We liked it was nice and that!! But the pool needs to be cleaned and they need to get the p stairs rooms plumbing fixed as we couldn't flush the toilet . So we wasnt happy about that !!!

The hotel was decorated beautifully for the holidays. They have a spacious pool area, but was disappointing that it was not heated during our November visit. My Grandkids swam, but it was sure cold!! Overall the room was good and a quiet stay.

Always a good place to stay when in Monticello. Staff are very good. Our room was updated, A/C worked great, beds comfortable, with fridge, micro, and good TV channels. Great swim pool inside. Good breakfast. Will stay here again.

I picked this hotel because of the pool and the continental breakfast because I had children with me. Upon arrival, we were not told at check-in that the pool had been shut down by the Health Dept. We soon found out that it had been shut down 10 days earlier and still was not up and running. Continental breakfast left a lot to be desired, and we had ants in our room and smoke detector was literally hanging off the ceiling by a wire. And on top of all this, the Wi-Fi was down as well.

Staff are incredible..helpful and juts overall very friendly. Place was super quiet and has a lot of amenities like the gym and pool. Also, the breakfast is really good relative to most places.

Clean and well maintained. The hotel is closed to highway and gas station but in the back you have beautiful views ( trees and little lakes ). It was perfect spot to walk our puppy . They have a Keurig coffee maker in the lobby with Starbucks cups . Very well stocked breakfast bar but you have to get there earlier. Overall very good experience and will definitely stay there again.

They have a Keurig coffee maker in the lobby with Starbucks cups . Very well stocked breakfast bar but you have to get there earlier. Spiders, killed 2. Breakfast - guessing the quality is standard for a BW, but then I dont normally stay at a BW. We only chose this hotel bc it was a college fb weekend and this was the closest hotel (30 min away) we could find at a "reasonable" price. Some lightbulbs out. Door jam lock was broken. No maid service unless requested. Side door taped over, so dn require a key. The best part of the hotel was the scenery out the back window of a wooded creek...which was probably the source of the spiders, but it was pretty. Room coffee bad, but they had a kureg with Starbucks k cups in the lobby

Side and back deck was nice to view nature. Quiet and decent bedding. Good coffee downstairs. Refrigerator had to be replaced as it didnt work. Towels were stained and missing or not provided multiple days. Privacy tag was not heeded.

Room was dirty and bathroom toilet had not been cleaned. Gave us a different room and it was even worse. Smoke alarm hanging from ceiling. Pry matks on ddor inside and out. Paid 130 dollars and it wasnt even worh 70. Will never stay at a best Western ever again. Do not recommend!!

Spacious lobby and room, friendly staff. Nothing fancy but no complaints. They do allow smoking in some of the rooms so if you are very sensitive to that, I would maybe reconsider. My room was non smoking but had a bit of a smoky smell.

The hotel is beautiful. The room was lovely and clean, but the bed was rock hard. The breakfast hot foods were cold, and several people tried to find someone to fill the waffle batter, but no one was at the front desk for about an hour. I just left my key cards in the box after waiting. It really was a lovely place, though, and clean.

The property is well manicured and rooms were clean. I would have rated the stay higher but we were traveling with 2 dogs and there was an up-charge of 10 dollars a day per pet. When we checked in a very rude clerk (afternoon) first ignored us when checking in and once acknowledged us proceeded to tell us the online was incorrect and said that we owed 40 per pet per night. I pointed out the online price is why we picked this location so he called and scolded “someone” to change the listing then proceeded to charge us 10 and 20 for the larger dog. Upon checking out I asked the very professional day clerk to investigate and she reversed the extra charges. I hated to rate staff low due to one clerk (afternoon) at check-in but he was one of the rudest people I have ran across in this setting.

The stay was excellent! I've paid a lot more and received far less from many hotels. The room was clean and comfortable. Pet fee reasonable. The grounds at the back of the hotel very scenic. Staff was accommodating. They even have an EV charger. I would definitely stay here again.

A quiet gem just off the highway. We had a comfortable night here - room was clean, beds were comfy. A nice view out the window of a pond and woods was a surprise! Breakfast ends early (at 9) but service was friendly.

I liked the Plant and couches on the second floor. I didn't like the Reception area or employees, very unprofessional. I appreciate your free breakfast, but that was horrible too. I didn't like how isolated the hotel was.

The hotel is beautiful. The room was lovely and clean, but the bed was rock hard. The breakfast hot foods were cold, and several people tried to find someone to fill the waffle batter, but no one was at the front desk for about an hour. I just left my key cards in the box after waiting. It really was a lovely place, though, and clean.

3 guests only two towels. No toilet paper. Refrigerator was wide open and hot upon arrival. Breakfast was a joke.

Stayed here to go into Monticello to visit Prairie Fire Glass (beauty shop). Pretty quiet with restaurant right next door (walkable). Breakfast has a cool conveyor pancake maker machine that you "wave" at to get it started. Only complaint is that breakfast ended at 9. COME ON...10 am is becoming the norm everywhere else. People were coming down after 9 and were not too happy.

Nice room, clean & fresh. Breakfast was very limited even at 8 am. Only white bread & prepackaged coffee cake for breads. Hash browns & egg casserole were drowning in cheese. I couldn’t find any sweetener for my cereal in the breakfast area or coffee bar. A pitcher of water would be nice. OJ & apple juice were available, as well as Activia yogurt & prepackaged boiled eggs.

The room was clean and staff was really nice and welcoming. Complimentary snacks in the lobby. Pool looked nice if we'd had time to use it. Treadmill not functioning, not many breakfast options. We will stay there again and plan to eat/exercise elsewhere.

No public ice maker. Evening check in agent stated that he would have to "go get some". He didn't seem very friendly and I don't know if I would have had him touch my trash bags much less handle ice for me. Asking about it the next morning the checkout person said "oh, the owner says she's working on it". Breakfast was dismal at best with juice being scarce and eggs/sausage/potatoes not re-filled for a room that wasn't exactly busy. The bathroom on these "recently remodeled" units had a 1/2" gap between the tub and the tile as well as having cracked tiles, a door that swung in to the tub and bunched up the floor towel. The A/C in the room didn't keep up at all, especially when the outside temp wasn't ricidulously hot. Definitely a 1 out of 10 considering that the rate was jacked up because of a weekend event. Usually prices get raised because you have something to offer, not just because "you're there".

We had a wonderful stay! The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always helpful. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The breakfast was excellent with a great variety of options, and the location was perfect for everything we wanted to do. The only downside was that the pool wasn’t heated because the heater was damaged during recent storms. The hotel let us know they are in the process of replacing it, so it sounds like it will be fixed soon. Other than that, everything was wonderful. We had a great experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay! Family of 3

The property was clean but very worn. TV didn’t work but they got it going(it was in plugged), phone did not work, 3 people were staying we only had 2 bath towels. Deck off the pool-broken spindles, loose boards and junk on it. Breakfast was bad, waffles poor taste, my grandson could not eat, 1 bottle of water in fridge, 2 hot dishes poor taste, my husband and I had a piece of toast with peanut which sufficed and we took our grandson to Casey’s and got breakfast.
