This motel was a pleasant surprise. We stayed here 1 night during a visit to Cooperstown which was about a 30 min drive (hotel prices are extremely inflated there). The checkin and checkout process was easy and the owner and his wife were very pleasant. The exterior is dated but clean. Yes, it’s your typical motel layout but the room was very clean and the bathrooms were newly renovated. Bed was comfortable. We could tell that the owners took pride in their establishment. The property was very quiet and felt safe. The owner provided good communication and was quick to answer our questions. We appreciated the complimentary bottled waters in the room. The room was appointed with a (very clean) small coffee maker, coffee grounds, and paper cups. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if we are ever in this area again.

The owners were very friendly and do all the work of the motel themselves. The motel has the charm of an old upstate NY motel. Very clean, new fixtures in the bathroom, comfortable beds, and convenient appliances such as a useable fridge with freezer that is big enough to put blue ices, microwave. Pretty pots of zinnias outside the rooms and a place to sit. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay and would come again.

This is what a basic motel should be. Clean, comfortable with reasonable furnishing and equipment. Location is very close to the village, with a bar, diner, Chinese and two pizza places. Grounds are nicely kept and it’s back from the road, so sitting on the porch is pleasant. Appreciated the free bottles of water and the USB power points. A/C is noisy but powerful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Village Motel. Easy check in, safe & quiet area and the room was super clean. The grounds look very nice and you can tell the owners take pride in their property. We will definitely return in the future. Do not hesitate to book a room at the Village Motel.

Beds are comfortable. Staff is friendly. Location is good for where we needed to be. We’ve stayed here twice now. They put the strongest “air fresheners” in the rooms. Both times we’ve had to put it on the outside of the window and shut it out so we can’t smell it. The smell makes me feel sick. The 2nd time we stayed I also noticed the smell of whatever detergent/soap they use all over the blankets and pillows. It’s so strong that I almost had to sleep in the car. For all the hotels with unbelievably uncomfortable beds, these are definitely better than most. But the smells are so overpowering that I don’t think we’ll ever stay here again.

Small motel which served the purpose for a one night stay. Room was clean and quiet overall. The A/C was loud when it ran and came on and off a lot. Room also not real dark to to outside lighting. Convenient diner located just down the street for bfast.

Looks can be deceiving but we were very satisfied with our stay here. Even though there was a bit of a mixup at checking in (not on them), check in overall was quick. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom and shower was clean and looked like it was recently remodeled as well. Considering this motel was on the main road in town and we had the room closest to the road, we were worried there would be a lot of noise from traffic. Even with the windows open, no noise at all. Would stay here again!

Is not a fancy place, but the rooms are super clean. The person running the front desk stayed to check us in when I called late on a Sunday evening so we would be able to have a room. That meant a whole lot after spending 12 hours on a motorcycle. Thanks so much!

Had a great stay at The Village Motel. Owners were very friendly ,had a problem with the smoke detector in our room and they were very quick in solving the issue. Would definitely stay there again. Conveniently located close to local amenities and Cooperstown Baseball Hall of Fame.

This motel was a pleasant surprise. We stayed here 1 night during a visit to Cooperstown which was about a 30 min drive (hotel prices are extremely inflated there). The checkin and checkout process was easy and the owner and his wife were very pleasant. The exterior is dated but clean. Yes, it’s your typical motel layout but the room was very clean and the bathrooms were newly renovated. Bed was comfortable. We could tell that the owners took pride in their establishment. The property was very quiet and felt safe. The owner provided good communication and was quick to answer our questions. We appreciated the complimentary bottled waters in the room. The room was appointed with a (very clean) small coffee maker, coffee grounds, and paper cups. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if we are ever in this area again.

Our experience there was awesome. It was nice and quiet. Close by to food, gas, and groceries. The drive to Cooperstown is scenic and not to far. Clean and friendly service. The water is hot and stays hot, so very relaxing after a day at the ballfield.

Very convenient to Glimmerglass and Cooperstown. Very clean and well-kept. On the Main Street, but quiet. A little more expensive than I would have liked, but it is the peak season (July). We would definitely stay here again.

Owner/manager was very helpful and room was clean. Facility is dated, but bathroom was updated and AC worked great. Beds a bit on the soft side but comfortable. We thought it a good value for a small town location. It's about 15 minutes by car from Cooperstown.

Had a great stay at The Village Motel. Owners were very friendly ,had a problem with the smoke detector in our room and they were very quick in solving the issue. Would definitely stay there again. Conveniently located close to local amenities and Cooperstown Baseball Hall of Fame.

This is what a basic motel should be. Clean, comfortable with reasonable furnishing and equipment. Location is very close to the village, with a bar, diner, Chinese and two pizza places. Grounds are nicely kept and it’s back from the road, so sitting on the porch is pleasant. Appreciated the free bottles of water and the USB power points. A/C is noisy but powerful.

Freezer part of the refrigerator was not working so I could not freeze my ice packs that I use to keep my drinks cold traveling by motorcycle. Other than that, place is clean, quiet. Basic room and very well lit parking area.

Perfectly clean room, excellent room rate, easy check-in experience, new fixtures in the bathroom, and a larger than usual mini-fridge. We would certainly stay here again! The manager allowed us to check-in a few hours early to freshen-up before attending a funeral, and then she waived the early check-in fee - CLASSY LADY!!
