This was a disappointing stay. We were in town for a family funeral and had planned to stay both Friday and Saturday nights so we would have a place to gather after the funeral on Saturday. Unfortunately, due to the issues at the hotel, we ended up traveling home Saturday after the funeral and did not stay the second night we had reserved. The issues were: 1. Active, live roaches in both of our rooms. 2. A/C was out in the lobby/breakfast area. 3. Breakfast was stated to begin at 7:00, but the room was dark and empty when we got there, except for 4 other families waiting for breakfast. Eventually, a kitchen staff member came out and said it would open at 7:30, offering no explanation. There was no juice because she couldn't get the machine to work, there was no hot water for tea, there was not batter in the waffle station, and there was no ice for drinks. 4. The pool is in very bad condition. The water is cloudy, and you cannot see more than 6 inches from the surface. The surrounding area is unkept, with trash and other debris littered in the space. We booked this hotel specifically with the pool in mind, but we were unable to use this amenity due to its condition. Hotels.com was able to negotiate a partial refund for our trip, and I would not recommend a stay at this hotel unless major improvements are made.

Not worth the cost. The AC in the lobby and breakfast area was not working properly. We had to switch one room as there were cockroaches. The OJ machine didn't work and the soda ice machine was out of ice.

We booked here because the good reviews and the picture of the pool area. It’s summertime there should be no reason all the shrubbery around the property is overgrown and the pool is disgustingly dirty. The seating are looked unkept as well. The room was clean, but there were roaches in the kitchen and bathroom, the hall ways and rooms have a horrible smell, the bed had a HUGE dent In the middle. The breakfast had potential but was not fresh and starts at 730am NEVER seen that time at a hotel, we had to leave early one day so we didn’t even get to utilize it. Just not what we expected, someone needs to put some elbow grease, time and attention to this properly.

The hotel is very run down. When we got to our room the kitchen towels had food on them, the shower was peeling and dirt in the corners. The pool was out of service and the emergency exit door was open and did not close. They also have a large population of birds living in the trees that you can hear inside and bird poo covering everything outside. Will not be staying here again.

The hotel itself is okay. Ice machines and juice machines were broken. Our room was not fully stocked. Hotel has an odor in the hallways. The toilet wouldn’t fill after flushes. Shower drains slow. A friend staying there as well was given a room that had dirty sheets still on and leaky windows in the rain.

1st impressions are everything and the grass or should I say weeds around the property looked as if they hadn’t been touched in over a month. The next thing that caught my attention was the “POOL CLOSED” sign. I told lady behind counter if I would have known the pool was closed I wouldn’t have booked. Room was spacious, TV’s a little small for our viewing pleasure. AC worked great. There were exposed electrical wires in our closet for a pre-existing light bulb. The pull out sofa which my 12 year old sleep on was the size of a miniature blow up mattress with approx 3” of bed mattress. Won’t stay here again. Let me make this very clear. I lay all of this upon Management and owners. You guys (cross gender for you some folks) can do a lot better. Chad from East Texas

The halls smelled bad, the key fobs didn’t work for all exterior doors, the bathroom door stuck on the floor halfway through opening, the AC unit made loud noises, the shower head leaked, there were roaches in our room, there were never drinks at the free breakfast

First assigned room had not been cleaned. Second room assigned was not totally cleaned (trash under kitchen sink, dirty dishes in sink, and main TV did not work). Upon checkout, the clerk took out name so that the manager could call us. The manager did contact us about one hour later and thanked us for letting him know the issues. He was going to take of the room fee for the issues we had.

The property was very outdated. my room the couch was stained and faded. tub was rusted. bed was very comfortable. WORST PART WAS WOKE UP TO BUGS IN KITCHEN AND BATHROOM. so next night had to sleep with all lights on, so they would not come out

We were hopeful our stay would be a clean one due to the reviews and pictures online, however that was not the case. Our family was in town for a softball tournament so we really just needed clean beds and hot showers at the end of each day. The pull out couch bed that had a giant yellow stain on the mattress. Our pillow cases had questionable hairs and fresh stains (not washed) on them. There was a dead critter hanging out of the light fixture in the kitchen. Mosquitos everywhere which probably was due to the broken windows that allowed a decent amount of rain into our room. It was not the best experience, but that being said, the staff was incredibly kind and friendly. Very helpful when we asked for fresh bedding and the breakfast was decent enough. Hope they get this addressed becaused this was a place with potential. (*Tried adding photos of yellow stain and critter but it won't let me unfortunately)

Old and borderline nasty. We went into the first room and after I killed 6 roaches running around I went back the the front desk and asked for another room. Good news was the second room I only had to kill one roach! Floors are old and filthy showers not caulked and moldy. Had to put a sheet on the couch due to it probably being 30 years old so u can imagine the smell and look. Over all the edges and corners were filthy and had many dead roaches. Will never stay there again. Only good thing was the breakfast was good but I don’t want to see the kitchen!

Several kids or teens stayed in the room next door during our stay. They began chatting loudly around midnight, and due to the poor soundproofing of the walls, we could clearly hear the shouting and laughing. After enduring the noise for about half an hour, we called the front desk. A few minutes later, a woman briefly spoke in the hallway for a few seconds. While the noise subsided momentarily, it quickly returned to its previous volume. It was apparent that no adults were accompanying the children in the room, which was quite shocking to us. After another hour of restless half-sleep, we were completely awakened by the shouting and laughing again. At that point, we had no choice but to call the front desk a second time. We are unsure how long it took for the noise to completely stop, but by morning, we felt utterly exhausted. We spoke with the front desk and were assured that the manager would contact us. We also learned that other guests around our room experienced identical issues during their stays. However, as of this writing, we have not received any communication from anyone at the property.

Very convenient to the MSU campus. Beds were very comfortable. Shower pressure was excellent. Loved the 2 big windows. Plenty of room for 3 adults. Great kitchenette with a full size refrigerator. Will stay here in the future.

1st: the fridge had leftover food from previous guest. It's not just a little amount either: it is some pizza in a box, some breadsticks, apple sauce and a bowl of old noodles. I would have expected this to have been cleaned out before our stay. 2nd: The room we purchased said it "sleeps four". It has a suite with a "King" size bed in a separate room, and an area with sofa bed. But the problem is that the pull out sofa is not the typical size closer to a "full" (that would sleep two) as I have seen in many hotels before. Rather, it folds out to a "twin" that would typically sleep one. The sofa has a chaise lounge but it is not enough for a typical adult to lay flat on. I asked if there is another room with the same setup (King Suite with Sleeper Sofa that sleeps four) with a separate room but with the normal sofa bed but they said they do not have it. 3rd: There are two TV's: one in the room with the King bed, and the other one with the weird sofa bed. The one in the room is an LG would not allow to go directly onto the channel list but would have to scroll up and down to the actual channel. Also, its remote says it has Netflix and Amazon but the buttons don't do anything. Looking around the menu and settings do not show it is a Smart TV at all. The other TV is an Insignia one and we first tried scrolling on it only allowed four channels. I asked about this and maintenance came. they said for that TV, I can't scroll to look for channels but instead pressed in.

There was no juice, fountain machine didn't work, hardly any fruit, cutlery and napkin dispenser were not kept full at breakfast. It was an older motel but not as well kept as most staybridge suites we have stayed at. I'm sure the clerk at desk when we checked in was new but took 15 minutes or more to check in and room was booked online

I like the way our room with the kitchenette was set up. It was clean and comfortable. Well I didn't like was the fact that I asked for towels and they told me they were short-staffed and they didn't have any. So for a 2-day stay after we threw our towels on the ground and used them we had no towels but past that the place was pretty good

Staff was exceptionally nice and helpful; however didn’t present a professional look as all wore street or athletic clothes. Some areas were cluttered and not clean. Rooms were clean, very comfortable and roomy.

Comfortable room with many conveniences. The kitchenette was most welcome. Only negative I can think of is the bed was way soft and had a dip in the middle. Location is convenient to downtown. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Location was central. The people over us stomped all night and there was screaming in the hall in the middle of the night. The hotel had a strange smell to it. The front desk people were very friendly and helpful.

Eh. Not impressed and wouldn’t stay again, especially for the price. The whole place felt dirty, literally started cleaning our own room upon arrival. Didn’t feel comfortable letting my toddlers use the bath tub as it felt unsanitary. Beds were comfy, kitchen in the rooms were nice. The whole place is very old and dated, rooms are smelly, couch was gross we didn’t want to sit on it, all dusty and stained. Room didn’t match the photos online that I booked, only stayed the one glad and it wasn’t more. Definitely overpriced for what you get. Breakfast was easily 2/10 stars. This was a disappointing stay. We were in town for a family funeral and had planned to stay both Friday and Saturday nights so we would have a place to gather after the funeral on Saturday. Unfortunately, due to the issues at the hotel, we ended up traveling home Saturday after the funeral and did not stay the second night we had reserved. The issues were: 1. Active, live roaches in both of our rooms. 2. A/C was out in the lobby/breakfast area. 3. Breakfast was stated to begin at 7:00, but the room was dark and empty when we got there, except for 4 other families waiting for breakfast. Eventually, a kitchen staff member came out and said it would open at 7:30, offering no explanation. There was no juice because she couldn't get the machine to work, there was no hot water for tea, there was not batter in the waffle station, and there was no ice for drinks. 4. The pool is in very bad condition. The water is cloudy, and you cannot see more than 6 inches from the surface. The surrounding area is unkept, with trash and other debris littered in the space. We booked this hotel specifically with the pool in mind, but we were unable to use this amenity due to its condition. Hotels.com was able to negotiate a partial refund for our trip, and I would not recommend a stay at this hotel unless major improvements are made.

Front desk was nice however the room in the picture I booked was unavailable so that wasn’t great. The only ice machine was broken however he did go to the kitchen and give us some so that was nice of him. Went to breakfast at 7 and there was little ready so didn’t get to eat much.

Trashcan outside the front door was constantly overflowing and you couldn’t throw one thing in it. Trash sat out around the bin. We went to breakfast at 8:20am on a Saturday. Nothing was left except waffles, sausage links that were almost white, and some omelettes-but full of peppers, chile. No milk for cereal except chocolate. Regular brewed coffee was out. They had decaf. Only 2 of our 5 person party went down. We ate some yogurt and had a muffin. Disappointing considering I was charged an extra $10 for the 5th person in our room-which I was guessing was for the breakfast. We didn’t even eat $5 worth of food. We have stayed here multiple times on our trips to WF. This time may be our last. I was very disappointed in what we got for the $$$.

The price for a suite was great, however the room smelled very musty to the point we had to go buy air freshener. The shower had rust around the faucet and at the bottom of the tub. The hot breakfast options were awful, fake bacon, eggs were dry and gross, sausage was hard. The beds were super comfortable and pillows too, staff was very friendly.

This is why people are paying a premium to stay in a hotel in Wichita Falls, during the cycling event. It’s like if hotels in New Orleans were not ready for Mardi Gras. And yet you were not ready. You don’t have enough staff to do basic house cleaning. I had a refrigerator full of food left by the previous guests. I had to intervene and get the front desk staff to check in people standing in a long line and not being helped. These are just basic things that you have to know how to do when you’re operating a hotel. You have to treat people like people. You have to not waste their time. You you have to have a clean well-maintained facility. These are not superlatives or bonuses. They are basics.
