Expensive but you get what you pay for. Excellent food and customer service. Very clean and surprisingly quiet for being in downtown Waikīkī. Beautiful gardens and excellent beach access

We stayed in the tower in a King room (high floor) with an ocean view. Room was clean and comfortable. View was beautiful, though the sunset view was partially blocked by another hotel. Hotel was beautifully maintained and staff was friendly and helpful. Enjoyed Waikiki beach, drinks and food at Mai Tai Bar. Beach felt safer this visit as there were not as many homeless people wandering it. Enjoyed our time at the Royal Hawaiian!

Amazing property in the heart of Waikiki, we had an unobstructed view of the ocean. Rarely any other property can compare. Room sizes are modest and the hotel is historic so its not impeccable. However, if you want Hawaiian vibes with the lush feeling of Hawaii this is a great place to stay. Staff was very friendly. Also, one negative they have NO room service. So make sure to be prepared for that, which was a bummer but the restaurants and the ambiance make it worth it.
