**Travelers with service animals: BEWARE.** We stayed here for several days with our service animal. At check-in, we specifically told the front desk we had a service animal and were told it was allowed. No deposit or additional fee was mentioned. After we had already been staying there for a couple of days, we began being repeatedly confronted and harassed about the service animal and pressured to pay a “service animal fee/deposit.” When we declined, the owner changed the explanation and said it was actually a “person fee,” despite this fee not being disclosed on either the hotel's website or Hotels.com. We had already paid for our reservation, yet the hotel ultimately refused to allow us to continue staying. The hotel initially refused to refund our prepaid reservation. **To be fair, Hotels.com has been very helpful and is actively assisting us in getting our refund.** The harassment, changing explanation for the charge, and refusal to honor a prepaid reservation were extremely concerning. **If you travel with a service animal, get every policy and charge in writing before booking.**

I would not stay here again and cannot recommend this hotel. The beds were as hard as wooden boards, making it nearly impossible to get a good night's sleep. The room had a strong musty, fish-like odor that made it feel unclean from the moment I walked in. The biggest concern, however, was the environment around the property. There were several very questionable individuals hanging around the hotel, and there appeared to be possible drug activity and prostitution were taking place throughout the building. I saw people constantly being moved from room to room, which made me feel unsafe during my stay. Overall, this hotel was dirty, uncomfortable, and did not feel secure. If you're looking for a clean, safe place to stay, I would strongly recommend choosing another hotel.
