The hospitality was phenomenal! The housekeeping team replenished all of the towels, wash cloths, bath mat, and other items, and kept up with the cleanliness for a family of 5. They really did a great job! The breakfast was great and the staff was very kind. The pool was quite chilly to swim in and smaller in scale, but that's my only small dislike. Overall, I highly recommend staying here and we would choose this hotel if we came back to town. :)

At 4:50am the fire alarm went off and woke up the entire facility. It was not an actual emergency but sounded like the hotel accidentally set off the alarm and woke the entire facility. We had a long day traveling in and had a long day ahead and unfortunately I was not able to fall back asleep. The hotel staff did not acknowledge or apologize for the issue. The food quality at the free breakfast was not great like at other Holiday Inn properties.

At 4:50am the fire alarm went off and woke up the entire facility. It was not an actual emergency but sounded like the hotel accidentally set off the alarm and woke the entire facility. We had a long day traveling in and had a long day ahead and unfortunately I was not able to fall back asleep. The hotel staff did not acknowledge or apologize for the issue. The food quality at the free breakfast was not great like at other Holiday Inn properties.

My room was super huge!!! However the pool was not open :(. That’s was the point of my booked stay. I have a young son and we were visiting in verm where my daughter goes to college. Thought we could swim we are big water people - with no indoor pool at home :(. Anyway hopefully our next stay the pool is open !!!

We had absolutely no service for three days. Service as to cleaning the room, restocking the towels, emptying the waste baskets, making the beds, etc. we even spoke to the front desk each day only to find the room was attended to again. The front desk gals, did bring us fresh towels once we asked Also we had an invasion of Asian beetles which kept us busy ridding the room of them.

This hotel is in need of a makeover. It was very expensive and there were 2 different types of bugs in the bathroom. The towels were threadbare and some were stained. The mattress was broken down somewhat. The location is great, so I’m sure that’s how they get away with less than stellar accommodations and price gouging. I would rather drive to another town than stay there again. Cleanliness is not their strong suit.

Overall our stay was good! I would not hesitate to stay for a short stay again, but I would say the room smelled very musty and also the amount of noise I could hear from the outside made me think the window was open. Bed was comfortable.

The beds are super comfortable and I loved this place the most of anywhere I’ve stayed in Vermillion. The curtain on my window was difficult to move up and it was very windy, which caused something to constantly be knocking against the building near my window. Otherwise I loved my stay and I will definitely be booking again!

It was a very quick one night stay to see a college game. We had to wait until after 4:00 to check in because they were so low staffed. The front desk clerk was very nice. Breakfast had limited options.

Destiny, customer service/front desk employee, was terrible! She was rude and disrespectful! We will never stay at that hotel again! Also-the rooms were not ready well after the check in time and our toilet was disgusting! We were told: "it was payday yesterday, so a bunch of people didn't show up for work today!"

First time visiting can be tricky if misled by GPS taking you ton a lengthy 2 hour drive thru small towns and villages Maybe a more accurate map can be included on the Website showing an easier route from I-90 can improve the hassle. Very convenient to the DakotaDome. We were there for a football game and this location couldn’t be more perfect for that. I couldn’t give this a full 5 stars because the place has been kinda updated but some things could have been done a bit better. The king room they gave us was handicap which was fine. But the folding shower bench should have been replaced. It was old vinyl that was peeling and black mold was on and in it. Gross. Breakfast was good. Plenty to eat but the coffee creamers must have been outdated. They curdled in our coffee. I took it to the breakfast attendant and she said Oh. I don’t know much about coffee. 😳😂. Other than that. We had a good stay.

It was a very quick one night stay to see a college game. We had to wait until after 4:00 to check in because they were so low staffed. The front desk clerk was very nice. Breakfast had limited options.

Room was nice, friendly staff. Weird leak in bathroom sink when you are using it. Breakfast was cold/ dry. No yogurt.

At 4:50am the fire alarm went off and woke up the entire facility. It was not an actual emergency but sounded like the hotel accidentally set off the alarm and woke the entire facility. We had a long day traveling in and had a long day ahead and unfortunately I was not able to fall back asleep. The hotel staff did not acknowledge or apologize for the issue. The food quality at the free breakfast was not great like at other Holiday Inn properties.

Staff was amazing. Check in/out was a breeze. Breakfast was good. The room was fine...with the exception of everything covered in a layer of dust. The people who had stayed before us had scribbled in the dust of the chairs at the table and the coffee table had lines drawn in it.

Electric outlets not working had to change rooms. Then toilet didn’t flush no water. Hairdryer nor telephone worked. Could not change channels on tv. From the 4 nights we stayed only 1 time the beds were made. At evening nobody is ever at the desk. Breakfast items running low or not available. We stayed here last year and we had no trouble at all. Maybe they were understaffed and they were in a remodel.

My family members all had reservations at the Best Western, but I had always chosen the Holiday Inn. When I checked in, the staff member was not helpful, and she looked like she was wearing sweatpants and a sweater. When we got to the room, the AC was off, and when we attempted to turn it on, it kept tripping off. When she finally came down, she attempted it and nothing. I asked if they had any other rooms, and she said no and offered no sorry or other solutions. I was then left scrambling to find another room at 930 pm. All she said was that she texted her manager, and I was left to call Expedia the next morning for a refund, as I had not heard anything. I also heard another customer complain about the lack of breakfast, and the staff said she was the only one there for 12 hours, as if that were an excuse for poor service. From now on I will think twice.
