I booked ahead online for 2 queen beds, but when I arrived they only had 1 king available. What is the point of booking ahead if you are just going to give away the room I reserved? Also the room was stuffy, running the AC did not help much.

The hotel canceled my reservation as they overbooked, with a plain and tardy sorry they told me they have booked another hotel which was 45 minutes away from this hotel. Not going in this hotel again

Overall, this was a good hotel. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was good. However, we had a bad experience with the service. One of the staff at the front desk, Jeremy, told us that we had to pay an "early" check out fee of $30 on the day we left. We have never heard this before at other hotels, and when we questioned him further, he said that the early check out fee was until noon, even though check out is at noon, which would mean the fee would apply to all check outs (not just early). Additionally, when we asked him questions, he was very rude to us. He ended up dropping the fee but only because "he didn't want to deal with us anymore" after we threatened to bring it up to his manager. I have not had experiences like this at other hotels, including other Fairfields we have stayed at, and so I am very disappointed by the front desk staff here. If this happens any further, we will not be staying at Fairfields in the future.
