Miami River Inn by Renzzi

Excellent staff and customer service, a great location, and a very welcoming atmosphere. The room was spacious and comfortable overall. One important comment, however: it should be standard practice to clearly indicate “shared bathroom” in the room title or prominently within the main amenities section. This information was quite hidden in the fine print, and even the confirmation email I received from Hotels.com did not clearly mention that the bathroom was shared. I actually had to call customer service to confirm it. This detail should definitely be made much clearer, as I likely would not have booked the room had I known in advance. That said, the shared bathroom situation was manageable since it was only shared with three other rooms in the hallway, and it was kept clean throughout my stay.

The issue is the music from the bar there were people wandering around the property that didn't stay there. Coming into the building where my room was made me feel unsafe

This was a very charming inn. You’re within the little river community. Parking is a perk and it’s for hotel guests, so patrons going to the bar have to find parking outside. Staff is nice. 20-30 minute walk to Brickell, but you can take a trolley. Uber was $7 each way. Perfect location. We felt safe inside the blue house. If you go to sleep early or are a light sleeper I recommend bringing a sound machine. We were next to the drawbridge and can hear the chime when it was going up, this did not bother me. The bar is also open until about 11, not sure but the noise from the bar was definitely reduced after 11pm.

It was a horrible experience from the time when we pulled up. The beds had all sorts of bugs over them. There was no towels and the couple of them that were there were ripped and shredded. We were both very tempted to go somewhere else, but we’re tired from traveling for 15 hours that day. The rooms were paper thin and you could hear everything going on in every other room. The tub had nomad in it and was very slippery. We had to use wash cloths on the floor of the tub to keep from slipping. The fan did not work and when I asked about getting somebody over there, they told me I would have to wait until in the morning and still even then nobody showed up.
