To the south you will find Builth Wells, home of the Royal Welsh Showground with its series of hugely popular annual events. A twenty mile drive will take you through the bustling market town of Rhayader and onto the truly stunning Elan Valley, steeped in industrial history with its imposing Victorian dams and series of wildlife rich lakes.
