Super 8 by Wyndham Morton Grove/Chicago

First off it’s in the weirdest spot. No elevator! No Ice machine for 2nd level. We had a group of 4.. they had 2 towels inside the room. When asked for more they came off kind of rude. The bathroom was probably the only clean thing about the entire room. Carpet was disgusting looking. Entertainment system, Desk and Side tables were covered in filth from not being properly cleaned! Door to room looked as if it’s been kicked down numerous of times. ROOM 203!! BRING GAMES cuz the TV doesn’t work.

Positive: Staff was very friendly. Location was quiet Negatives: Sheets were stained Roaches in the bathroom No pool - it’s filled in with dirt and has a tree in the middle. Outlets on lamp didn’t work

Even the parking lot was not clean of snow and neither salt used for the safety

We always look for the super 8s because they often have smoking rooms which are hard to find nowadays. They're often a bit dumpy and dingy, a sacrifice we make for our habit. This place was the cleanest, nicest, shiniest one we've ever stayed at. Decent neighborhood, great parking, and two blocks from the Mongolian restaurant that was our main reason for stopping here. Definitely will come back if we come this way again.

Not having a pool kind of sucked. Rooms were nice, ac blew cold air. Property outside needs a little tic. Overall for the money, good place to stay for a couple of nights.

Stay away!!!!!!!! My room had bedbugs!!! I found a live one crawling in the sheets while getting ready to check out. After checking more thoroughly I found more dead bedbugs behind the bed along the baseboard. I told the front desk staff who did absolutely nothing about!!! I have complained to Super8 and the owners who have also done nothing about. I will be notifying the Morton Grove, IL health department. Also the staff bang the doors early in the morning and woke me up at 6am two days in a row. Stay away!!!!!

My stay was not good the room was not clean the sheets was stained with yellow urine and other spots

Check-in and check-out were quick and easy. The room itself could have definitely been cleaner, there was trash left from the previous occupants. At one point, before my shower, I found a roach.

Bed bug was found in the room and they didn’t return our money

This hotel was a horrible experience it was absolutely filthy stains all over the bed and the walls the bathroom was covered in mold the hotel smelt like cigarettes everywhere the staff had no idea what they were doing other. They first gave us a room that was occupied and lied saying they checked out but left trash in it but the peoples personal belongings where still in the room not just trash then gave us another room that was just as filthy. I asked for a refund and was met with attitude and disrespect and had to pay a 100$ cancellation fee and only got 80$ I paid back. I don’t recommend staying here go to the red roof inn that’s about 2 minutes away

I couldn’t able to sleep whole night because of cigarette smell. I guess they didnt even used a room freshener to mask the cigarette smell. Felt horrible

The room had spatter on the walls and what looked to be mold in the poorly ventilated bathroom. There were also bed bugs, one of my childrens arms got bitten up. We pulled the bed away from the wall to find bed bug feces on the linnen (see picture) When we notified the front desk we were told we would receive a discount, we never got the discount. I also posted a review on Google about our experience and the owners replied that they took care of the bed bug issue, funny when we stayed at this hotel at the end of February 2025, infestations are not fixed that fast. The owners are dishonest. There is also no breakfast available as was advertized. BUYER BEWARE!

Strong curry smells in lobby, unable to breath when in and out of hotel because we had to go through lobby to enter the hotel. Hotel looked clean but the shower head and toilet buttens were extreamly dirty, caugh a cockroach, had to pack and leave hotel early. We will never go back there again.

Aircon/Heating unit runs like train that hit a large piece of wood bounce back rolling and stop. It happened every late night we were there two to three minutes apart. /// Employees were very accommodating

No wi-fi, no cable connection, my son and I had to use our hotspot for wi-fi for the entire time of our stay, most things in the room such as outlets, lamps, and coffee maker do not work. On check out day at 9:30am, I told the front desk I would like to extend my stay and stay in my same room. She told me I cannot because since I am scheduled to check out my room is already booked to another guest. How can that be when you assign the room up check in. But I was very disappointed because we wanted to stay. But the gentleman that works overnights and sets up the breakfast, the tall foreign lady with long hair, and the gentleman the housekeep the 2nd floor are all amazingly friendly. I even help out the housekeepers by maintaining my room clean and I wait until he is on my floor to ask for items, even though my son and I are experiencing homelessness I shared candies to the housekeeper's children.

Where to begin? The bed was awful, the toilet rocked, the tub had nothing to keep from slipping, breakfast non existent and not even a coffee pot in the room until I asked for one. Both nights included loud parties thruout the night, slamming doors. Had to checkout a day early as we couldn’t take it anymore. Pitiful

I was walked in once by the the desk clerk who thought the room was empty. I had an attempted entry at midnight by a family with a crying baby that ended up next door. The room could have used a coat of paint on many walls. The desk chair was broken. The toilet could not flush the smallest of items. The bed felt like a sheet over a box of springs.

The checkout and check in wasn’t smooth. We checked in at 4pm still didn’t have our room had to wait 25-30 minutes for room. Then we couldn’t check out cause no one came so we left keys on desk and left since there was there other parties also waiting to check out

The gentlemen at the front desk was not friendly or welcoming. However, Shu, the young woman greeted everyone whether during morning or overnight she was pleasant and approachable. Her customer service made us feel welcomed. Front desk help should always at a minimum greet the customers in the lobby. Shu’s service is examplary.

They charged my card 4 time and lied about it. My bank showed me the time stamps and they did it over a3 day period. The shower didn't have any water pressure and wouldn't get hot. Heater made a loud noise making impossible to sleep. Alex, at the front desk lied about charging my card even tho I showed him the charges on my bank statement. He then lied about being out of town when I called him to discuss my overcharges. The place is a scam. Never, ever stay there. They will steal your money and charge your card several times.

Went to check out, waited 10 minutes no one came. We called to say we’re waiting to be checked out and still waited another 10 minutes. Other parties were also lined up behind us waiting. We could here people talking but no one would help at the front desk. We left our key cards on the desk and left. Unacceptable

Well I told the lady at check in that I already paid she still wanted my card and I ended up getting charged twice for the room and of course when they refund it out takes a few days to get back in my account I get that but it inconveniences me then the TV was broken when I asked that we get a working TV she said they didn't have any more and they barely spoke English so it was just a bad experience

For our car, which I did. Then he requested credit card info for Deposit?(returnable) which I also submitted. When finished, I thought it would speed up our check in, which it DID NOT! When it was our turn to get keys, rhe clerk said he needed my ID and credit card. I explained that I had already submitted all that on my phone. He could not find any of that, so I had to give him my ID and credit card all over again!! He remained patient and calm, good job. I was hot, tired & crabby, needed to lie down, and was happy to finally get our room keys!! Check in was from 3pm to 345pm, unacceptable to me. If we had not already paid for room thru Expedia, we would have probably left after 10 to 15 minutes of waiting Lesson learned. Hubby said we"d never go there again. Kind of a shame because, for the

Excellent experience. The concierge was detailed, efficient, and welcoming. I had a nice clean and comfortable room, exactly as I had requested on Hotels.com. It was a convenient and quiet location, just what I needed!

It was a great location to visit family and take the Skokie swift to a ball game. My only problem was they offered no diet soda option, or a little more offering for breakfast

No free Bfast , toilet shower curtain has smell

Although the website said it offered coffee and breakfast items, none was offered. The picture on the website showed a stunning building, it was less that stunning, I pasted it by twice because of its worn-out appearance. The hall was worn and ripped in spots. Beneath the sink, it's had a piece of drywall ripped out, not cut out that wasn't repaired. The floor lamp had the lamp socket dangling from its base, a shock hazard. It should have been built with better soundproofing between rooms, you could hear the conversation from next door.

Breakfast was temporarily "not available" due to remodeling. The room was cold, and smelled terrible of some strong cleaning product when we entered. Toilet seat was loose, the mattress hard, and the bedsheets rough. The TV did not work at all. Everything else was OK.

We paid for 3/4 nights including the breakfast, when we checked in ,we came to know that due to some renovations, breakfast service was not served, and we weren't refunded!!

Shower exhaust fan and hair dryer did not work. The freezer part of the refrigerator did not work. The TV initially didn’t work so I called the front desk and they fixed the issue. I may have been mistaken as I thought the room would have a microwave, but it didn’t. The breakfast was sketchy the 3 mornings we were there. Sometimes there was oatmeal other times not, the hot water dispenser was always like warm. Other food items were on short supply. My mistake, as there were smoking rooms near us and walking the hallway many times smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. I thought it was a non smoking establishment. I’ll have to pay better attention next time I book a room somewhere. The staff were quite friendly though.

Smells the marijuana around you all the time. The hallway & the room. They said free breakfast ? Forget it. Just a little muffen or coffee cake and then coffee thats it. I dont want to come back this place. The pictures in the website looks good but when you get there, you’ll regret it why did you get that place. Never ever come back 😖

Staff was friendly, and property was clean. This property is definitely showing its age. Ok for one or two days, if you are only there to sleep. Hallway always smelled of smoke, but room was OK. Very limited breakfast options.
