The Alpamare waterpark is just a few minutes' walk away, as is Peasholm Park, where you can enjoy the lakes and gardens, or have a go on the pedalos or rowing boats. You can even watch the brass bands that play throughout the summer. Once a week in the summer, there is a re-enactment of a warship battle using model boats on the lake which has been enjoyed by many children and adults alike, over the years.
