The location was really good. Super close to the beach. McDonald’s right across the street. Walkable to city center (international marketplace, Target, bars). Pool area has nice Infiniti pool that overlooks ocean, which is really nice, but it can get pretty crowded. Elevator situation could be better, but it’s tolerable… Sometimes when there are lots of people, it could take a long time to get to your floor. It’s noticeable, but not nearly as bad as some other hotels I’ve stayed at… a minor complaint for otherwise a great hotel to stay at!

We really liked the display at night on the building, aquarium feedings, location to Waikiki surfing and infinity pool with ocean view. Next time we will bring our tennis rackets.

Nice hotel, close to everything in walking distance. The pool,area is a bit chaotic not enough lounge chairs for a large hotel. For $54.00 a night resort fee, I expect to lay in a lounge chair next to my husband, could not do this once in 7 days. The floating loungers in the pool are all marked reserved with nobody sitting in them for hours.

Love this hotel. We stayed at Alohilani for 7 days. The beach, shops and restaurants are all walking distance. You have to check out the Swell Bar which is located by the pool with great music. I thought I was at the club but grown and sexy vibes. The food and drinks we ordered was very good. I didn't get a chance to go to the other restaurants at the hotel as I had my list of places I wanted to check out on the island. The parking is the only thing that I didn't like but with any hotel in Waikiki, you probably would be paying a steep price for valet. You can do self parking at that hotel which is a tad bit cheaper. However, If you are a hotel guest staying there, and there is no parking stall that's not reserved for valet, you can valet your car for the price of self parking. Just FYI, for those who decide to rent a car and staying at Alohilani. Other than that, this hotel and my room was very clean and staff was great and so friendly! Highly recommend!

We decided to stay where we were and share our experience with our 550,000 followers. Oh..and there was a old rusty crib that stayed outside our room door our entire stay. We also had dirty disgusting old raggedy ironing board. Discolored furniture, aged, cracked patio furniture. Dirty carpet throughout.

We enjoyed the beach proximity. However the conditions of the hotel did not match its prestige image. Aside from finding our pillows were dirty—smudged with dirty—we would often be bothered by noise coming from the pipes under the sink. It was loud, unexpected and often went off late at night. Staff were friendly and the views from the hotel were good. The elevators were also tricky, not enough space for the amount people coming in and out, took a lot of time to get down from the 3rd floor, elevators were very full and busy.

The only thing that I could complain about was the fact that the carpet in our room wasn't vacuumed properly when we first arrived. There was actually toenail clippings on the floor! The rest of the room was very nice and the bedding clean. Comfortable bed and pillows and a clean bathroom.

The checkin process didn’t go so smoothly. House keeping doesn’t come on a scheduled basis. Every day we were left without clean towels until we requested them and house keeping would show up at random times of the evening. We later read that we can opt out of housekeeping service and get food/drink vouchers for each day you do so. However we never once mentioned that we wanted to opt out. We found roaches in our fridge and in the dresser drawers. The showers don’t look to have been scrubbed in a long while. The bathrooms are also extremely small. The amenities are where they sold me. The pool area is nice. Breakfast was good if you’re lucky enough to find indoor seating haha The service staff was responsive to the roach issues and gave us one hour to switch rooms. Staff were all friendly. The hotel itself is photogenic but needs some work. Mahalo!

The location is great. Room with ocean view. Pool area is beautiful with a great view too, live music every night. All the staff are INCREDIBLE, very helpful, always trying to help, rooms are cleaned daily (including changing bed linen). Sounds perfect BUT 1. in my opinion the carpets in the rooms and corridors look terrible, they probably specially chose the print so that stains would not be visible, they really spoil the overall look of the hotel. 2. some furniture in the room looks outdated and some parts in the bathroom were broken. There was also no extractor fan. These points, although not pleasant, are not critical. But I was SHOCKED when I opened the fridge and saw huge cockroaches! Then I found them in the dresser. I have no complaints about the staff, as they were top notch, but about the management...

Walk to beach.The room has poor sound insulation and you can hear the voices from the next room. The cleaning staff do a good job when tipped, but are rather perfunctory when not. I found ants on the bed and reported it to the front desk, but no one came to change the sheets.

Clean room, pleasant staff, sizable balcony and nice but small pool area. The proximity to the beach was also a huge plus. It is listed as a 5 star property but I would not rate it that high. There were no in room amenities, the carpet was worn looking, the bathroom was very cramped. The walls were also very plain. So much more ambiance could be created with a few more pieces of art.

We arrived after a 23 and a half hour journey from London and not one person offered to help with our luggage. We complained about this on the hotels.com "how was your check-in" and heard nothing from the hotel in response. We needed a doctor the next day and asked at the Front Desk. The girl didn't have a clue how to help people from the UK not used to the US medical system. The room was comfy enough but the bathroom was ridiculously small. God knows how the big overweight Americans cope in that tiny bathroom and shower. I would say the photos of this hotel are VERY flattering. We had breakfast included as in a club room. The breakfast was very chaotic and not at all relaxing. View from our beach view room was very nice, although the glass isn't thick or soundproofed and you can hear the road, cars and the ocean all night.

Its great hotel. The location is great too. Its located on near the Honolulu zoo. Which means less congestion by cars and pedestrians. My oceanfront room was amazing as always. The only negative I have is the windows are single pane. The nose is clear even at night when I am trying to sleep.

None of the rooms listed as partial or ocean view actually offer an ocean view. To see even a glimpse of the ocean, you have to step out onto the balcony. The upgrade isn’t worth it, and I definitely didn’t feel this was a five-star resort. While it’s closer to Waikiki Beach, which is convenient, the Hilton up the road is a far superior resort with much better rooms.

Location is the best thing about this hotel. The Beds were not uncomfortable, but not amazing. The carpet looked like acid washed concrete, and you got the feel of being in an abandoned building. The roof top pool and bar were nice but would have been better if they made adults only after 8pm as there were always kids splashing and jumping from hot tub to pool. Location is across the road from Waikiki beach and couldn't be better.

Our flight was cancelled and Delta airlines sent us to a horrific hotel. We checked out the next day and stayed here and the service was wonderful. Renee was amazing as she noticed we had a terrible experience elsewhere, got us checked-in without having to wait till 4 pm so we can enjoy the little time we had left in Hawaii.

I've previously stayed at Alohilani Resort Waikiki and had a wonderful experience, which is why I chose your establishment again to celebrate my son's 3rd birthday today. However, my recent check-in experience fell significantly short of expectations. We arrived at approximately 1:30 PM and were informed that our room wasn't ready, which is understandable since official check-in is at 3:00 PM. I was told I'd be notified once the room became available. Additionally, when I inquired about the Expedia offer of 20% off food and beverages, the staff member seemed unaware of this promotion, leaving me feeling uncomfortable, as though I had fabricated the offer. Upon returning around 3:15 PM, I encountered an extensive line at the check-in counter. Despite my visible foot injury and wearing a medical boot, I had no choice but to stand and wait to obtain our room key. This added unnecessary discomfort to an already challenging day. Furthermore, I was disappointed that, although it was my son's birthday—a special occasion clearly mentioned at check-in—there was no acknowledgment, gesture, or even a simple "Happy Birthday" wish. Given your establishment's reputation in hospitality, this oversight was particularly disheartening. Overall, the service during this visit was far below the standard expected from a purported five-star hotel. I sincerely hope my feedback helps in improving future guest experiences.

I was a bit let down with the service of this 5 star hotel. Room check in was delayed by a hour and a half. They provided some resort credit to make up for it, but it was still frustrating as I was tired, hungry, and hot (no AC in lobby) after a long flight and just wanted to get to my room. The staff didn’t seem too sympathetic either. The room itself was ok, up until we got ants in the room. I had a coconut water on the table that still had some liquid in it and found ants all over it. Thank goodness that was on the last night. The hotel didn’t really do anything other than to send someone to our room to pick up our garbage. I enjoyed having the ABC store along with coffee and restaurant choices within the hotel. The location is great and so walkable to the beach and main shopping areas. The pool area is okay. It looked more amazing in the photos than IRL. The staff for Swell Bar were so nice though. Probably the nicest of the staff we encountered. For the whole hotel, half the staff were really nice and the other half didn’t seem to care at all. I guess I expected more for a 5 star hotel. For the value and service provided, I probably would not stay here again. Beautiful hotel on the outside but just okay on the inside.

The property is very well maintained for how large it is! The staff is incredible here, rooms are very clean and have modern amenities. The resort can feel crowded at times by the elevators, but that is expected with being in Waikiki! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Overall a good stay with some hiccups. The location is excellent- couldn’t be better. Very close to the beach, though you’ll need to cross the road. Expansive view of the mountain and part of the beach with the Mountain View room. The lobby area has a beautiful aquarium. Food options are great around the hotel. The rooms are great too. The service isn’t good. On several occasions, I encountered issues. The Expedia.

Property Security followed my sister back to our room and asked to enter our room because they claimed to have smelled "smoke"! Although there was no smoking on the property. It was scary and intrusive. I had to inform management of this extremely disturbing experience and accusation. Management seemed receptive of the feedback and offered just an apology. Please be safe, Hotel security does not always mean patrons are secure, something we learned staying at this property. So disappointing, the treatment of security is very poor or at least with certain (specific) individuals they choose to target and give poor treatment, this even occurred after spending thousands at the resort during our stay!

I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding several issues we experienced during our recent stay at your hotel. The second night I received a letter from management under my door stating that they were charging me $500 for smoking in the room. I called to have a manager come up to check since I don’t smoke and that it was from the hair dryer, waited for 1 hr and no one showed up. Then, I got a text from management asking me to prove my whereabouts at the time the silent smoke alarm had gone off and to prove that I wasn’t smoking. The audacity to accuse someone without checking with them was outrageous. If anything, they would have to prove that I was smoking, there was absolutely no smoking smell in the room since I don’t smoke! The last night, they didn’t even give us towels and we had to call and ask for them. Just awful service and it really messed up our experience and vacation.

Its great hotel. The location is great too. Its located on near the Honolulu zoo. Which means less congestion by cars and pedestrians. My oceanfront room was amazing as always. The only negative I have is the windows are single pane. The nose is clear even at night when I am trying to sleep.

The location was really good. Super close to the beach. McDonald’s right across the street. Walkable to city center (international marketplace, Target, bars). Pool area has nice Infiniti pool that overlooks ocean, which is really nice, but it can get pretty crowded. Elevator situation could be better, but it’s tolerable… Sometimes when there are lots of people, it could take a long time to get to your floor. It’s noticeable, but not nearly as bad as some other hotels I’ve stayed at… a minor complaint for otherwise a great hotel to stay at!

The elevators for the floor we were on were TERRIBLY slow, FLOOR 25, and even broke down on Friday to where we didn’t have access to our room at all - THIS WAS UNACCEPTABLE and I will not stay at this resort again. Beds were too hard.

I read a lot of reviews and almost changed our hotel but so glad we didn't! The staff was so friendly, amazing location to the beach/shops/restaurants. Yes self-parking is $50 but we always found a spot. Pro-tip: hit the pool between 6-9pm for the happy hour special and live music :-)

Room was bright and spacious with a great view of the beach. Bathroom had a not so pleasant mildewy scent. Hotel staff were absolutely amazing from the moment you drop off your car to the ones you find in the hallways. Wish they served breakfast by the pool or had another restaurant option that served food all day so you didn’t have to leave the hotel however, hotel is conveniently located to a great number of restaurants and has access to an ABC store from the inside of the hotel.

Love this hotel. We stayed at Alohilani for 7 days. The beach, shops and restaurants are all walking distance. You have to check out the Swell Bar which is located by the pool with great music. I thought I was at the club but grown and sexy vibes. The food and drinks we ordered was very good. I didn't get a chance to go to the other restaurants at the hotel as I had my list of places I wanted to check out on the island. The parking is the only thing that I didn't like but with any hotel in Waikiki, you probably would be paying a steep price for valet. You can do self parking at that hotel which is a tad bit cheaper. However, If you are a hotel guest staying there, and there is no parking stall that's not reserved for valet, you can valet your car for the price of self parking. Just FYI, for those who decide to rent a car and staying at Alohilani. Other than that, this hotel and my room was very clean and staff was great and so friendly! Highly recommend!

Five Stars for an Unforgettable Stay! Our stay at the Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach exceeded all expectations. The room was standard (even though we paid for the diamond room) $2,100 for only 4 nights/5 days. Issues with the room: dusty. no one cleaned the drawers (trash was still left inside) on the 3rd night we stayed I found a small cockroach near the small refrigerator!!!! I called the staff and they said they would look into it - they did not notify me if they did or did not. Bathroom: was extremely small with no air exhaust/vent! for ex. my daughter who is 7 was using the restroom - she still needs help cleaning herself, so when you open the door, the door hits her legs. It's very hard to get into the bathroom. Also, if someone is using the restroom going #2 - the smell stays in there and seeps out into the room bc there is NO air VENT! It's gross to smell other's #2! Pool: the pool was so cold! The beach was wayyy warmer! If I am paying $2,100 I expect for the pool to be at least warm! There also also no chairs available to sit outside the pool anytime we went to the pool. We had to sit on the floor. They don't have enough chairs for people by the pool or umbrellas. I also purchased two pina coladas drinks ($40), they had barley no alcohol!! weak drinks. won't be coming back to this hotel.

There also also no chairs available to sit outside the pool anytime we went to the pool. We had to sit on the floor. They don't have enough chairs for people by the pool or umbrellas. I also purchased two pina coladas drinks ($40), they had barley no alcohol!! weak drinks. won't be coming back to this hotel.
