I booked this property for the sole purpose of snow sports in Hakuba. However, I feel this property is not designed and build for winter season. To access the rooms from the main building (lobby, restaurants etc), one has to walk through an unheated walkway, expose to the cold and wind. Imagine doing this at -6 degrees temperature. The snow equipment storage is an after-thought. It is a container situated outside on the driveway. It is not a dry room and to access the snow equipment, one has to be expose to the elements again. (this time, there are no shelters to protect the guest).

Fantastic property, quaint feeling, great amenities. The room is a bit dated and pillows and bed is rock solid hard. But the hotel has many other qualities that make up. The view of the natural surroundings is amazing. The Onsen private and non private was great. Staff tried really hard to make the best stay possible. Was nice to have a tea lounge to sit in daily, unlimited natural water and apple juice and some hot wine. They have a light snack canteen, that free until 8pm, at this point what’s the need for a convenience store everything is at your fingertips here. I had a great stay and can’t wait to come back again.

My partner and I were absolutely blown away when we arrived at this property in the middle of a snow season. I can’t even describe it beauty. Everything was conveniently, with a light lunch/dinner provided at no charge. It was so nice to come home from a day at the slopes and eat amazing warm food! They also provide afternoon tea with wine, where you can overlook a gorgeous view. Complimentary private onsens was another highlight. The rooms were spacious, very clean and had heated floors. Transport to town and ski resorts was so easy, as was hitting ski gear. We will definitely be back!

Clean rooms, friendly staff and overall amazing property! The amenities were wonderful! There are both private and shared onsens you can take advantage of, complimentary happy hour drinks and snacks, massage chairs, and a complimentary shuttle that you can reserve spots on to take you through the town and slopes!

Very Nice resort with 3 (different) private Onsen hotspring baths and 1 public. Breakfast and dinner were all ok, the rooms are spacious, but too few closets. There was a lounge with free drinks, coffee, tea and snacks and an entertainment room with darts and pool table. The resort was first class. We loved the Onsen which they had both private and public. They had no restrictions on Tattoos. The breakfast was great and we saved a lot of money on dinners since they had free wine, soups, miso, udon, etc every afternoon.

This property was beautiful and very clean. Staff are super friendly and accomodating. It is a bit out the way from main areas of Hakuba. However, the hotel does have a shuttle bus, only on a limited schedule though.

施設は全体的に綺麗でした。 軽食等が無料で食べることもできましたが、冷やしトマトやキュウリを食べていた私の前の塩を何も言わずにもって行ってしまいました。 また、その従業員の方はその場で片付けていた未使用のお椀を床に落としましたが、そのまま元の場所に戻していました。最後に全てのお椀を洗ってまた提供するならいいですが、目の前で見せられると、他もそうなんではないかなと思ってしまいました。

Really loved the incredibly welcoming and hospitable staff at the hotel who went out of their way to make us feel at home and make the stay as enjoyable as possible. Although the rooms are basic, the rest of the hotel has every modern comfort. The big downside is the location - the hotel is miles from the town so you're reliant upon taxis ($40 each way to dinner) and infrequent shuttle buses to the snow fields and town. This really made it very limiting so we mostly dined at the hotel restaurant as it was much easier than trying to wait for infrequent scheduled shuttles. The French fixed menu was excellent every time - with impeccable service. However, surprisingly both the service and quality of the Western a-la-carte menu (at the same restaurant) was much much lower and quite disappointing. Overall I enjoyed the hotel but would likely pick another next time simply due to the inconvenience of the location. If the frequency of the shuttle buses were doubled, that might encourage me to return. Either way, I'd like to pass on my sincere thanks to the staff for being so friendly and making the stay very enjoyable.

The property is very expensive for the area. The service was lovely except for the last day when we needed to leave the hotel and get to the bus station to leave Hakuba. The front desk staff was unable to find a taxi to pick us up and the hotel shuttle could not be sent to the bus station for an 8 am instead of 9 am run. We were not able to make the departure bus that we hoped to get on. We eventually took the hotel's shuttle van 30 minutes after our hoped for departure and caught a bus out of town and Aside from the lack of transportation coordination and the fact that the hotel charged me an additional $500 at checkout for my kids lodging and food (which I thought I had paid through the high Expedia price of $1,600 for 2 nights) there was much that was good about the hotel. We loved our beautiful dinners and breakfast buffets, the room was spacious and comfortable, the complimentary wine at happy hour in the lounge was lovely. But in the end, the very high price per night for the 4 of us paired with the stress on our departure day (which we began talking with the hotel staff about the afternoon prior) made for a less than perfect experience.

ご近所ひとり旅で伺いました。 エントランスに入った際にカナディアンログの懐かしい香りがしました。 お部屋は古いながらも趣がありゆったり過ごせました。 温泉も貸切、古民家の湯ともにとても癒されました。 さまざまな軽食のサービスも楽しかったです。 スタッフの皆さまが笑顔で親切でした。素敵なお庭の手入れをされているスタッフさんは職人気質を感じました。夕食も味も量も自分の好みで、ベテランの男性のスタッフの方の説明もわかりやすく思いやりを感じました。 次回は白馬飯店にも伺いたいです。 ありがとうございました。

Very Nice resort with 3 (different) private Onsen hotspring baths and 1 public. Breakfast and dinner were all ok, the rooms are spacious, but too few closets. Really loved the incredibly welcoming and hospitable staff at the hotel who went out of their way to make us feel at home and make the stay as enjoyable as possible. The property is very expensive for the area. The service was lovely except for the last day when we needed to leave the hotel and get to the bus station to leave Hakuba. The front desk staff was unable to find a taxi to pick us up and the hotel shuttle could not be sent to the bus station for an 8 am instead of 9 am run. We were not able to make the departure bus that we hoped to get on. We eventually took the hotel's shuttle van 30 minutes after our hoped for departure and caught a bus out of town and Aside from the lack of transportation coordination and the fact that the hotel charged me an additional $500 at checkout for my kids lodging and food (which I thought I had paid through the high Expedia price of $1,600 for 2 nights) there was much that was good about the hotel. We loved our beautiful dinners and breakfast buffets, the room was spacious and comfortable, the complimentary wine at happy hour in the lounge was lovely. But in the end, the very high price per night for the 4 of us paired with the stress on our departure day (which we began talking with the hotel staff about the afternoon prior) made for a less than perfect experience.

Clean rooms, friendly staff and overall amazing property! The amenities were wonderful! There are both private and shared onsens you can take advantage of, complimentary happy hour drinks and snacks, massage chairs, and a complimentary shuttle that you can reserve spots on to take you through the town and slopes!

各所にくつろげるスペースがありよかったです。 庭の草花もとてもきれいでした。 西館廊下は少し暗い感じでしたが、近隣の飲食店への送迎サービスや、館内コーヒーサービスなど、トータルでお値打ちなリゾートホテルだと思います。

Fantastic property, quaint feeling, great amenities. The room is a bit dated and pillows and bed is rock solid hard. But the hotel has many other qualities that make up. The view of the natural surroundings is amazing. The Onsen private and non private was great. Staff tried really hard to make the best stay possible. Was nice to have a tea lounge to sit in daily, unlimited natural water and apple juice and some hot wine. They have a light snack canteen, that free until 8pm, at this point what’s the need for a convenience store everything is at your fingertips here. I had a great stay and can’t wait to come back again.

My partner and I were absolutely blown away when we arrived at this property in the middle of a snow season. I can’t even describe it beauty. Everything was conveniently, with a light lunch/dinner provided at no charge. It was so nice to come home from a day at the slopes and eat amazing warm food! They also provide afternoon tea with wine, where you can overlook a gorgeous view. Complimentary private onsens was another highlight. The rooms were spacious, very clean and had heated floors. Transport to town and ski resorts was so easy, as was hitting ski gear. We will definitely be back!

The property is nice, the onsen is a terrific feature and the staff were excellent and helpful with our many questions for inbound/outbound travel. The property is nice, the onsen is a terrific feature and the staff were excellent and helpful with our many questions for inbound/outbound travel. Clean rooms, friendly staff and overall amazing property! The amenities were wonderful! There are both private and shared onsens you can take advantage of, complimentary happy hour drinks and snacks, massage chairs, and a complimentary shuttle that you can reserve spots on to take you through the town and slopes!
