The staff were kind and amazing. Made the stay and the check in and out process so easy. The hotel is in an amazing spot in Waikiki. Less than a ten minute walk to Waikiki beach and other shopping stores and restaurants. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in Waikiki. They also offer a variety of amenities like a clean pool, gym, washing machine and dryer, towels, beach chairs, umbrellas, and free snacks!

The hotel is in the best location, very close to everything but quietly tucked away so it’s still very relaxing. Our room overlooking the water was superb, coffee and water plus popcorn at the lobby are sweet touches. However, for us, it’s the staff who are the true gems of this hotel. Special shout out to Erica and Khrycel. They are very gracious! Will definitely be back!

Nice place & friendly staff, with lots of restaurants and shopping opportunities within walking distance. The only drawback is the parking. There is free street parking IF you can find it. I did find a spot 1 of the 4 days I stayed there, but it was 5 blocks away. Otherwise it is $40 a night for valet parking. It adds up quick.

This was a very adequate hotel in a very convenient location. Reasonable rates. Valet to get car was super quick every time. Very small pool and not sure what you get for the $29 day amenity fee. A little run down and our toilet leaked all over the bathroom floor late one night, fixed quickly the next morning.

Very solid place to stay. 24h complimentary coffee/tea bar was awesome. The room itself was great no issues of any kind there. I wish I could’ve stayed longer.

Good hotel and nice staff. Location is a bit of a walk from the main Waikiki so be prepared to walk a bit. Room was out dated for the price but clean and didn’t feel nasty or bad sleeping in the room. Loved water bottle refill station in the lobby. They store luggage too which is great if arriving before check in or a late departure flight. Sound proofing of the room was alright, I could hear my neighbors across the hall sometimes

We loved our stay at Coconut! Hotel: The staff was wonderful, and I loved all the amenities - water filling station, coffee all day, popcorn happy hour, and beach towel availability. Location: We go to Hawaii often, and this is one of my favorite areas - walkable to everywhere in Waikiki and then to Ala Moana mall as well. Room: Ours had a kitchenette, which is key for us and our lanai overlooked the canal and mountains - stunning! Note: Parking is valet only and $40, but they are quick and it was nice to have a parking option.

Nice and clean property. Close to everything and safe. Rooms have not been renovated in a while but had everything one needs and was also very clean and comfortable. Like many large cities, Waikiki (including this street) has its share of homeless people. This could bother some people. Do not expect peace and quiet at night. The area is super busy with almost 24 hour traffic and all kinds of noises. Clean small gym that does the job. The pool is small and will accommodate 1 family at a time. The late afternoon free popcorn is a nice touch. The personnel was ok. Nobody goes out of their way to help but questions are answered politely. Hotels are expensive in Waikiki and we were hoping to find a good value. I think we found that at the Coconut Hotel, but we may decide to pay an extra $50 per night to get to the next level next time we are in town.

It was sooooo dirty. The shower curtains had orange stains on them, the walls were stained, the bed sounded like it was on a cardboard box and was so uncomfortable that after two days my husband- who never complains about anything- mentioned how much it hurts to move because of his spine. None of the cabinets closed correctly because everything is so old. Like this hotel charged $239 a night- buy a new shower curtain for $20. Buy a mattress for under a thousand. I don’t blame the cleaners, the owner of this hotel needs to pay for upgrades because you can’t clean this place anymore. I swear the carpet in the rooms is original and so disgusting in a hot tropical climate- change it to proper flooring. It is moist and wet. Staff were great but I truly think whoever owns this hotels needs to invest some money into it. The place is so old- you can’t clean it spotless anymore. The bathroom cabinets are yellow stained with dirt, grout between the floors and shower tiles is yellow and stained. Honestly - for the price- pay a little more and stay elsewhere. The feeling of the shower when you want to be clean but are scared of touching the walls, the curtain or anything because it’s so gross- is not a place you want to stay in.

The staff was extremely nice but that was the only thing good about this hotel room. The lock on the door didn’t work, the bathroom had black mold all over it, the shower leaked like crazy, all the drains didn’t drain properly so the tub and sink filled up as soon as you started using them. The hotel also doesn’t tell you parking is $40 a night before tax and all the other hotels around are only $20 ish a night. I mentioned all my issues and was told maintenance would look into it but they never did. The staff was nice but everything else about the hotel was horrible!!! I definitely would not recommend this hotel to anyone!!!

Old, not updated, rooms are not that clean, needs paining and carpet. Pictures make it look nice. Checkin was long and room keys don’t work. Do not recommend.

We planned a last minute trip to HI from CA. For the 3 generation trip we got 2 rooms for what would’ve been a room price so the value was great. Location was good. I’m only talking about the room I stayed in. It still had the old slated glass windows and closer to the street so the noise was super loud. There was definite quietness when I went to the other room. Apparently they’re replacing all these old windows, after I leave. The staff were nice but I have to say they seem to forget what I asked for. Like I asked for extra towels and they’ll forget to bring them. So we had to ask agin at the end of the day. Otherwise they’re good. Overall, I feel a step above what I paid for so if I have to stay last minute for the price I’d.

Super friendly staff. Nice services. Lobby has plenty of coffee/tea. Close to Waikiki and some good dining places and cafe. Air-con was good. Only drawback was that our room is a bit noisy even with windows closed since the window doors were not sound-proof, can hear traffic noises easily at night. Shower ran very slow, had to be patient. Great location anyway, wouldn’t complain too much.

We loved the location of this hotel (not smack in the middle of Waikiki, but close to everything we needed), but because the windows were not double-paned, we heard a LOT of street noise (earplugs were provided). The room was definitely dated, but very clean, and the staff were super-friendly.

Comfortable room, convenient location. cleanliness/room cleaners can be improved. Front desks are not friendly, there was a guy that was just scrolling through his phone and ignoring us. The hotel is fine. It needs an update for sure as the pictures are way “newer” than reality. The staff was fine. However, I was concerned that I kept got 2 incorrect pending charges while I was there. (Double billing of the final charge, and then an additional pending of the deposit I paid to Expedia.) The staff took care of it, but still a bit concerning.

Watch your bill Dodgy. We were hit with additional amenity fees of 29 dollars and 34 in taxes when we checked in and given no receipt for the charges. They expected me to ok this transaction without seeing the final price on the swipe machine. When I asked for a receipt they failed to give me one. Also I received, via Expedia, upgrade opportunities. I chose to upgrade from a city view to a Mountain View. For slightly more money. The front desk clerk could not tell me if I had received the upgrade; or, if I had been charged for it. Certainly looked like we didn’t get it. Don’t mind that but they were choosing the room for us. They should know if the room is designated a City view room or a Mountain View room. Lastly, our AC was very loud. Will not stay here again.

Thank you to front desk staff members Linda and Shanatle for their friendly and professional manner with check in and Platinum level service. They went above and beyond to ensure my check in was expeditious and welcoming. All staff from outside maintenance cleaners to housekeeping were super friendly. The hotel common areas, room and grounds are very clean. Location is great and short easy walk to Waikiki beach, restaurants & shopping. Rooms have all necessary items for a nice stay-comfortable beds, bathroom amenities, refrig, microwave, safe and quiet ac. The only thing I would change would be more sound proof windows in the room in order to dampen the noise from the street. Thank you staff of Coconut Waikiki Hotel for making my stay awesome!!

We arrived way too early (6am) for check in time but were able to secure a room before 12pm. I mean that’s better than 3pm and the receptionist was sweet enough to give us a discount on early check in fee. Location is also convenient with convenience stores nearby.

It was the perfect stay for us! We liked the convenience of being so close to walk to all the restaurants and shops. The employees we interacted with also made the stay even better with their kindness and hospitality! Annie and Linda plus Robert with valet were exceptional! The coconut Hotel is in a good location just minutes away from everything from shopping dining and the beach. The Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. They were very knowledgeable of the area. They are a good asset to the team as well as the company. The hotel was very nice and clean. I will definitely be returning to stay with them.

Just amazing location. Close to everything. Arrived late and rode the bus directly to the airport. No need for a car as beach, shopping, and food were all close. Troy was awesome. Would certainly stay again without hesitation. Thanks for a wonderful break. Peace

The property was clean and well maintained, unfortunately there were no amenities available for food or drinks. The staff upon arrival was not very well informed about the area but the next day the staff were very helpful. Overall it was a good experience, thank you to the front desk for providing luggage storage.

The hotel is in the best location, very close to everything but quietly tucked away so it’s still very relaxing. Our room overlooking the water was superb, coffee and water plus popcorn at the lobby are sweet touches. However, for us, it’s the staff who are the true gems of this hotel. Special shout out to Erica and Khrycel. They are very gracious! Will definitely be back!

Street noise was considerable. Price was unbeatable! Valet parking was always quick and courteous. All staff were pleasant, helpful, attentive. 24-hour coffee, tea, & hot chocolate was appreciated, and area was kept clean - entire lobby was always neat and clean. Popcorn available afternoons.

We loved our stay at Coconut! Hotel: The staff was wonderful, and I loved all the amenities - water filling station, coffee all day, popcorn happy hour, and beach towel availability. Location: We go to Hawaii often, and this is one of my favorite areas - walkable to everywhere in Waikiki and then to Ala Moana mall as well. Room: Ours had a kitchenette, which is key for us and our lanai overlooked the canal and mountains - stunning! Note: Parking is valet only and $40, but they are quick and it was nice to have a parking option.

Very cute hotel! Beautiful view of the canal from our balcony. A nice spot to stay if you are wanting to spend time exploring the island during the day. Walkable distance from the strip, restaurants, and the Waikiki Beach. I wondered about the location and the safety due to price, but we felt safe even walking back at night. The staff was great about combining some reservations when we decided to extend our stay. The only downside was that there did not seem to be the free breakfast.

This is an older hotel, and it is seriously in need of a makeover. The room was small. The bed was very old and super uncomfortable. The bathroom was very small, too. I was there 6 nights, but my room was cleaned and sheets changed only once. There is no restaurant or even grab and go for snacks or water. The pool was tiny and the area around it kinda run down and no sun. Street noise was very loud most of the night. Wasn’t super clean. Paint was chipping and was patched. I wouldn’t stay again.
