would come crashing in. That’s my biggest worry for the hotel is the infrastructure. Everything else went well. I was debating between two hotels though and chose yours for the breakfast….well theres muffins….so that could be improved upon also or iterated differently

We had a beautiful room with an incredible view. You might want to bring your own pillow, otherwise beds are comfortable. Only this missing is coffee. This hotel does not have any coffee available on the premises before 8:00am.

The hotel was close to town and the beach. I paid extra for breakfast. Unfortunately, they only had small muffins. This was a big disappointment.

Absolutely loved it. Clean, spacious, QUIET room facing the ocean and one block from the BEST BAKERY IN THE WORLD (Dylan’s Cottage Bakery). What more can you ask for?

Clearly newly remodeled. So clean and inviting. The view is everything you could ask for. Incredibly convenient location for both beach and town. No continental breakfast at this time, but the bakery, practically within sight, opens very early every morning.

Loved our stay here, newly renovated rooms. Right on the beach with ocean views. Beach is a short walk. Has no breakfast but has tons of dining options within 2 min walking distance. 10/10 would recommend it!
