Bed was uncomfortable, pillows were horrible and lumpy, and a blue light flashing constantly on heat/ac unit all made for a horrible night stay.

BEWARE this hotel discriminates against service animals and pets. They say they accept them but when you bring them they give you a horrible time. They kicked us out because we had and vent to attend for our five year old daughter and left our pets in the room. Never heard of that before and we travel with our fur babies everywhere! Do not stay here if you can avoid it! Breakfast is horrible staff is underwhelming and presence is okay at best.

Great Stay at Best Western Monticello! We had a great stay! The location was easy to get to, check-in was quick and simple, and the room was clean with comfortable beds for a good night's sleep. The bathroom was a little small and outdated, but it was clean, and that's what matters most to me! It was stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion, although the lotion dispenser was empty. Breakfast was a nice bonus with a good variety of options, including scrambled eggs, bacon, cereal, oatmeal, toast, Belgian waffles, juices, and coffee. I had the Belgian waffles, and they were delicious! 🧇☕ Overall, a clean, comfortable, and convenient place to stay. We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good overnight stay in Monticello!

First, Hotels.com lists this property as having a hot tub, which was one of the main reasons we chose to stay here, but upon arrival we found out there is no hot tub there. I feel this is horribly misleading and that both hotels.com and the hotel itself need to fix the property description ASAP so that more customers are not mislead. Second, the pool is a nice amenity but it was freezing cold and the steps to get into it rickety and dangerous. That's a liability i would think the hotel would want to address. There's also an air hockey table but no way to play it unless you ask staff for the puck and paddles. We tried doing this but were told no as it was closing soon. Not sure why they couldn't just let us play for a few minutes. As for the rooms they are very dated and the sheets very thin and there's limited outlets and some were loose. I had to use tape in order to keep a plug attached so i could charge my phone. Overall not a horrible place to stay but for the price I was expecting better service and a room that had better upkeep.
