they did not come and make up the room the second day that we were there and the swimming pool was closed and we were not aware of that until we got there. The service was good. The location was fine. The room was a little dirty, overall not bad.

The building looked fine but was surrounded by unkept weeds, the room was gorgeous but there was no water pressure in the sink (thankfully the shower had water pressure but the shower head was about to fall off), the elevator would stop open the doors and then jolt every time we rode it.

This property should have posted on their website that their pool was closed, per the board of health for over 3 months. The worst part was waking up to cockroaches crawling up the wall in the middle of the night.. This didn’t just happen to me, but several others checking out early for the same reason. Sadly, when this concern was brought to the attention of staff, I was met with nothing more than a blank stare. Not even an apology. The outdoor gazebo space was nothing more than a graveyard of broken down hotel furniture. I’ll never stay there again.

Not only did we have to ring the bell 4-5 times before somebody showed up to check us in, the pool was out of service and the room looked nothing like the pictures online. The door in our bathroom was broken in such a way that when you shut it, it would not reopen without significant force, causing my children to panic because they thought they were trapped in the bathroom. The 2 towels and 1 washcloth in the room (that’s all there was), were all damp, requiring me to go to the front desk to get replacements. The bathtub was filthy and had no shower curtain. The door on the TV stand was broken and there was no iron, ironing board or hair dryer in the room. Breakfast was also inadequate. I decided to eat at a restaurant instead but my daughter ventured to try the fruit loops and said they were stale. We had booked two nights but checked out after one and the hotel refused to refund us for our unused night because the booking was nonrefundable. I disagree with this determination because the booking was made based on the pictures on hotels.com. Had the establishment looked like the advertised pictures, I would’ve been happy to stay the second night.

Don’t expect breakfast when staying here. There was rotten oranges the whole week there and the milk and orange “juice” was reused every morning. They were only “open” during the week, and only for about 45 mins. Truly a joke of a free breakfast. Also the pool was closed. And the elevator had no paper work verifying inspection. I’m local and needed a place while my water pipes were being replaced. I recommend this place if you are just in the area tor a couple days. Just don’t expect what they describe.

I booked hotel in Marion because of graduation at IWU. I was looking for amenities such as a pool and free breakfast which it said it offered. The pool was not Open and there was no breakfast. Highly disappointed I was supposed to stay two days but left that next morning. The elevator was really scary and would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The furniture was dirty, one of the tv's in the room did not work, dead bugs on dresser, spiders in bathroom, broken window, wall peeling. Towels were cheap. The place smells of moth balls from the entrance and throughout the entire hotel. Would not recommend to anyone.

Rooms are dirty. Cockaroaches in 2 of the rooms have pictures foe proof worst hotel ive stayes at staff doesnt keep the rooms clean in my opinion they need to either close the building down or remodle and new staff that do there job

We checked out within an hour of checking in. Couldn’t get a refund but it didn’t matter there was no way we were staying here. Bugs crawling all over the room, a dirty washcloth was left in the shower, dingy room altogether with peeling paint and mildew in the tub. Besides that I cannot stress enough that a woman traveling alone should not stay here. There were a lot of men (probably laborers who stay at the hotel for work) but they were loitering around the hallways and outside, shirtless and yelling and creating an overall unpleasant and uncomfortable experience. I’d rather sleep in my car.

This hotel was not clean. There was multiple stains on the furniture and sheets. The bathroom looked like it had not been cleaned in quite a while. There were broken fixtures. The water pressure was a trickle. We also saw several bugs crawling on the floor.

Arrived to find the safety lock unscrewed and unable to use. Furniture in the room was stained and dirty. Hand towel in the bathroom was dirty, and there were multiple dirt smudges in the bathroom and lots of stains. Bathroom floors had not been cleaned. The sheets on one of the beds had not been changed and were visibly dirty. When I went to the front desk to notify them of these problems, the front desk attendant gave me sheets to change my own bed, one replacement towel, and said he’d talk to housekeeping but did not offer to correct the mistakes and expected I would do it. Some of the electrical outlets didn’t work because they were too loose in the wall. One of the two smoke alarms in the room had been removed. Attempted to speak with attendant upon checkout, waited for five minutes with no response. Wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

When we entered our first room, I noticed half the headboard was sitting on the mattress. My husband literally touched it and it went crashing down on top of the bed. This was a BIG wooden king headboard. They gave us a new room and the below pictures show the bathroom light switch with 6 wood screws partially holding it on, and the bottom of the bathtub, which flaked off as you showered. For some reason the option to upload photos won't work.

Worn out squeaky mattress on a cheap metal platform, no box springs. Worst bed ever. Hand soap the size of a silver dollar. Worn out desk chair with hunks of upholstery missing. Everything at breakfast is small—small cups for coffee and fake orange juice, tiny yogurt cups half the size of a normal yogurt, tiny muffins, tiny pancakes. No spoons or bowls for cereal or instant oatmeal. Front desk staff who speak broken English. Had to return our magnetic room keys twice, doors would not open.

Had no washcloth or hand towel. tile repair not professional - bumped up 3 tiles in front of sink. I wouldn't put my foot in bathtub. It had black lines and a red stain. Paint on tiles and headboard. painting was not professionals. Didn't say when breakfast was beginning and ending.

The door handle to our room kept falling off, the first thing we seen when we walked in was that the smoke detector fell from the ceiling & was laying on the bed. There was a clump of hair in the tub, and there was a leak coming from the ceiling vent in the bathroom. The breakfast sucks, the cereal was extremely stale and hard & there's hardly any options.

I had left the room to go to my car and when I came back food was thrown away, my charger was stolen and I got it back when I had went to the front desk but at first the girl that took it tried to play stupid about it. Don’t recommend this place to anyone, doors are broken and lights not working throughout the building.

It was a decent place for the price. A little outdated. Check in was easy and fast. 3 day stay. Checking out took a long time, nobody at the front desk (5 am), kept ringing bell for a long time, guy was rude when he showed up.

Not only did we have to ring the bell 4-5 times before somebody showed up to check us in, the pool was out of service and the room looked nothing like the pictures online. The door in our bathroom was broken in such a way that when you shut it, it would not reopen without significant force, causing my children to panic because they thought they were trapped in the bathroom. Arrived to find the safety lock unscrewed and unable to use. Furniture in the room was stained and dirty. Hand towel in the bathroom was dirty, and there were multiple dirt smudges in the bathroom and lots of stains. Bathroom floors had not been cleaned. The sheets on one of the beds had not been changed and were visibly dirty. When I went to the front desk to notify them of these problems, the front desk attendant gave me sheets to change my own bed, one replacement towel, and said he’d talk to housekeeping but did not offer to correct the mistakes and expected I would do it. Some of the electrical outlets didn’t work because they were too loose in the wall. One of the two smoke alarms in the room had been removed. Attempted to speak with attendant upon checkout, waited for five minutes with no response. Wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

I liked absolutely nothing, only because Ive lost my job, my marriage, my dream home amd my entire 401K all since Jan.12th. 2023. So, after 2.5. months living in hotel rooms, i likebnothing about it. Lobby smelled like weed and cigarettes. Carpets were stained wall to wall in halls and stairs. Guests room doors were not latched and it was very noisy. It appeared as though guests lived there. My teenage daughter was very weary about staying there and started Googling the hotel. When she came across a story about a recent drug raid with weapons also being uncovered we dropped our key off in the Check out box and left. We were there less than 30 minutes.

We were greeted by a nice front desk agent but also by a not-so-nice musty smell. Hand written signs everywhere posted saying food for paying customers. Looking out the window later and seeing people walking around after midnight sort of brought it around full circle. The elevator to the 3rd floor sounded & felt like it should have been put out of service a long time ago. We were a family of 4 and were only provided 2 towels. When asking for more, got told “sorry, they’re in the dirty laundry.” The nice housekeeper gave use some hand towels to help with the kids. The room itself looked and felt old. The curtain was falling off the window. The beds were clean and okay (otherwise we would have left). The bathroom was dirty, paint was coming off the wall, the door, tub and counter were stained and gross. Stopped in for the breakfast on the way out. Absolutely not. Not sure what I expected but definitely not. I wouldn’t ever stay again unless it was renovated or the need was dire. Definitely will teach me to try to save a buck and try a new to me chain. No thanks.

We checked out within an hour of checking in. Couldn’t get a refund but it didn’t matter there was no way we were staying here. Bugs crawling all over the room, a dirty washcloth was left in the shower, dingy room altogether with peeling paint and mildew in the tub. Besides that I cannot stress enough that a woman traveling alone should not stay here. There were a lot of men (probably laborers who stay at the hotel for work) but they were loitering around the hallways and outside, shirtless and yelling and creating an overall unpleasant and uncomfortable experience. I’d rather sleep in my car.

I am always confused when a hotel gets cheap and does not provide Kleenex such a minor savings for the inconvenience. Biggest complaint was the free breakfast we ate across the street at McDonald’s. There was a half hearted attempt at a breakfast some kind of pancake machine and 3 yogurts a little cereal 6 mini muffins and a few pieces of bread didn’t look too inviting. Ok for a quick stop over for the price.

Worn out squeaky mattress on a cheap metal platform, no box springs. Worst bed ever. Hand soap the size of a silver dollar. Worn out desk chair with hunks of upholstery missing. Everything at breakfast is small—small cups for coffee and fake orange juice, tiny yogurt cups half the size of a normal yogurt, tiny muffins, tiny pancakes. No spoons or bowls for cereal or instant oatmeal. Front desk staff who speak broken English. Had to return our magnetic room keys twice, doors would not open.

The lobby looks just like the photo, clean and friendly. The rooms, though... whoa. We had 2 room,s and both couches were very stained, like they belonged in an outside garage. We flipped the cushions, and they were just as stained. The headboards were even stained (blood????). The fridge, microwave, and TVs didn't work. The outlets were loose, phone block wouldn't stayed plugged in to any of them. The breakfast: some packets of oatmeal, a few bananas and some coffee. Parking lot was safe and well lit. Check in / out was easy. Luckily, our group took it in good humor but we won't be back. Due to the car show this weekend, the rates were super high... very disappointed in how much we spent vs the quality we received.

Don’t expect breakfast when staying here. There was rotten oranges the whole week there and the milk and orange “juice” was reused every morning. They were only “open” during the week, and only for about 45 mins. Truly a joke of a free breakfast. Also the pool was closed. And the elevator had no paper work verifying inspection. I’m local and needed a place while my water pipes were being replaced. I recommend this place if you are just in the area tor a couple days. Just don’t expect what they describe.

I booked hotel in Marion because of graduation at IWU. I was looking for amenities such as a pool and free breakfast which it said it offered. The pool was not Open and there was no breakfast. Highly disappointed I was supposed to stay two days but left that next morning. The elevator was really scary and would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

You definitely get what you pay for. Rooms smelled funky, bathrooms were minimally stocked. Standing water in the bathtub when we arrived. Lights in the lobby were flickering. Internet was slow and intermittent. Cable on the small TV kept cutting out. Beds were uncomfortable….. Other than that, it was fine

The people are great, I stay almost every 2 weeks… but this time the fridge didn’t work, WiFi didn’t work, tv had multiple spots messed up on the screen, so this stay wasn’t as happy as the others.

It was dirty and disrepair. Staff was very uninterested in helping anybody no phone in the bedroom TV didn’t work stains and repairs needed to be done in the bathroom. Facility was disgusting.

Lighting fixtures in the room are falling off the walls, tv remote was useable but broken, shower wall was cracked, door handle to the room was falling off and could not get into the room easily. Staff just tells you to lift up and down constantly until you get in, they knew ahead of time the issues with the door handle. The doors were scratched to hell, curtains are falling down, windows looked like they had something painted over them at some point, the exhaust fan in the bathroom is packed with dust and hasn’t been cleaned. All this was in room 223. The lights in the main entrance lighting flickers real bad, security cameras are held up with duct tape, the pool is closed. If you want a decent place with similar rates, super 8 by Wyndham in gas city Indiana is better and worth the money. Blisspoint is not worth the money.
