This is a family-owned motel, conveniently located near rt 95. The owner has put his heart into renovations and gardening. There is a nice hillside view of the natural environment surrounding the place so there is no feeling of being so near to the highway, and he has a nice picnic area and special plants he tends. The room was spacious with plenty of counter space. Although there is no breakfast provided at the motel, the mini mart just down the road had a good selection of freshly made food and coffee that was delicious and inexpensive. There is also a Dunkin Donuts next door as an alternative breakfast choice.

Definitely not equipped for handicapped!

The staff were great. Everything was clean. Walls are on the thin side. No complimentary coffee/tea, but Dunkin is one minute away. You will enjoy your stay as long as you aren’t expecting the Ritz.

Wish there was an ice machine

everything is perfect except I didn't know it was a second floor, I crawled up the stairs and will have to crawl down stairs to keep from getting hurt, other than that the staff has been wonderful

The place is a dump, it was dirty and doesn't even have Ice. You have to go to the store to buy your own. Bed's are very uncomfortable, the Air Conditioner was loud

This property is very date. The owners are trying to upgrade, but with limited success. Only food available was fast food at truck stop. English is second language for owners so although they were very nice people, communication was very difficult.

Cheap old-fashioned Motel. Expensive ($161) but we stayed on a weekend night during the summer so there was limited choice... It really is just a cheap motel. The staircase was rickety, there was trash under the stairs, the exterior maintenance was below average. Next time I will spend more at a more modern hotel. Overall it was acceptably clean but really a budget standard.

We had a great stay at stardust, although a little dated on outside, rooms were very clean an comfortable. It was a good stay for what we were looking for.

Our room was absolutely discussing. Killed multiple bugs and spiders. Room smelled musky and stale smoke. Stains on the pillow cases and sheets. The extra furniture in the room that use to be yellow were black from the wear and tear. Was to stay two nights.... left after the first. Once I got home, had to wash all my clothes as they smelled like the room.

Super out dated and dirty. There were stains all over the floors and bed and the bathroom was not clean. The worker also took a picture of my drivers license but they’re supposed to explain why… felt super unsafe and slept with the couch pushed against the door.

Our Room smelled like mold and had a terrible stale smell. The Shower Curtain was all black and mold. The shower wall had hair all over it and looked like it had not been cleaned. The lamp next to bed as we turned it on the switch broke and fell off. The floor looked and felt dirty. The only Positive thing regarding this Motel is that it is conveniently located near Westerly and beaches. I would not recommend to anyone. You are better off paying extra money for a nicer place then This Motel.

Clean and comfortable.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The facilities were clean and functional. The refrigerator was brand new. Overall, a good value.

Let me just start by saying that I let the staff know that I would be arriving way after check-in time and they were very helpful when I got there and throughout my stay. However, the room was dirty and smelled of mold, mildew and smoke even though it was listed as a non-smoking room. Many items were in disrepair and overall it was not a pleasurable stay.

The Stardust was the worst place we have ever stayed. It was infested with flies; there was mold in and around the shower; rust was on a metal panel in the bathroom; the sink leaked onto the floor; the furniture was stained and broken and missing drawers. When we spoke with management they gave us extra towels and a fly swatter. Because of time constraints we had no choice but to stay. This was a terrible place.

The walls were paper thin so I heard every word of the couple in the next room arguing (multiple times at all hours). The bathroom fan was very noisy, which would not have been a major issue except it ran whenever the bathroom light was on, and the switch was outside the bathroom.

you can hear riight through the wall, someone on the upper floors was walking back and fourth at 3.00am and sounded like they were doing construction or something..

We had a last minute booking and our stay was very easy and comfortable. The beds were lovely and the blankets were warm. The bathroom was huge and they give you individual control of the temperature in the room. It is near amenities and right off the freeway so easy to find.

Yes, the photos are a bit deceiving. Based on reviews, I expected to be horrified, but our stay was not bad at all. It's a bit run down, but it looks like they are trying to make improvements. The furniture in our room could use a little tlc, but there was a/c; a microwave, and the bathroom was updated. Sheets were clean and no bad smell in our room, though the reception area did smell a bit like curry! I would stay here again under the same circumstances.

I've stayed here about a dozen times over the last year both on Business and Personal and have always enjoyed my stay. The Room Rates are reasonable, the location is convenient, the Check-in / Check-out is easy, the Rooms are clean and the Staff is very friendly.

Room smelled like moth balls and the water did not work. I could not take a shower. When i asked to get a discount on the room,the manager said he will have to call his boss than call me. Very poor.

Very clean. Bed was very comfortable. When I had a issue they were there immediately and problem resolved. Service and staff were wonderful.

The motel was very nice and the owners were so awesome I was double charged by accident and then immediately put it back in my card he apologized profusely about it but I told him it was alright and that chime would handle it and not to worry about it other then that it was quiet and clean and if I needed anything all I had to was go downstairs and ask them and they would be happy to oblige. The room was big and clean and the bed was super comfy

I booked this hotel through Expedia for one night. We booked the more expensive option of having 2 double beds instead of one king since it was me and a friend. After arriving to the location I had to sign to get my room key. We opened the door and it was a king bed. After returning to the front desk to say it wasn't the correct room and asked to be placed in the right room we were told they had given away our double room but to contact Expedia and the front desk woman would get in contact with the owners to get this situation corrected in terms of price difference. The owners refused the request stating they still provided a room, that we signed for it, and that they wouldn't be providing a refund for the difference. How were we supposed to know it was the wrong room until we opened the door though? Which we could only do after signing for it. Even though it was their mistake and they gave away the room we booked. Mistakes happen but you expect those to be fixed. I would caution people to not stay at this motel due to the bad business practices of the owners. The only upside is that the location is relatively good I guess? Also as a side note- small places of seemingly mold and it was kinda dirty. We did find wrappers and stains on the chairs and curtains. The point of this review is the refusal of providing what I bought but it doesn't hurt to mention the other things too.

i'm a local. i like it here. when i'm having work done at my home, i stay here. quiet. close to the truck stop and dunkin' w plenty of hotel appropriate snacks !

Off the highway convenience but surrounded by lush greenery. The hotel is clean, a little mildewy but otherwise good. Also affordable. Cute sign.

The motel is ideally located near Foxwoods, Mystic and the Rhode Island beaches. The rooms are always clean and reasonably priced.

Clean, safe. Heat works well. Good for a night or two. You get what you pay for. I'm not sure how anyone could expect more than what this offers at it's price point. BBQ area and basketball net for warmer weather. You'll hear traffic if you're a light sleeper. It's fine - no more, no less.

Very basic motel room. Clean, everything functions, but a bit worn around the edges (broken screen, sticking door, etc.) Seemed priced a little high for the bare bones room and age that it is. Also no real restaurant close by that I could tell, which made finding breakfast more difficult since there is no food offered by motel. Also, walls are a bit thin - neighboring room noise carried through. Owner was very pleasant and willing to help with late arrival, etc.

It was just what we were looking for. The property was quiet, and the staff was approachable. The room was clean, and big. We will definitely be going back. It's about 20 minutes to Misquamicut State beach, which was our destination. There is a Dunkin, within walking distance. Tv in the room, refrigerator and AC was cold as ice. Ty Ty TY.
