Clean, spacious room. Excellent breakfast. Very friendly check in. Lovely lobby with Koi pond with turtles. Free coffee. Nice gift shop in lobby.

The pool could use a new liner, paint was peeling and floating around in the pool. Hot tub water was discolored and also in need of a new lining. Nice lobby area and restaurant. Employees were nice and accommodating.

Excellent large clean and quiet room Yes, it had a gas fireplace which we did use. Beautiful indoor pool area and large dining and breakfast area.

Picked this hotel mostly because of the pool and hot tub. The pictures online look much different than in person. They had a sign up that asked guests to excuse the appearance of their pool deck as they work on solutions (peeling paint and poorly maintained) and that they did not want to close the pool/hot tub in the mean time as it was an attraction for guests. Pictured below is one example of the paint chips and dirt that filled the hot tub. The foam in the water was an off brown color. The hot tub is a health and safety concern. We didn’t even attempt the pool. The whole hotel is incredibly tired and poorly maintained. The room was dark and musty, no major updates since the early 90’s. Our room smelled so strong of cleaning products that it wasn’t tolerable. Also pictured below was the trash on the floor of the room when we first checked in. This is after it took us more than 20 minutes to check in as the front desk staff seemed inadequately trained on the room software. After 30 minutes we checked out to head for hotel that would actually be comfortable to sleep in for a night. We booked through Expedia who said that Fireside refused to provide a refund. Despite their facilities being terribly maintained, their hot tub isn’t safe or usable which means their amenities were not as advertised. I will continue to attempt to reach the property and update with changes. This hotel is a terrible deal for the money.

We didn’t care for this hotel. The pool did not seem clean, the hot tub wasn’t working, the hallways smelled like pot! Breakfast was okay. Pretty picked over by the time we came down. Only one person working the entire dining area.

Hot tub was closed…would have been nice to know prior to booking.

Rooms were clean. Buffet breakfast included. Pool and hot tub were nice in a huge covered area. Convenvient location. Would stay again.

It was a great stay, clean but the whole reason why we stayed was for the hot tub. As it turned out the hot tub wasn’t working.

Pool is big and they have a hot tub open till 10 pm definitely a plus

Liked the view from the parking lot. The inside of the hotel had a distict unpleasant musky smell, the catpets insude the rooms are dirty, the recliner in the room is dirty/stained, no air fan in the bathroom and worst of all the beds were not that comfortable.

We have stayed here three times. The second was approximately 14 months ago. Over this time the property has become dirty and neglected. Our room was: noisy, hear other rooms showers etc, upon arrival there was tp in the toilet, hair on the nightstands, gritty substance on the floor. The dining room floor had old food stuc, and breakfast was hard and dried out with service we had to go looking for. When we checked out no one asked how it was… so here we are with our review. We expected what we had before for the price.

Room wasn’t very clean.

Great location and amenities, unfortunately the room was very dirty and gross. The shower was too dirty to use and there were stains all over the pillows. Walls are also thin which is not really something that they can control but was still annoying. Great lobby area though, breakfast was included and there is a nice pool.

Room was obviously one they used for dog owners. The second we walked in the door the smell of dog poop/urine hit us. I gagged. It was carpeted. We were out in the back building and not adequate parking so we had to walk across their lawn which was muddy, no sidewalks to get to the back building. Fortunately I had house shoes with me so I didn’t have to walk barefooted across the carpet. Breakfast was bountiful but lukewarm and not fresh. We asked to speak to the manager when we checked out but he wasn’t available.

Went on an overnight trip with my wife. Bathroom was dirty with pubic hair throughout the toilet with mold. Pool was very cloudy and hot tub was cold. When attempting to go for breakfast I was told by a staff member that I needed breakfast tickets which we were never given at check-in and given a hard time. Ok stay but we won’t be back.

The decor of the hotel was decorated nicely for the holidays but the rooms are very old and dirty. The beds were fine but the bathroom was old and dingy! The hair dryer had old makeup all over it, the shower curtain was old and ripped! We were hardly there so I didn’t make a big deal out of it and the kids didn’t care! The staff were very nice and the pool area was nice for the kids but I would never stay there again.

Checking in seemed to be bothersome for the woman who was working the desk. She asked for my ID and credit card in a way that made me feel inferior. She warmed up slightly as our interaction was ending. The room key wouldn't not work so I had to go back to the desk and luckily, the other woman helped me. She was very accomodating. She walked down to the room and opened the door for me. The room was next to the laundry facility on one side and the swimming pool on the other. It was very noisy from both. The bathroom was surface clean but the aging hotel has years of accumulated dirt in cracks. It was creepy. The room was dark and depressing. The curtains to block out the pool view were too long so any air from the heat/ ac unit blew into the curtains and not the room. Breakfast was decent but the fruit was gone by the time we arrived at 8:15. The juices had run out too. Juices were replenished but not the fruit. The scrambled eggs were good and even warm! The coffee was good. This hotel was worth aboit $150/ night. Unfortunately, I had to pay $335 for one night. It was definitely not worth that much.

I had a place to stay. Can't say I slept well, I could hear everything even over the air system--doors closing, the alarm for the person in the next room, conversations in the yard space outside. The bed was extremely hard. The premium room only offers the ambiance of an electric fireplace and a massage chair. Everything was old--the decor (a blast of the late 80s/early 90s) and filled with synthetic plants (the #1 offender of plastic in the environment), the sheets (pilly, rather than crisp and smooth), the furniture (chipped and some elements falling off). I appreciate the staff here. They were helpful and prompt. I will return to the Quality Inn which is less expensive and more comfortable.

Beautiful interior decor, rooms were more basic. Felt the bathrooms could use an upgrade, but great overall for sleeping overnight before leaving town

The hotel is lovely. The staff is great. The amenities are fine. Two big issues prevent me from treating higher. 1) The fit and finish is showing some age (e.g., the countertop in the bathroom was full of damaged spots) and 2) the sound proofing is terrible. The dorm refrigerator had to be unplugged since it was very loud and not just a constant drone but changed sounds throughout the night making it difficult to ignore. One neighbor watched a basketball game until late and I could make out every detail from the commentary. The other neighbor was either working out, was very sick, or was doing something x-rated for hours - moaning, groaning, swearing, grunting etc. That same neighbor's alarm went off at 4:15 AM with music ("Sometimes when we touch") playing until I physically beat on the wall to get him to shut it off. Then the gutteral sounds began again! Without better sound damping (it better luck), it is hard to recommend.

If you're looking for a lot of charm and comfort this is the place to go. Our room had a small fireplace and a massage chair. The hallways a lobby have couches game, and fireplaces. There is also a nice pool and hot tub area. The free breakfast was excellent.

Property is outdated; but that might be something others like about it. Front desk staff was not friendly, very dry and short. Housekeeping ladies were great and friendly! Room was okay, the shower knob was really hard to open for the water to come out and the water would not go down the drain easily. Carpet in the room felt gross and like it needs a really deep cleaning. Beds were okay.

Room was clean and quiet. Air conditioning was a bit loud. Free breakfast was fast and convenient.

This is a nice place, just very dated. 40 years ago, it must've been a crown jewel. The staff is great, both at check-in and throughout the stay. The rooms are adequate and nice. Several 1st-world issues - paper-thin walls, light under the door, noise from the hall, toilet-roll holder falls off. The location is good. The room was clean. We didn't stay long enough to take advantage of the amenities. The breakfast was nice (not quite up to the volume. e.g. ran out of some of the food).

Great, old fashioned hotel with a family feel. However, the walls are so thin...I woke up at 1 a.m. to a noisy group arriving and they kept me up for 2 hours as they stomped around above me in their room. If you go, bring earplugs and a noise machine!

Staff went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. In particular, employees working the breakfast area made sure to emphasize the accessible ramps for wheelchairs and were speedy and safe with pouring coffee and clearing tables of used plates and cutlery

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent stay at this hotel was incredibly frustrating and disappointing from start to finish. The front desk staff set the tone right away — they were unwelcoming, unprofessional, and frankly, rude. I asked a simple question about my reservation and was met with attitude instead of assistance. It felt like I was bothering them just by checking in. The room itself was far from clean. The shower was especially disgusting — there was visible grime in the corners, soap scum on the walls, and it clearly had not been thoroughly cleaned before my arrival. For the price I paid, I expected at least basic cleanliness, and this was unacceptable. When I asked for a late checkout (just 30 extra minutes!), I was immediately denied with no explanation. Most hotels I’ve stayed in are flexible and accommodating when it comes to small requests like this, but again, the staff seemed more interested in being difficult than helpful. Accessing the pool was another headache. The signage was unclear, the hours weren’t posted anywhere obvious, and when I finally got in, it was overcrowded and not well maintained. I wouldn’t have felt comfortable swimming even if everything else had gone well. And the breakfast? Absolutely terrible. The food was cold, the eggs were rubbery, the coffee was bitter, and most of the items looked like they’d been sitting out for hours. I ended up skipping it altogether and going elsewhere to eat. I will not be returning!!

Excellent service - pleasant and accommodating. I have limited mobility and our room was near the entrance allowing great ease of access. A lovely well kept hotel. Will return in future.

While the property previously has been good, this time the experience was not. We asked multiple times to have our room cleaned only to have that not happen. Upon asking the cleaning lady to clean our room, she instructed us to bag all of our trash and dirty towels and bring them to her. The rooms on the second floor do not have carpet and the floor felt very sticky and nasty. The hotel was very noisy with kids running up and down the hall and knocking on doors for fun.

My first and last time staying here. I was turned away twice before being allowed to check in and almost a third time before I said I would literally take any room at that point. Who still has check-in at 4 pm? The front desk was cold and looked unhappy to be there. They were super behind in cleaning, and no communication between the cleaning team and the front desk. Our room was gross and the only window was facing the indoor pool... the second round of blinds were missing so I literally had to use my own stuff to block out the view. Arrived back to my room well after midnight and had to ask them to turn the music off in the pool area, which we could hear.

Target and Walmart are very close to the property along with restaurants, so it was easy to find shopping. I wasn't aware that the location did not provide daily maid service. After I found out I requested it two times. I confirmed with the front desk twice and no one came to clean my room two days in a row. I also requested towels downstairs and waited a significant time before they were delivered. I did enjoy the daily breakfast options.

The bar tender closed 5-10 minutes early. Wouldn’t take cash because he had already cashed out the register. Just wanted a cocktail after a long drive. Seemed odd.

When we checked in the clerk was on a FaceTime call and seemed rather annoyed that we were bothering her. She continued the call even while checking us in. Then made no effort whatsoever to even tell us where our room was. The dining available was a very nice setting but had very little food options. We read online that they had an absolutely terrible reputation in the community. That night no one came in to dining except two people that went to the bar. Never saw any other staff than the front desk clerk. This place is extremely poorly managed. Beds were like sleeping on a trampoline. This place needs a major Improvement program.

This is a charming hotel with reasonable rates and easy access to both RTES 89 and 91. Remarkably, we did not hear any traffic noise!

Close to hospital. We had appointments and do not live in the area. Nice place to stay.

Older hotel tucked in behind a hardware store. Entrance is easy to miss if unfamiliar but a nice place. Lobby is really nice with large fireplace and coy fish pond and a large open restaurant style breakfast area.

The staff was helpful and friendly. The room was clean.The lobby with fireplace and the dinning atrium was very nice. The hotel is a little hard to find because it is behind a lumber yard and the arrow pointing you toward the inn should be closer to the main road not halfway down the driveway of the entrance. The room although clean needs to be updated and the AC did not work.

Lobby and entrance to hotel is very nice, koy pond is a touch. Odd location behind a commercial plaza, but very nice if you like to just get off highway and want to jump back on. Rooms were nice, bathroom little outdated. Area is also good if you want to walk to restaurants or need any amenities. Price was steep for area but peak foliage time I’m guessing was cause of this. Overall, nice stay for the evening.

Easy on snd off interstate

Hotel staff is amazing. The rate I received included breakfast, which was plentiful, good and filling. The room was good however there was a stain on one of the bedcovers, and not all the USB ports were working and the clock was not plugged in. But the room was fine and the amenities were great. Its location is fantastic for the Lebanon, Hanover and White River Junction. Easy on and off 89 and 91.

Great cozy New England property. Was greeted by a nice fireplace with cozy couches. Loved the indoor dining and mini bar for evening but I feel that could be a little nicer. The food was ok. We were so tired that it was convenient and worked. So much to do in this area. It’s a great location. Perfect distance between lake sunapee and Woodstock area.

The location is great for our one day visit to Dartmouth. The small pool inside surely will make young kids happy. There are food/gas/Target nearly. The price is very competitive comparing to other options I have.

did not like looking at back side of strip mall/building materials supplier😖. Very unfortunate that a developer had no consideration for existing neighbors.

There was an array of breakfast items to choose from each morning. They had the best breakfast and the most choices of any hotel I had ever stayed in. The lobby was beautiful with a lovely fireplace. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking was convenient with plenty of parking spaces. This is a hotel I would choose for a visit again. We were very pleased with our stay.

Website says full access restaurant but it’s closed Sunday/Monday and don’t mention that since we were there on a Monday had to go out for dinner. Also a lot of dust in the room and cobwebs.

The hotel is wonderful! Beds are comfortable, water pressure and temp in the shower is SO good! And the continental breakfast is very good - plus the dining area is relaxing and enjoyable. Would HIGHLY recommend you checking this place out!

The only issue we had during our one stay was breakfast, food choices were great but lots of there were also many items that were not back filled, no juice was refilled at station, some of the pastries were empty, low on almost all items and had to go up several times to get items when it became available, no water was available, this made it difficult for my child to have anything to drink since juice was empty and no water. We came down for breakfast at 9:30am, it was busy with ppl but the whole time we were there the juice never got refilled even after we asked for some.

Breakfast buffet was inedible.

The atmosphere was beautiful and the pool was very nice. My granddaughter loved the fish and the turtles in the indoor pond. The free massage chair was wonderful after driving several hours. The free breakfast had a large variety, but the hash and sausage needed some flavor. Overall, a great place to stay!

It was clean, well run, and had very friendly, professional staff members. The hot breakfast in the morning was delicious with different options available every day. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel. It was conveniently located to sightseeing in either Vermont or New Hampshire.
